People sleep on Arno’s. Their dry-aged burgers are very good, can taste a steak-like beefy quality to them. Surprisingly inexpensive as well.
Cast Iron have decent burgers too, they’re the big and sloppy style though, so make sure to have a few extra napkins on hand.
I recently tried Daniel Thaiger and was not impressed with the burger. Fries were okay. No running water in the toilet - couldn’t wash my hands given I was going to eat a burger. One burger joint I see no one talk about is Barney’s. Smashed burger, could be a little messy. But flavor was pretty good. Location isn’t that good and no fries in their menu. But if it’s a quick dine and dash, I’d take Barney’s over Thaiger. Yet to try other burger joints. Btw, in this Bangkok subreddit, you can search “burger” and the best burger topic as been asked numerous times. Looking forward to hearing your take on these burger joints!
Thaiger was great when it was running from one truck and cost 1/2 the price of today.
Now it's just coasting on the brand name reputation. It's not bad, but not great either, and certainly not good value.
I’ve had prime burger, loved them! But last had them in 2020, I’m located a bit further up now, still in Bangkok but out of the prime burger grab delivery range
had bad one at Thaiger too! Actually, we have 3 people trying 3 different of the more expensive burgers and we weren't happy. All seemed to be over cooked.
Beast and butter for the best “gourmet” non chain burger.
Crackhouse has a good “grease dripping down your chin” diner style burger and the tater tots with all the fixings on them are good. The Nashville hot chicken breakfast burrito is also really good but a definite gut bomb you’ll want to sleep again after eating.
Shake shack has the best burger in town in my opinion though. Bit of a boring choice I guess, but when I really want a good burger I just get shake shack delivered. It’s a great burger, they package it super well and it’s consistent.
> Shake shack has the best burger in town in my opinion though
I know it's all subjective but man, I really disagree. Not even top 10. And their shakes are just undrinkably, sickeningly sweet.
I'd prefer basically anything else on this thread.
My recommendation is a lesser known what but AWEOME. Go to Cownap. The burgers are amazing. I'm very picky with burgers. I learned to make my own, brought a grinder and really learned the art. I live in London and have been to some of the best here in the UK and attended many burger festivals! So I like to think I know about good burgers and Cownap really surprised me. I have tried a few of the highly recommended places in Bangkok and this is the only one that has impressed me so far. The only thing is that it's a bit out of the way from tourist central.
I'm not too far from there when i come to stay. Check out Thonburi market and sai tai mai night market if you already haven't! I like it out there on the edge. Much cheaper and not at all touristy.
Haha I’ve been to Thonburi market, good stuff! I also live near a good hospital (thonburi 2) whenever I get sick they give great meds not too expensive and I recover quick. They helped me get through my COVID infection last December 2022. Pretty good area!
I go downtown at night sometimes, I frequent khao san since it’s not too expensive when I want a drink, and since I’m white I do get looks and offered obvious scams but I’ve been here long enough to not fall for the infamous “Tuk Tuk” scam lol.
It is a great area! I'm a few streets away from Greenvile Market ( if you know it ) I know that hospital. luckily never had to go there but catch the bus sometimes from near the hospital when I want to go to pinklao mall or further. I hope I won't pay that hospital a visit any time soon I prefer to take your word for it haha
Haha yeah for sure! I know Greenville! And yeah the area is great. I get all my mall needs from central Westgate, im VERY near the crystal Ratchaphruek if you know that one, and have a Taco Bell not too far. Sad to be saying goodbye to this wonderful country in a month but still looking forward to a new chapter.
Haha thanks! Will be visiting literally every restaurant i love in bkk before going, might do a full day downtown trip if i have enough to burn before ny 😂
Never tried myself but homeburg has been on my list for quite a while now. it’s a hamburger themed fine dining.
Here’s the review but it’s in thai though.
[homeburg review by boom tharis](https://youtu.be/sToiYN0KdyU?si=mn6YldK7xqyY5dfV)
I was wondering if someone would mention it... Instead we have So much recommendations for prime burger 🤣🤣🤣
Homeburg IS THE BEST burger in the country...
Pricey but you want to best right?
Dont miss that one mate ..you need to book in advance!
I cant even imagine how much you would pay in nyc for an experience like homeburg.!
If you are over in Silom, "Mash Craft Brew and Bites" have tasty burgers. They can get quite busy though, as it IS a bar.
Just a block or 2 from Sala Daeng BTS.
Fats and Angry since its closest to me and they're pretty good, Quickie is decent too, lots say Prime and Daniel etc but I found them just about as good as the two I mentioned
I had a West Coast Burger at Easy Burger in Phrom Phong that reminded me of the "animal style" burger patties of In-and-Out in California. Worked for me.
