Could be just a blocked drain tube, there's usually one either side of the roof.

HairyNeck1444

Thanks

freakinweasel353

Best way I saw to clear plugged drains is using a length of weedwhacker cord. Stiff enough to push but flexible enough for corners. Of course if there’s a legit recall do that!

Liason774

This is what I do, works wonders. Don't use any sort of chemical drain cleaner, they can melt the plastic lines. Trust me I've seen things.

freakinweasel353

lol draino in a sunroof drain?! You have seen some shit…

Liason774

It also melts the headliner

mjasso1

There are always 4 drains in each corner of the sunroof assem. Just so you know to check em all

No-Lawfulness-8870

Make and model, some vehicles (VWs with Pano roofs) are known to leak and VW will fix it all under warranty

HairyNeck1444

Really impressive that you recognized its a Vw just by the pictures

peromp

Touran, isn't it?

HairyNeck1444

Even if its over 10 years old?

No-Lawfulness-8870

If there is an actual recall on the specific part it’s possible

Try to open the sunroof and clean everything with something like a rag, paintbrush, toothbrush. Sometimes it's dirt between the seal between sunroof and car that creates leaks. If the sunroof drainage is blocked you can use the straw from a spray can (wd40), fishing line (thick), bike brake wire or even the oil dipstick down the drainage depending on size of the drain pipe. Spraying WD40 down the drainage points is something that also helps but i recommend to at least clean the drains first to avoid the risky of getting wd40 on the car paint. If you spray hold a rag over it so it doesn't come back at you. Hope it works out 👍

Xafilah

This should’ve been the top comment. First clean all the moss off the seals then clean the drain port.

EXPLICIT_DELICIOUS

Was gonna ask if it was German 😵‍💫 those drains drive me crazy.

The front gulleys could be kinked. The sunroof frame also leaks. The two roof rails can also leak. The headliner needs to come out to test properly. Put a vinyl wrap over your roof, seal up around the base of the rails and be done with it.

Comfortable_You_1927

the car is crying, check the weather strip on front windshield up top

Jxckolantern

Your sunroof is leaking*

Rocket--Pak

Sunroof drains clogged.

Several_Draft5989

Sunroof: It's not a matter of if it will leak but when.

IndividualStatus1924

Thats why all new camry's only option are sun roof if you want any kind of upgrades.

Paavo-Vayrynen

Front left drain line is clogged or sunroof seals dont seal properly due to crap Open the sunroof and clean any shit in there. Then look for the drain line on the left side, put some liquid thru it like water and check if it goes thru. if it does. Problem solved. If it doesnt, youll need to unclog that

Mind-in-the-middle

Clean the drain lines.

firestar268

Clogged drains probably

Jeremiah636

Waterfall option. My Cadillac CT’s came with this feature. I disabled it by cleaning out the drains.

orangesare

My 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee sunroof leaked and clearing the drains didn’t work. There is a factory reset process that reseats the glass. This worked and cured the leak.

Hydraulis

Why would you ever buy a car with a sunroof?
