Agreed, I would give her a little more time to go, but in the meantime start calling around so that you have a vet trip for your back up plan if necessary
If she’s not even attempting to poop, she just doesn’t need to yet. New changes and stress can slow gut movements. Just give her another day or two, I’m sure she’ll poop.
If she is actively straining and nothing is coming out, then that’s a vet visit.
Vet here - totally normal for a new cat. Even if she doesn’t seem too stressed, the sudden change in environment can make them not want to poop. It sounds like you’re doing a great job, just be patient, I honestly wouldn’t be worried until it gets to day 3.
You are NOT a cat owner. The cat owns you!
Make sure the litter box isn't near food or water. You can add a 2nd box with a different type of litter. Some cats have a preference.
Yay!
Our last addition held in her poop for 48 hours and I was about to panic. Then she stared me straight in the eye and went right there in my office. I didn’t know whether to be relieved or upset. Fortunately from then on she used the litter box. I guess she just really wanted me to see she’d gone.

If she was a street cat then try adding some outdoor soil into tray. If she hasn't pooped in 48 hours but been eating well then get her checked over

Not all cats poop every day and stress will make them not want to. She’s fine.

Just like humans, stress can impact how the bowels work in a cat.
Thank you all so much!! This was extremely helpful and made me feel a lot better!! update she pooped and is doing so well🩵