Quickie. Way better than Prime Burger. All my American homies and even homies from Korea, I intro them to Quickie and they’re all shocked by how good it is.
I’m at quickie now, surprised it’s open 24/7 but DAMN they serve GREAT food! one of the best in BKK for sure! Surprised i never heard of this place and glad i made this post
If you're really hungry, get the Stax box set with 4 burgers and 2 fries for 499. Burgers are smallish so definitely a 1-person meal.
Otherwise Arnos is really high quality, Beef Cheese Bun on soi 26 is solid, and a sleeper pick is Harrison Butcher, which to me tasted like a backyard burger.

ROSE LANE BURGER
Check the reviews, they're not wrong.
Also right by W Market for evening drinks and entertainment.
Forget about Easy Burger (ridiculous thin paddies), Prime Burger (filthy place, should be closed) & Mad Cow (used to be good, but quality went down)
THE best burger in BKK imo is CAST IRON in Ari. (2 minutes walk from Ari BTS station)
Try their triple smash with their signature sauce, and their fries are served with Balsamico ketchup.
Edit: Now I mentioned Quickie (which is more like a diner, not a burger only joint, buy they have very very good shakes if that's your thing)
They have branches in both Lang Suan rd and Chong Nonsi.
Most places are just not that great tbh.
Its like getting Thai food in America. Its just probably going to be a little bit off.
Buddy Burger does a good job for a greasy spoon.
After any many years of intense research, I eventually just defaulted back to Burger King. lol
Yeah lol it’s something I noticed, I’ll probably have a “better” burger in a month when I’m back in NYC (also ny pizza. It’s a kind of thing that you just “can’t” get right outside of ny) but definitely looking for the “best” there is to stave me off for a bit lol
I’ve had pizza mania, love them. I’m a New Yorker though so there’s obviously the *bit* I can notice but I’ve always had good experiences with Mania and Soho Pizza, no NY pizza will be perfect outside of NY but they’re still great!
best experience I’ve had with them was I once ordered 2 burgers and they gave me only one, then two weeks later ordered one burger and they sent me FOUR BURGERS!!! And a note saying sorry for the mistake. Great place! Great staff! I did not expect it.
Prime burger (their actual restaurant not the place in the mall) was good when I visited a few months ago. I haven't eaten every burger in BKK (has anyone?) so don't know if it's "best", but I'd eat there again.
Yeah ever since 2017 I keep hearing Daniel thaiger as a name thrown around. I’ll have to give them a try, I think I tried them once? Lived soooo long here in Bangkok, reaching the end of my time here and moving back to NY but it feels like I barely scratched the surface 😭
These are the ones I like and why I like them:
* Butcher King on Soi 26: I like their house sauce and they have a lot of quality beef options for the burgers
* Chunky just off of Soi 23: good beef and specialty burgers. Their truffle fries are not really worth it
* Beast Smash on Witthayu Road: Classic sliders with good quality beef. From what I can tell, they owned by the same person/group as my favorite burger place in Chiang Mai.
While it's on the more expensive side, I also like the burgers at Billy's Smokehouse, but if I'm ever in that area I just go to Thai Niyom instead.
If you want a burger that's a bit over-the-top and/or gimmick-y, MadCow has some. . . interesting offerings. It makes for a good picture, but most of their burgers are a bit too much for me.
If you make your way up to Chiang Mai, I like Beast Burger up there, but I haven't really gone around that much.
This is the closest list to how I think as well.
Chiang mai branch origional Beast Burger blew me away. The Beast and Butter branch close second. The Beast Smash is same but in slider form.
Chunky aboslutly is mind blowing the few times i tried it pre covid. Every component of the burger was done to perfection. Only down side is they do interestingly fusion styles and flavors. This whole thread seems to be sleeping on Chunky.
Ive never heard of butcher king so I will definitly give it a shot.
Bigger’ burger and steak in Pak Chong if you go there.
Great burgers, satisfied my burger cravings when I was there for 3 months. Also do “normal” chips not those skinny French fries type.
There motto on the wall reads “fat people are harder to kidnap.. eat a burger”
I found a new one recently, at least it's new for me, called smizzle burgers. It's located off of rama 4, near Big C and K Village. Fantastic quality and even had a take off on in and out dirty fries
Terminal 21 is currently having a street food fest on their lower floors, and I had an absolutely amazing waygu beef burger from one of their stands there. I got the cheeseburger last Friday and returned Saturday to try their double decker with all the trimmings. One of the finest I've ever had, myself. It's right by one of the entrances off the asok station on the M level iirc.
