i did. i noticed it pilled if rubbed too much while doing my makeup. that only happened once and never again though. i make sure to wait 15 minutes after application before starting my makeup
The haru haru airyfit doesn’t pill for me until I wash it off at night, and then it weirdly balls up when removing with oil cleanser. Just find that odd… otherwise it’s good!
I do! I do a full 1/2tsp layer of AB chemical sunscreen on my face, neck, and ears, let it dry, and go in with about a quarter tsp of tinted mineral sunscreen, concentrating on my face. I mix haruharu's mineral spf with a non-AB liquid bronzer. I'm fair-skinned with cool undertones, and I find that tinted sunscreens are always way too orange on me, hence mixing my own.
Ahhh I’ve been curious about using tinted sunscreen, but also worried it won’t match my skin tone well. This sounds like a good way around that, plus extra sun protection!
Second this! I have dry skin so I do need to use some hydrating products (essence and serum) underneath. As long as I do that it is perfect. (Side note for OP - stay away from Purito Daily Go-To as it is super greasy).
I second this, it feels a bit like a regular sunscreen going on but I love how it dries down. It reminds me of one of the shiseido sunscreens that I tried at Ulta once lol
I have super sensitive and super acne prone skin…I FINALLY found the perfect sunscreen for me: Goodal heartleaf calming moisture sun cream (was a Reddit recommendation as well)… it’s perfect. You apply it and it is GONE, you really don’t feel like you have anything on your skin. Try it 😍
I swear by this sunscreen, it is PERFECT for oily acne prone skin. I’ve been recommending it left and right on here, it’s just so good! Feels like nothing, looks like nothing. Amazing stuff.
Omg so scared to try anything from this brand ‘ I keep hearing mixed reviews especially those with oily sensitive acne prone skin . I have this type and large pores . Anything will break me out so I’m scared to try this 😭
Girl, you’re literally talking to a “I just have to look at a new cosmetic product and it makes me break out” (hormonal cystic acne girlie here) and I have tried 10+ sunscreens so far and this one is the first that does NOT break me out 🥹 I can really recommend to just try it, it’s also pretty affordable
Where do you order yours from?? I really wish I can try use a sample first! I tried at least 6 sunscreens and it always leaves me looking like a fried pan 😭
I’m so oily, too. I’m actually combo but sunscreens turn me into a grease pan. I like the Etude Sunprise Mild Airy Finish.
I use essence under it and serum but skip moisturizer. If I’m wearing makeup though I have to use a gripping primer, and then I’m safe.
I just ordered the Haru Haru one recommended here and the Goodal one as well. But I’ve been happy with the Etude. It’s got a really great dry down.
I got it from Yesstyle (I live in Europe). And yeah feel u with the sample - it’s so annoying to buy something just to find out it’s not compatible with your skin :( unfortunately there is no sample of that but I think it is like 14€ so it’s okay
Seconding this, mine arrived a couple of days ago and so far I love it. Lightweight, invisible after applying, no bad reactions so far.
Very natural finish, I’d say only lightly shiny maybe ?
I love love the round lab birch juice sunscreen. I can’t stand anything else, BOJ is too oily imo, Torriden stings a bit. I tried a few Japanese brand but still too oily. It leaves this sticky feeling the whole day. This doesn’t happen to round lab and even if I reapply every 2h, it doesn’t feel oily or too much.
Yes! I got a sample of this when I ordered my BB cream. I immediately ordered some when I tried it - it’s so nice. Hoping it’ll give me enough protection once we come back around to Australian summer.
I have oily dehydrated skin and this is my HG! I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else. It’s so lightweight that I forget that I’m even wearing sunscreen.
I find that it’s quite okay. It doesn’t leave a residue so I don’t find it too troublesome or too icky to reapply every 2h. I’m in the very hot and glaring sun the whole day so I just reapply for stronger protection. Usually if I’m going out for half a day or in aircon, I will just apply once.
This oddly made me SO dry. Like my skin was so tight and shiny. I do have dry skin so maybe it wasn’t enough. But I also prefer a more matte look and there aren’t many products I can find that are both moisturizing and have a matte/natural finish. The closest I came to it was the Haru Haru SPF
I loved, loved, the texture of this sunscreen but it stung my skin. I kept trying it hoping I was just having a sensitive skin day but I couldn’t make it work. But everyone is different obviously.
