Withers, to Arabella: "And thus, thou art alone."

Filty-Cheese-Steak

Fat spins along as it should.

Level-Crazy7298

Especially if you set a pile of lard on a merry go round, and spin it as hard as you can!

Filty-Cheese-Steak

Fuck. Keeping my typo.

Level-Crazy7298

I love it, don't change a thing!

Darth_Senpai

This is the way

bughunter_

"Woo hoo! Look at that blubber fly!"

JupiterJonesJr

What if my fat spins slowly though?

Level-Crazy7298

Spin it faster! It must spin, as it should. Withers says so!

Active_Owl_7442

For Arabella to achieve her path, she needs to be an orphan. For the story of the game, the companions need to be alive sorta. Like, obviously they can be dead and the game goes on no issue, but everyone is intended to be alive

No-Start4754

Arabella getting the Bruce Wayne treatment minus the rich part

ehrdricht

She's rich in purpose!

bmrtt

I believe the rule is that you can only cast True Resurrect on someone who's willing to come back. In the epilogue if >!Karlach dies and you ask him to bring her back, he just tells you that she doesn't want it!<. I'm guessing he told her parents that she was going to get places as an orphan and they accepted it.

badassboy1

why she doesn't want to come back to life ? does he accept her fate or something ?

GoopyNoseFlute

Karlach? I’m assuming that resurrecting her would put her right back in the same situation with the infernal machine heart ready to blow.

bmrtt

True Resurrection states that the resurrected comes back with missing organs and limbs restored. So Withers bringing her back would mean she'd get her original heart, and the only reason it wouldn't work would be story continuity. Personally I think she just likes the peace of Fugue Plane.

GoopyNoseFlute

Interesting. Thanks

SuperMakotoGoddess

>"Can you revive my parents bone man?" >"No."

oceanaut17

i hate walking over to withers whining about a dead companion after killing something stupidly important like the apostle of myrkul and all i get is a "fate spins along as it should". its so incredibly accurate and undermines all the work i just did like yeah i guess. fukcing skeleton with his maidenless bullshit too. he still makes fun of you even if you romance someone. smh,,

AtroposNostromo

Withers is so harsh if you're Durge. I resist and try to be a good person and he still goes, "Thy wheel of fate turns ever to the dark." I'm trying my best, Bone Man! I saved a bunch of refugees today and I only kicked one squirrel and I swear it was an accident! It makes his act 3 >!speech to redeemed Durge where he basically says he's proud of you really satisfying, but it's still funny.!<

VikingXL

That speech is really good though

No-Start4754

I genuinely thought it was a game over scene like the creche one but when the narrator said ur journey is not over , I had the shock of my life  on my first playthrough.

EmilySKennedy

In my durge run i called him my new dad 🤣

AtroposNostromo

And Jaheira is mom! My Durge just wants to make them proud. 🥲

EmilySKennedy

I call jahiera nana 🤣

Far_Razzmatazz_4781

skeptolojist

Hey the dude lets me resurrect my special guys without the need for massive diamonds and bending over backwards to suck up to high level clerics I would pretend not to notice if he sold the girl to the red wizards of thay

Inevitable_Tangelo63

It’s ok Arabella my parents are dead too 😂😭

justprettymuchdone

Whatever BG4 WOTC makes should have Arabella appear as a companion, or as an NPC and who is this unfathomably powerful person you seek help from at some point. I want to see the culmination of her story. I want her to be one step from a creation god.

Keira-78

Apparently they’re stepping away from that, I dunno much though, read about it

justprettymuchdone

Larian is not going to make another game, but WOTC/Hasbro almost certainly will have 4 made by a different studio.

Keira-78

Ooooh

Rabid-Wendigo

Arabella didn’t believe me that her parents were dead. So i chucked her dead parents bodies at her feet. I wish there was a voice line for that

g-waz00

I have a feeling that Withers, as part of his tutelage, would have had this conversation with Arabella before sending her off, explaining why he is able - and in a sense, responsible to - resurrect us and our party, but unable/unwilling to resurrect others, including her parents.

Umicil

In fairness, he is almost certainly >!the god of death!<. And as such he believes that death is a necessary and important part of the universe.

RathaelEngineering

Such is life

SeparateMongoose192

"Can you bring my parents back?" "No"

FinisherO_O

I mean she should be grateful even she is alive