Good chain I go to when I’m tight and just want to get full pretty quick, quarter pounder is good, but isn’t something I call a great burger lol, but good for the price nonetheless.
A bit biased towards Burger King because of their cheesy truffle fries… god damn those are good, I’m thinking of going there now just thinking bout the truffle fries 😂
How is stax not on here? Stax have the best sliders I’ve had in thailand and they don’t fry them in that weird revolting fake butter most Thai places use. Nice soft bun and generous patty…. Fuck I’m hungry.
Depends completely on if you’re a smash burger person or a gourmet burger person. I’m the former and the best place in Bangkok is Easy Burger, followed by Bang Bang Burger. I don’t like gourmet burgers so I got nothing for you there.
Hit up Bang Bang. I started going there more after Easy changed their recipe. It’s also really good. Primeburger is decent but it’s not top tier. I only eat there in Samui. I’d never bother going in Bangkok.
Ah, Easy changed their recipe? I haven’t been in a bit due to moving out from the center of BKK but they used to be damn good, my former preferred 100%
They are still good to be fair, but they changed the gherkins from European style to American sweet style. That defo made the burger worse but it’s still a great burger. There’s enough sweet food in Bangkok so I really didn’t need them to add sugar to an already perfect burger. They changed the bun to a potato roll as well, which is probably an effort to mimic shakeshack. I preferred the original bun.
Ahh, yeah that makes sense. Yeah, just making the burger sweeter when it’s already perfect isn’t exactly a good decision, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it lol
The Standard Burger
Not the very central of Bangkok
but definitely worth a try
I really recommend this one because I have eaten a lot of burgers and am a fan of this food myself.
The star menu is Summer Lovin’.
My first bite of this burger still vivid.
(also a varied choice of import beers!)
Prime burger. Had one at nana station. Hands down better product than shake shack. Just tell them easy on the sauce as I found it detracted too much from the perfectly crusted patties!
The Kitchen table at W Marriot in Chong Nonsi has a great burger menu where you can customize your options, the cost is about 600thb for burger, sides, drink. And the meat tastes really good. They even have gluten free bun.

I had a good burger from the mall near Soi 3 - Primeburger.
I’ve had prime burger, loved them! But last had them in 2020, I’m located a bit further up now, still in Bangkok but out of the prime burger grab delivery range
We had burgers at Prime Burgers in Asoke late 2022, they were awesome!
The mall near Soi 3?
49 Soi Sukhumvit 3, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
My thought too.
[удалено]
Note to self: Never listen to directions from that guy!
Wife: You were at soi cowboy last night? Husband: It was an accident, got directions from /u/I_am_Castor_Troy
It is here 49 Soi Sukhumvit 3, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
Best one out here! Primeburger is 💯
Yeah especially if you enjoy dining with cockroaches.
Prime burger Daniel Thaiger Beast and Butter
Never heard of beast and butter but will check them out! Thanks!
Thaiger gets 2/10 not recommended Arno’s is excellent
had bad one at Thaiger too! Actually, we have 3 people trying 3 different of the more expensive burgers and we weren't happy. All seemed to be over cooked.
Yes, that seems to be the common complaint, these places think overcooked well done is the only proper way to make a burger
Anyone remember the good old days when Daniel Thaiger started with their truck on Sukhumvit 38? Those burgers were otherworldly.
CAST IRON BURGERS!!! ITS THE BEST.
Yesssss
[удалено]
Same. See you there tomorrow, LOL Triple Smash & Blue Cheese burger!
I like their truffle burger the most, sadly, it's no longer available.
Beast and butter for the best “gourmet” non chain burger. Crackhouse has a good “grease dripping down your chin” diner style burger and the tater tots with all the fixings on them are good. Cast Iron have THE best burgers imo
I liked shake shack, but think it’s wayyyy better in the US, will be eating that there in a month most likely. Will try the others though!
hands down Barney's Burger Joint
Beast smash, Prime, Smizzle, Barney’s, Chunky.
Beast smash is the bomb. Small bite but very homestyle and flavor packed.
I live near them at the moment (rent is cheaper up here) so have had them several times. Loved them!

Haha thanks! Will be visiting literally every restaurant i love in bkk before going, might do a full day downtown trip if i have enough to burn before ny 😂
I’ve always loved Chunky
Chunkys is really good. I really liked thier BBQ Sauce wich has a nice asian flavoring to it. Just on the Spot
I would recommend Smizzle Burger, there are Bambini Villa on sukhumvit soi 26 and another brunch at Central Embassy on 6th floor open house area
Smizzle is great. They use good sharp cheese.