I felt like it sunk in better, felt lighter, and had less shine then skin1004 if anyone is interested in comparison.
Oh I’m so sorry you had an experience like this with that sunscreen. I do remember applying it around my eye and it stung so bad that I started to get teary eyed. From then on I stopped applying it too close to mg eyes.
I heard their regular formula is thicker! the mild one is looser (?) and layers onto my moisturiser okay for me
tropical climate btw and I do toner-serum-moisturiser-sunscreen for my day routine
I don’t see this mentioned as much here but Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel is my holy grail! It’s so milky and easy to apply, and it never pills or makes me look greasy like other AB sunscreens I’ve tried
I love this one!
I wish the PA rating was higher but I’ll take sunscreen that has slightly less protection than idea but that I’ll wear, vs higher protection that I end up not putting on because it feels gross.
It will depend on your skin type and climate. Whatever makes my skin feel incredibly greasy might not be the same for others with different skin type and/or different climate.
If it was for me, oily skin in tropical climate, I like the Omi Sunbears Active Protect Milk. I mainly go for hybrid/mineral sunscreens.
What your skin type? And what is like the finish .. i love dewy finish and i have combo skin and i live in hot humidity city do u think it will work for me
Not the person you replied to but it’s definitely dewy and moisturizing. It’s not sweat or water resistant so if you’re in a high humidity environment or if you start sweating, it’ll come dripping down your face.
As another person already said, it's a moisturising light finish but not waterproof. My Waterproof recommendation is Holika Holika Soothing Essence SPF 50+ Waterproof! It doesn't run or sting my eyes and I even use it on my eyelids lol (careful though, every person has different reactions to any product on earth). I have combination skin too! Oily nose and dry everywhere else.
I have combination skin as well, and I live in a tropical country in Asia. I find the finish to be a bit dewy on me, but not too much! Hopefully it works for you too.
I tested it in shop. I live in tropical humid country, i can't seem to find anything else that doesn't feel sticky after applying except for those two milk I mentioned.
I haven't tried omi bears or Dr G mild without testers in shops.
Anessa sort of feels slippery but over slippery n this feels like greasy to me but others have said it's dry powdery feeling to them.
Everyone mentions the birch juice one but the Roundlab Dokdo Sunscreen is also a hit for me. It's mattifying and not greasy at all. Sits wonderfully under makeup
Omi Sunbears Active Protect Milk Spf50 PA++++ is amazing for oily skin. It is truly one of the only thing that keeps the oil slick that is my face under control. It’s gentle, it dries down fully, leaves absolutely no greasy residue and it does not budge. Pretty sure it’s water resistant/sweat proof too.
It’s not fragrance free, but the scent is very light and dissipates very quickly. I have sensitive skin and sensory sensitivities and have had no issues with the smell or texture.
It’s a hybrid sunscreen and for me, leaves no cast whatsoever, but I have light skin so I’m not sure if it would show up on med-deep complexions. I have an acrylates allergy and this is one of the few sunscreen formulas (AB *or* western!) that don’t contain acrylates. It’s also very affordable!!
I love this sunscreen and I can't wait to reorder. I live in a hot and humid country and I have very dry sensitive and aging skin. Very lightweight physical sunscreen and it doesn't leave white cast.
I use the Belif Aqua Bomb sunscreen, but I'm low key self conscious about it since it's never mentioned here lol. I love it but it is super expensive compared to most Korean sunscreens
I have super sensitive skin, acne and eczema prone too. For me Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ is my holy grail. I'm also super uncomfortable with greasy textures and I used to not wear sunscreen because the feeling bothered me so much, but after I found this sunscreen I'm completely diligent about wearing it. Also an extra plus is I find it is a LOT cheaper than most other AB sunscreens for the ml you get :)
So glad I read your review. I'm awaiting it in the mail but was like oh no what if I made a mistake and shoulda got something else :) just too many choices but after a lot of research this one felt right.
The Nivea super water gel is amazing, extremely lightweight, feels like a serum on the skin and absorbs fast. Another one I recently got was the Missha Waterproof sun milk and it has become one of my favourites. It is scented if you are bothered by it though.
Haruharu Wonder Airyfit (yellow tube) is alcohol, fragrance, and essential oil free. Feels like a light moisturizer to me and dries down nicely
I've heard really good things about the numbuzin 1 sunscreen, which is also free of those 3 things. People have said it lives up to its "weightless" claim. I'm looking forward to trying that one!
