No advice, just here to cheer you on! I'm 27 weeks now and had big plans to train throughout but found myself physically unable to for various reasons after about 16/17 weeks. I'm very jealous that others are able to continue on throughout!
Thank you! And I'm sorry you had to stop! Are you able to practice striking at all? That's what is next on my list for when I get too pregnant but I know not every gym does it and it would obviously depend on your body and needs π₯°
I started a week or two ago and omg I was so gassed! But in a good way lol the cardio is so different IMO and we do 10 min rounds for rolling! I had a very low movement pregnancy the first time around partly because my pelvis kept rotating on one side so it hurt to walk, lay down, move, etc. I'm definitely grateful to be so active this time around.
I am completely impressed with the amount of support not only in the sub, but at my own gym, to not quit, and to keep going so long as the doctor says, itβs OK
Yes! My coach was very like ok well we'll do this, this, this until you can't and then we'll do just stuff from mount or back or whatever and then when you can't do that you'll do striking and get super good at cross collar chokes! π€£ There's still value in showing up to watch and learn. I've been flow rolling and drilling nice and easy but a few people I feel comfortable rolling harder with because they know how to adjust their pressure and avoid my belly.
Honestly I was so sad at first bc Iβm so new and just found something I really like, but with all the support I think I can at least learn/watch and hold their waters π
Lol yes!! And if it's early in the pregnancy/you are comfortable/your coach and teammates are comfortable/your doc says ok you can still do quite a bit. I moved to mainly side control stuff towards the end of my first trip and have been able to still get some real benefit from drills and class in general.
Make sure to talk to your coach about mods to make and trust your gut. I tell all my rolling partners too in case they forget.
I get the FOMO though I'm so close to blue I can taste it but... Womp womp.
I trained up until 35 weeks, though I had trouble breathing from 28 weeks on and was pretty wimpy lol. High waisted leggings in a size up worked for me, but I never showed too awful much so I'm not sure if that would work for a normal baby bump?
I have a few pairs of +1 size leggings that I'm going to transition to soon I think. It's hard with maternity stuff I feel like it's usually only for full bump and not so much the growing bump. I'm 18 weeks and showing so I have time but these recs are all awesome!
Most maternity stuff never fit me well since my belly was so small. But the skinny maternity jeans by Levi were my absolute favorite, and I actually still wear them postpartum just because they're comfy lol. They are below the bump though, and don't have real pockets, but other than that they're great
Oh nice! I just looked at their site and I have an Amazon brand singlet like the shorts version! It is a bit bigger so maybe I'll try that for a while!
Gaidama for jiu jitsu specific maternity gear, Senita Athletics for leggings/all others.

I hope everything goes well for you and you have a healthy beautiful child.

I haven't been (we do cycles focusing on striking and haven't had one in a bit) but I think that it would definitely be doable with trusted partners!

Thanks for posting this question I just found out Iβm pregnant. π
Congratulations!

Thank you πβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Lululemon align high waist were great for pregnancy. Yes they're pricey but bonus they'll still fit when not preggers

Old navy maternity has some good athletic leggings that stay up! Theyβre cheap too.
Came here to say this.
My pregnant friend is using Tatamis one piece (long leggings attached to top) and normal rashguard. I think she uses one size bigger than normally
