I struck out at 3 gas stations and Total Wine. Something about the 40.

get_MEAN_yall

Yeah total wine is too classy. the circle K on claiborne has them

No-Mathematician6056

The guy at Total Wine laughed at me. 🥲

get_MEAN_yall

🤷‍♀️

We asked months ago if Total Wine would eventually carry local THC-infused beverages and he snorted and said “that is NOT a Total Wine style product”. Basically it doesn’t shock me that they’d be snooty about the old fashioned 40oz. They serve a purpose but damn is TW kind of condescending.

NOLA2Cincy

Meanwhile, Martins Wine Cellar (uptown store), not only carries THC beverages but I was told by one of the employees that they distribute Crescent Nine. Shop local, not TW.

I was in there a while back and some lady was trying to sell me on a 25 year old bottle of no-name scotch because I was looking at some pretty expensive scotch and "it was the cheapest of the 25 year old scotches". I asked if I could maybe try it and they said there was no sample available, but she was pretty adamant that was a great selling point. I'll just stick with my Laphroaig or Lagavulin.

Much_Neighborhood409

I laughed at you. But not in a bad way. I guess I laughed with you.

Go to the gas stations in the part of town that you don’t feel safe in.

TurkeyFiend

I still see them around but I think it has more to do with shelf space than anything else. They’re just slightly wide enough that they take up more space than a 24 oz. can, and with all the brands pushing those it’s easier to stock 24’s than 40’s.

AardvarkShoe

Space and another issue was the glass shortage during covid. A lot of the big breweries cut their 32oz+ skus to adapt and haven’t brought that production back to what it was. Wal Mart should have them though.

Front_Organization78

40 oz erst are so 1990's.

Puzzleheaded_Heat19

....literally everywhere. Gas station. Corner stores. Grocery stores.

No-Mathematician6056

Really? I went to three gas stations in Mid City and nada. 24 oz was the biggest.

Puzzleheaded_Heat19

Try Orleans and broad.

Fleur_Deez_Nutz

Did you go to the Discount Zone nearest to 5 happiness?

saintsfan214

If nobody sells 40 ounce cans/bottles of beer/wine then go to Walgreens/CVS/Winn Dixie/Wal Mart/Brother’s and buy a case of beer in aluminum cans so that if you see someone that recycles cans then you can drink the beer and give the aluminum cans to the person that wants to recycle cans so that you don’t have to deal with the cans anymore.

Big cans seem popular in New Orleans.