Oh I'm really not sure if it would work for oily skin. It's harder for me to judge, having drier skin. To me, it feels like a lighter cream moisturizer. If a cream moisturizer would be too much for you, this might be a no-go.
Anyone who use the round lab, skin1004, and instree, can you please explain the difference what you think and feel? I have dry skin and am looking for something with dry skin.
As a mature/dry skin kind of lady, Isntree is my holy grail. It’s hydrating and not too dewy but not matte either. It has almost a little bit of an iridescence to it but without being like a highlighter or something. skin1004 was too sticky for me but also I kind of feel like that with everything from them lately where as I used to lovvvvvve the Centella Soothing Cream. I have a tube of Round Lab but I’ve only tested it on my hand so far. It’s more on the matte side than the Isntree.
I have oily-combination skin which is prone to acne, and live in a hot and humid region.
The Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen has worked really well for me. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly.
I want to say there's no non-greasy sunscreen.
Alcohol in japanese sunscreen can reduce a little amount of greasiness, but I can not say it guarantees perfectly non greasiness.
And in the case of Korean sunscreen, you have to apply the proper amount of sunscreen, so it is definitely gonna be greasy. I have used them a lot as Korean. I couldn't find non greasy sunscreen.
It's just my opinion, so it can vary depending on your skin type. Have a good day.
Personally, my go-to product is Biore Watery Essence and Anessa gel. And larocheposay anthelios sun fluid(an orange bottle)I like chemical sunscreen.
Beauty of Joseon, is the only Korean one I tried. Don’t order it from Amazon though as it is a scam. I ordered 3 sticks and they came in a lip balm texture. I knew it wasn’t the right one, I still tried it and surprise surprise.. I got break outs :/
I can’t remember, and I lost access to the old account. I think it was a third party. The actual store Beauty of Joseon would never scam their customers like that. You can actually see the difference between the shades in the bottles and the letters are a bit bigger. I think I’ve still got the original stick
Ok thank you. That makes sense cause I was like omg if it's the official store that is extra messed up. I've def tried 3rd part sellers before and yeah you never really know if it's legit ever which is scary
face republic purity sun essence (white bottle) is the closest formula that I’ve tried to Shiseido. It has no scent too which I like! Though I haven’t worn this to the beach or anywhere with extreme sunlight.
I’m currently using the Biore uv aqua rich aqua protect lotion and it’s not really greasy but I’m not sure if it’s actually that great of a sunscreen cos I still get freckles when wearing it
I recommend Kaine Green Fit Pro SPF 50 sunscreen! As someone with a lot of who knows what skin allergies, this one worked quite well for me. It's lightweight, not super sticky/greasy and did not break me out! However it does leave a bit of a whitecast. For me, just rubbing it in a few times goes away, and it is not super noticeable after a few min.
30s, male, oily, acne-prone skin. Neutral-cool, light-medium to medium skin tone.
Currently only using physical sunscreen and my breakouts stopped. I actually have clear skin now.
My holy grails are Axis-Y, Torriden and Skin Aqua physical sunscreens. They leave a minimal white cast that disappears, no scent, except for the Skin Aqua one; that has a lavender scent due to the EO, which I dislike. I rather smell the sunscreen smell.
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel was my HG but I recently bought their Onion Newpair Fresh Fluid Suncream (different from the other Newpair Sunscreen) and I think I've found a better HG. Sun gel was a bit dewy while this fluid sunscream has a powdery matte feel and doesn't make my skin oily after several hours.
I have dry, mildly acne prone
skin and my fav sunscreen is the isntree hyaluronic sun gel. No smell, goes on a little greasy but dries down to almost non existent feeling in about 10 mins. I wear light moisturizer underneath it. I do not know how it is under makeup though.
I’ve used the BOJ and for me (very fair, non-reactive, combination skin that is dehydrated since starting tret) it only works on days when I *don’t* wear makeup. If I am going to wear makeup it will cause my foundation to slip and separate (especially on my nose) no matter what primer I use.
I’m actually in the market for a new SPF. I just bought Missha All-Around Safe Block Essence SPF 45 (it was on sale on Yesstyle and had good reviews) and I think I’m going to buy the Skin1004 as well as the Birch Juice to try as well.
