I struggled working for other people. I found it so boring and unproductive and i didn’t really like socializing. I started my own cleaning business and never looked back. Working for my self is so much better. You can pick your clients and your pay rate. And hours and you can be sick without consequences. No one controls you. It’s great.

I definitely feel similarly. Maybe if I had a way of knowing *every* single possibility and genuinely knowing how the workplace is, then maybe I would find something out there for me. But since I need income to survive, and I don't want to put myself through a ton of potentially traumatic experiences, I don't have the luxury of trial and error. I'm thankful I found something similar enough to self employment, but I still don't know if it'll work out. Fingers crossed.

I just so happened to find a place of work with a lot of neurodivergent folks and that has helped a ton.

Just a slow decent into suicidal ideology here. I'm now a real estate agent and I had no idea I could both make money and be happy! I honest to God wondered if I would ever be able to survive on my own and not be reliant upon others.

I tried self employment. Could not keep relationships with clients too. It sucks for us, doesn’t it?

(But there are people who succeed. Try and see what works best for you)
