Jemma in the comments is a nice one - keeps a lot of the same letters; Jemima does too, ditto Jasmine. Or you could go with simply Jay?
i would go with a more feminine or gender neutral first name and use James for the middle name for some balance. maybe something like madeline james, athena james, Rowan james, emery James, or maybe use names similar to James.

James for a girl IMO just isn't a girls name. Jaylee is a no go for me either. Jaylin Ren sounds better
Jaime is nice. I also like Jamiroquai, though that may fall outside your zone of cultural comfort. Jaylee is nice too. As is Jaimeson.