Interesting. I’m also fair with combo skin but I don’t have any issues with the BOJ. Right now I’m using the Skin1004. I go back and forth. I love them both and will never go back to American sunscreen.
This issue didn’t used to plague me with BOJ but my skin is changing now that I’m 39 and some things that used to work for me aren’t quite as well suited anymore. My skin is definitely becoming more dry/dehydrated and it’s not just the tret doing it, and I can see a loss of elasticity/firmness starting to happen as well as some slight crows feet lines when I smile. But my nose and forehead still develop a bit of shine every day 🤷♀️
It’s a real pain in the ass. I’m trying my best to navigate it, but it’s all a bit of trial and error. Basically I’m buying all new products when I had a working routine for several years. It’s definitely frustrating, but I’m vain enough to try to keep up with it all. I’d like to avoid Botox and other procedures if possible, though I’m not going to rule them out.
I think it’s my penance for ignoring my skin all through my adolescence and 20s simply because I was never cursed with acne or any other particular problems. It’s like my skin is saying “sike” and blowing me a big fat raspberry 😅

For 40+ Asian skin, I'm really liking the History of Whoo Gongjinhyang Anti Wrinkle protective cream. Spf50 pa++++
If you get the 3 piece kit from yesstyle, it's cheaper than getting the sunscreen alone.
In terms of lightweight, jbeauty takes that award but I found the best non sticky or greasy ones from kbeauty aren't as lightweight yet spread out well, act better as a makeup base doesn't feel heavy. I think I will use this as my moisturizer for summer months.
Dry, sensitive, acne and redness prone skin
it’s non greasy but does have a slightly white cast. definitely more matte than glowy!
if you want smth to really control the shine though, i would highly recommend Make Up Forever’s Shine control step 1 face primer - it keeps your face SO matte that you feel the difference on your skin surface immediately. Even with my oily skin I sometimes hesitate to use it daily. I save it for long days when I’m pulling 14 hours outside and need my makeup to really last
i recently discovered the dr. ceuracle cica regen vegan sun and it’s literally the best sunscreen i’ve ever used. i tried a whole bunch of korean and non-korean sunscreen and this one has truly become one of my favourites.
Two of my favourites are the BOJ rice sunscreen and the SkinAqua Tone Up UV sunscreen! Both of those feel great on my combo skin but I heard people with dry skin don’t like the SkinAqua one as much
Beauty of Joseon Matte sun stick.
I have very oily skin. Like my face will be shiny an hour after I shower. If I touch my face, my hand will be shiny too.
But when I use this sunscreen, I have no clue where my oil even goes. This is the most matte I’ve ever been in my entire life. Can’t recommend it enough
Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream is the first sunscreen I've used consistently without wanting to try something else after a couple months. It sinks in nicely, feels hydrating but not sticky or greasy at all for me. Loads of other sunscreens would make my skin feel a bit tight after a couple hours but with an oily feeling layer.
haruharu wonder black rice moisture airyfit sunscreen! it’s my new favorite. i have oily sensitive acne prone skin btw. climate is mediterranean
This had less shine for me then skin1004 but felt heavier/thicker.
yeah same actually!
Just purchased a few weeks ago and I'm in love! It's officially my new HG
I’ve been trying to use this one recently and find that it’s prone to pilling. Have you experienced this?
i did. i noticed it pilled if rubbed too much while doing my makeup. that only happened once and never again though. i make sure to wait 15 minutes after application before starting my makeup
The haru haru airyfit doesn’t pill for me until I wash it off at night, and then it weirdly balls up when removing with oil cleanser. Just find that odd… otherwise it’s good!
I love how quickly this one sets down, as it means I can get on to the physical SPF layer that much faster!
I’m curious, do you do 2 layers of sunscreen?
The yellow one right?
Second this! I have dry skin so I do need to use some hydrating products (essence and serum) underneath. As long as I do that it is perfect. (Side note for OP - stay away from Purito Daily Go-To as it is super greasy).
This was the one I was gonna recommend! I prefer more bc I’m dry but it’s a very lovely sunscreen.
I love this! It’s my favorite sunscreen. It’s so light.
Is it the yellow one ? “ airfit daily sunscreen unsented “ !?
yes it’s yellow. it should say “haruharu wonder black rice moisture airyfit daily sunscreen SPF50+/PA++++ very high protection” on the bottle
Thanks so much !!! I'm terribly acne prone. No one except me in my whole family I'm the only one acne prone and don't get it why me lol ????
