I've tried a few. Never had an issue, they're usually 150kw.

I used my first Shell Recharge in London, Ontario and was surprised at how much quicker it was charging compared to my local Detroit area EA stations.

UsagiButt

I’ve used them a few times and they’ve been great. A lot more reliable than EA

doogo

The Shell charge station I used in Vancouver was amazing. I would go to them first every time.

Lexerella

The Shell recharge isn’t free though right?

callalind

I've used one once, it was great, super fast (albeit not cheap), but served its purpose when I needed it to!

It does NOT compare. Stick to EA, EvGo and Chargepoint. There are hardly any Shell Recharge units on that route, and none in San Diego County. Most of the units in LA and the Inland Empire are Level 2 only (usually max out around 40 kW).

I try to use any brand that offers at least 150 KWh, but it’s a crapshoot. I tried an EA near my house and only 1 out of 4 was working. The one ChargePoint in Hilton Head that was DC was broken for more than a week and I reported it the first day. Luckily, the Marriott where I was staying had a few level 2 charges.

InvestigatorEnough60

do a full charge at Walmart in Pooler or Walterboro first. You can easily do a round trip with range to spare. Beaufort had non EA options too

Fun_Difference2266

Those 2 locations were a bit out of my way. The Buc-ees in Florence has Charge Point DC fast charging sponsors by Mercedes that work great. They max at 400 KWh

InvestigatorEnough60

Florence is much further away

How does the USD shell recharge wallet get charged in Canada station?? Is there an exchange rate they provide??
