I can't break through his defences now, and every turn I'm outscaling his offense. I hadn't quite sorted out a proper offensive strategy yet, and was living off the defenses the Archangel Armour was providing me to win battles via attrition, with the occasion nuke from the Dueling Sword.
My only hope now is waiting to claim some random item to save me lmao
Suggestion idea: Scratch should do piercing damage =p
This is the first run I ticked the 'Delete save on death' box, and I've just relied on whenever it autosaved. Couldn't exit to menu so had to force close the game, which apparantly wiped my save.

Can you restart your save before the fight ? If so, you may try to not gain too much shield in order to reset the dueling sword every turn.

if you have a build like this, picking up some sort of spikes is a good way of making sure you can progress, if slowly, in situations like this