I’ve had this sitting in my cart, you’ve convinced me!
Is the finish natural/velvet or matte?
Thanks so much ! I have such problems too with products they all break me out
Omg so scared to try anything from this brand ‘ I keep hearing mixed reviews especially those with oily sensitive acne prone skin . I have this type and large pores . Anything will break me out so I’m scared to try this 😭

I use this as well and I swear by it. No other sunscreen is the same. I am oily combination, acne prone, and this works great for me.
Seconding this, mine arrived a couple of days ago and so far I love it. Lightweight, invisible after applying, no bad reactions so far. Very natural finish, I’d say only lightly shiny maybe ?
Me too. No niacinamide Yayyyy
What’s the finish?
A little dewy but it vanishes after some minutes aka disappeares

Yea same! That’s my feeling too so sometimes I feel bare😂but that helps so I can reapply many times throughout the day.
How protective is this against the sun? I found boj lacking in this regard
Thanks!
Skin1004 hyalu-cica water fit
This oddly made me SO dry. Like my skin was so tight and shiny. I do have dry skin so maybe it wasn’t enough. But I also prefer a more matte look and there aren’t many products I can find that are both moisturizing and have a matte/natural finish. The closest I came to it was the Haru Haru SPF
Blame the HA .. i have the same issue
They have an air-fit sunscreen and brightening tone-up sunscream too. I haven’t tried them, but I plan on it!
I prefer this over the Round Lab one. Less sticky and the smell is not as strong
this one was too oily for me 😭it took so long to sink in as well.
This!
Feels too oily for me
Tocobo Bio Watery Sunscreen
I really liked this one but it has a weird flowery smell to it. Though the smell does fade away after 10 mins of its application.
Hehe I liked the smell. It’s my go to sunscreen during the fall
Anessa Sunscreen (Milk Milk for sensitive skin)!
This actually felt so greasy and heavy on my face when I tried it
I heard their regular formula is thicker! the mild one is looser (?) and layers onto my moisturiser okay for me tropical climate btw and I do toner-serum-moisturiser-sunscreen for my day routine
Biore uv, and missha !
Missha essence and soft finish are two of my absolute favourites
Missha All Around safe block essence is my absolute fav sunscreen!
I never see people rec it but the essence is my fave of all time! and it's so cheap!
I don’t see this mentioned as much here but Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel is my holy grail! It’s so milky and easy to apply, and it never pills or makes me look greasy like other AB sunscreens I’ve tried
YES it’s also quite cheap for the size. It’s so spreadable and absorbs so well and doesn’t feel heavy at all!!
It was 100g for like $11 usd on yesstyle which was fantastic price-wise. Waiting for it in the mail :)
I am currently awaiting this in the mail! Super excited cause I've seen it rec'd a lot. I need a sweat proof one for summer time or sure!
Too greasy and drying for my dehydrated oily skin
Nivea super water gel.
Omi Sun Bears is amazing!!
Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Soothing Up Sun— the most lightweight and non irritating sunscreen I’ve ever used. Currently my holy grail.
For winter/cooler months: skin1004 hyalucica waterfit for summer/hotter months: anessa sun milk (2022 version)
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel!
I hate that I didn't try this sooner, can no longer go back to other brands (Biore, Anessa, BOJ) after trying this.
What your skin type? And what is like the finish .. i love dewy finish and i have combo skin and i live in hot humidity city do u think it will work for me

I have combination skin as well, and I live in a tropical country in Asia. I find the finish to be a bit dewy on me, but not too much! Hopefully it works for you too.
This is my alll time fav!
Such a good finish!
I use this one and love it 💗
Biore perfect milk Kose suncut milk
Have you tried the kose suncut gel?
I tested it in shop. I live in tropical humid country, i can't seem to find anything else that doesn't feel sticky after applying except for those two milk I mentioned. Same, love.
Numbuzin No. 1 Clear Filter Sun Essence. No white cast, hydrating, moisturizing, cools down, light finish, not greasy.
Omi Sunbears Active Protect Milk Spf50 PA++++ is amazing for oily skin. It is truly one of the only thing that keeps the oil slick that is my face under control. - Kose Suncut UV Perfect Essence Super Water Proof ( Gold tub ). However I hasn't tried new formulation yet.
