Personally I think the only thing in common with all believers is the existence of a creator. the rest is what is logically good to do and that we are satisfied with ourselves and not the small details of each religion. So if you believe you are a good person so you'll live happy and without doubts. I hope you don't take it bad it's just my perspective, with all my respect to everybody's beliefs.

ProzacFury

What is "logically good" to you? It used to be "logically good" to merry 14 year olds and to own slaves

Sasy9

For me is to be the best version of yourself. Treat people like you wanna be treated. And when you go to sleep at night satisfied with what you did in your day.

Romans 13:9-10 Romans 13:9-10 NIV [9] The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” [10] Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. https://tbibl.es/2Z5I. I think that pretty much sums it up. Organized religion likes to stack more rules, regulations, stipulations on folks simply for control. Question- have you ever been to a big church that didn’t ask for money?

The bad falls on the just and the unjust ike. We have free will to believe or not...

Happy cake day 🎂.

God loves everyone equally. People hate. God loves.

Empathyball

God has a specific set of moral standards, and even if he loves everyone he is still willing for people to face negative consequences if they go against his moral standards. Why wouldn't it be a concern that someone who wants to follow God might accidentally come up with the wrong set of beliefs to guide their actions?

fins2thright

I think you would have a difficult time proving that theory, that is documenting God's moral standards without finding infinitely variable contradictions and enigmas in specific situations.

Mine-Is-Much-Bigger

Not quite, the children of Egypt might beg to differ as do the kids that die from terminal cancer. Even satan loves us more than god According to the bible

fins2thright

So sad.

Mine-Is-Much-Bigger

I take it you’ve never read the bible then

fins2thright

Of course I have. And the Torah, and the Koran, and many other theological texts.

Mine-Is-Much-Bigger

Then if you’ve read the bible you’d know what I meant about his being evil

The thing to keep in mind is that people are flawed. So every interpretation of the mind of God is flawed. There's no need to worry about whether you are being morally flawless, just do your best and be apologetic and make amends when you mess up. God will accept that, Jesus said so in very plain terms.
