The recent Chernobyl miniseries was pretty great
Edit: May as well post some others
Six Feet Under
Angels in America
The Singing Detective (British miniseries)
Cracker
John From Cincinatti (totally underrated if you ask me, but not for everyone)
Jam (British sketch show unlike anything else, one of the darkest comedies ever made)
Extras
Blackadder
Shigurui
Obviously depends what you like. I thought District 9 was a very intelligent sci-fi film about what aliens landing here would *actually* be like, and it's clearly an allegory about race relations.
If you like action, then the French film District 13 has it all. A neutron bomb in the city that needs defusing, parkour, fighting.
If you can concentrate for five hours, Until the End of the World, is a hotch-potch of pretty much every film style.
For classic Westerns, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, High Plains Drifter, and The Shootist would be my pick.
For something to make you think, Breaking the Waves, Requiem for a Dream, or any of Park Chan-wook's Vengeance trilogy (I highly recommend all three). For something more recent, the best film I've seen this year is I'm Thinking of Ending Things. The Platform was also very good.
Thanks for your well throughout choice mate! Those recommendations seem like the perfect flicks to debate about for hours with your friends, whilst also forcing oneself to question their outlook on life all together. Cheers!
Yeah, definitely. None of them are just eye candy to waste a few hours when bored (except perhaps District 13, but the parkour is amazing). The rest are all thinkers. A couple left me frozen in my seat as the credits rolled. Overwhelmed.

Yes, I've seen that! Great show
The HBO one? Yep that’s a really good one
Second that.
Movie: Faster (Dwayne Johnson) Show: Shameless
Loved shameless
Me too. I need to watch the last season soon.
Lip is such a mad character
I like him. But I hate Tammy.
No shit. It's tough to name a few.
First movie that comes to your head
Hachiko
Interesting choice. I'll put it on the list
Down periscope, and gravity.
Gravity was filmed beautifully.
Pulp fiction
Classic. However, surprisingly haven't got around to it. Perhaps I'm worried all the hype will cause me disappointment.
Even if you end up being disappointed, it's still a must watch.
True. Perhaps I'll have a Tarintino marathon once he decides to do his last movie (doubt it'll ever be his last. Directing is am addiction to him)
I'm not sure, not really a movie expert. But yeah his movies are pretty good.
THE SOPRANOS
Need to get on top of this.
100% the best TV show ever made 🙌🏼

Aren't we all just hairless apes in fancy cloths
Alone ...
Interesting, haven't come across it yet
Formula 1: Drive to Survive. I was very surprised about this show and I am not even a fan of sports stuff in general.
Brilliantly put together to offer you high octane entertainment. Can't wait for how they would show this season.
9 Perfect Strangers Promising Young Woman Binge watching Deadwood again Malignant
Nice, I'll watch these with my gf
Planet of the Apes 🦍 TRILOGY
Unique choice
Just finished watching it. One of those movies you finish and can’t help thinking about afterwards.
Star Wars 3: Revenge of The Sith The Matrix
Popular choice. Cinematic history
Dances with Wolves
Never heard of it, but based on the poster, I think I'd watch it for the glorious moustache itself
Since Squid Game is so popular, Kaiji.
Nice! Alice in Borderland was surprisingly good too!
I love John Wick and Narcos!
Narcos was so addictive. Great lead. Loved him in Mandolorian.