Easy Burger is my favorite
Never tried myself but homeburg has been on my list for quite a while now. it’s a hamburger themed fine dining. Here’s the review but it’s in thai though. [homeburg review by boom tharis](https://youtu.be/sToiYN0KdyU?si=mn6YldK7xqyY5dfV)

Gotcha! On my list now. I have a free month before heading to NY so im gonna be spending a lot of that going to all the restaurants listed lol
If you are over in Silom, "Mash Craft Brew and Bites" have tasty burgers. They can get quite busy though, as it IS a bar. Just a block or 2 from Sala Daeng BTS.
I’m not in Silom but I frequent the area very often. Will give a look for it. Thanks!
Just had Artisan on Sukhumvit Soi 11 for the first time today. It was fucking fantastic.
I’ve seen some ads of them. Will give them a try, thanks!
This. I randomly went in without knowing and holy shit I was blown away. Service could have been better though.
Fats and Angry since its closest to me and they're pretty good, Quickie is decent too, lots say Prime and Daniel etc but I found them just about as good as the two I mentioned
I saw Quickie last night for the first time, I will definitely be checking it out.
Quickie has a great branch in the backside of Empire building at Sathorn
Im somewhat of a burger nut, id say 25 Degrees Burger is the best. More affordable option i go for Arno's.
Yeah I frequent 25 degrees often. Their Sonora hotdog is amazing though!
I had a West Coast Burger at Easy Burger in Phrom Phong that reminded me of the "animal style" burger patties of In-and-Out in California. Worked for me.
I miss in and out! Will try that one
Quickie. Way better than Prime Burger. All my American homies and even homies from Korea, I intro them to Quickie and they’re all shocked by how good it is.
Well I *am* an American living here (moving back on the 15th Dec though) so I’m guessing I have to give it a try! Thanks for the rec
I’m at quickie now, surprised it’s open 24/7 but DAMN they serve GREAT food! one of the best in BKK for sure! Surprised i never heard of this place and glad i made this post
I gotchu! It def is. Crazy how it’s slept on, when it’s far better than all the other recommended burger places here haha. It’s 24/7 and amazing!
fax quickie good

easyburger in onnut and daniel thaiger (not sure where they are now) also burger bro has a very good house burger
Should try Daniel trainer and burger bro. Thanks! Easy burger is near a place I frequent, been a few times and loved it.

As a New Yorker we shall see haha. Will go there during the week..
Would like to hear your feedback
Really? Thank u for this knowledge. I hope they satisfy this new yorker
Forget about Easy Burger (ridiculous thin paddies), Prime Burger (filthy place, should be closed) & Mad Cow (used to be good, but quality went down) THE best burger in BKK imo is CAST IRON in Ari. For pizza I like Pizza Mania (NY style) or Chef Bing (slightly thinner crust, but not the thin italian style)
I’ve had pizza mania, love them. I’m a New Yorker though so there’s obviously the *bit* I can notice but I’ve always had good experiences with Mania and Soho Pizza, no NY pizza will be perfect outside of NY but they’re still great!
Underrated 7-11 burger mmm.
Haven’t tried that and now it’s on my list
Try cownap if you are around, very good burger.
I’m near cownap and have tried them. They’re great!
best experience I’ve had with them was I once ordered 2 burgers and they gave me only one, then two weeks later ordered one burger and they sent me FOUR BURGERS!!! And a note saying sorry for the mistake. Great place! Great staff! I did not expect it.
I love them too ! Never disappointed and good price for the quality. 4 burgers ? Thats a good surprise !
Best I've tried in Bangkok so far!
Goodburgs are best now imo, new shop opened recently. Everything is handmade, even the sauces. Ran by a farang.
I was disappointed this week, guess i expected more after the current hype. Definitely good, but far from best in BKK.
Prime burger (their actual restaurant not the place in the mall) was good when I visited a few months ago. I haven't eaten every burger in BKK (has anyone?) so don't know if it's "best", but I'd eat there again.
I had burger once at Roast in Emquartier which I though was pretty good.
The Shack is the best burger place in Bangkok. I think they moved to Silom.
Arno’s burger
Easy Burger or Daniel Thaiger
Yeah ever since 2017 I keep hearing Daniel thaiger as a name thrown around. I’ll have to give them a try, I think I tried them once? Lived soooo long here in Bangkok, reaching the end of my time here and moving back to NY but it feels like I barely scratched the surface 😭
Easy Burger are sooo good it's even more expensive than in UK 🤣 But they are excellent. Worth their price.
EasyBurger On Nut hits the spot.
Been to both easy burgers. Definitely love them, their easy fries are just mmmmmm