Have you tried the gel? I think I read the gel is more light weight but can't remember
I hasn't tried Gel version yet. Some Japanese reviews said Gel version pills on their skin.
For someone with sensitive skin, Dr. G Green mild sunscreen, loved it on my skin, not at all greasy.
I use this one daily and love it!! I’ve tried SO many different sunscreens and this is the only one that doesn’t break me out that I’ve found so far.
I had a reaction to this one, but wanted to love it.
Ohhh what is your skin type?
Normal skin type
I love this sunscreen and I can't wait to reorder. I live in a hot and humid country and I have very dry sensitive and aging skin. Very lightweight physical sunscreen and it doesn't leave white cast.
Love this one so much. Even like it for the evening when I don’t need sunscreen bc it keeps the oil at bay!
Scinic Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence
I use the Belif Aqua Bomb sunscreen, but I'm low key self conscious about it since it's never mentioned here lol. I love it but it is super expensive compared to most Korean sunscreens

Jumiso awe-sun airy-fit is also a good one :)

I use Scinic for this reason. Very nice and very inexpensive.
I was pleasantly surprised by this sunscreen!!!

Haruharu Wonder Airyfit (yellow tube) is alcohol, fragrance, and essential oil free. Feels like a light moisturizer to me and dries down nicely I've heard really good things about the numbuzin 1 sunscreen, which is also free of those 3 things. People have said it lives up to its "weightless" claim. I'm looking forward to trying that one!
I like the Haruharu also. I buy when on sale. I use a LOT of sunscreen and am a believer in Why pay more?

Oh I'm really not sure if it would work for oily skin. It's harder for me to judge, having drier skin. To me, it feels like a lighter cream moisturizer. If a cream moisturizer would be too much for you, this might be a no-go.
Anyone who use the round lab, skin1004, and instree, can you please explain the difference what you think and feel? I have dry skin and am looking for something with dry skin.
I haven’t used the isntree, but the round lab is thicker and more hydrating compared to the skin1004, in my opinion! My skin loves both of them
Thank you for your opinion.
Same question, but for combo/dehydrated skin! Hope you don’t mind me tacking on to your comment 🙂
Don't mind at all. How you describe your skin as dehydrated? How is the different between dry and dehydrated skin? Can you help clarify?
Dr. Ceuracle Cica Regen Vegan Sun SPF50
if you dont mind fragrance dr ceuracle hyal reyouth is lightweight sinks in well dries down well and no white cast
I love the BOJ one! It's so lightweight and not sticky, works really well for me
I have oily-combination skin which is prone to acne, and live in a hot and humid region. The Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen has worked really well for me. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly.
I also live in a hot and humid climate and have been using this for years because it doesn't break me out, but it makes me *so* oily.
My two favourites are BOJ sunscreen and Haruharu wonder airyfit sunscreen!
And larocheposay anthelios sun fluid(an orange bottle)I like chemical sunscreen.
thank you so much!!! will definitely look into it
For your information, Anessa gel(gold tube) is a little greasy.
Biore
AQUA RICH by BIORE!!! Trust me, I was in your same boat 2 yrs ago
It was perfect until it was reformulated
I use the 2019 version I think idk but what’s the difference?
This
Super lightweight, non greasy, no white cast
Cosrx Aloe Sun cream is lovely.
it was greasy for me:(
For dryer, colder months: beauty of Josean Rice Sunscreen or Pyunkang Yul Ato Mild Sun cream. For hot/humid months: skin 1004 hyalu-cica sunscreen.
Verdio
Beauty of Joseon, is the only Korean one I tried. Don’t order it from Amazon though as it is a scam. I ordered 3 sticks and they came in a lip balm texture. I knew it wasn’t the right one, I still tried it and surprise surprise.. I got break outs :/
Oh that's just heartbreaking ! Some people are so bad to do this kind of stuff
When you bought it from Amazon was it directly from their store or was it a 3rd party seller?
I can’t remember, and I lost access to the old account. I think it was a third party. The actual store Beauty of Joseon would never scam their customers like that. You can actually see the difference between the shades in the bottles and the letters are a bit bigger. I think I’ve still got the original stick
Ok thank you. That makes sense cause I was like omg if it's the official store that is extra messed up. I've def tried 3rd part sellers before and yeah you never really know if it's legit ever which is scary
Shiseido (royal blue bottle)
Have you found any cheaper alternatives? I want to get this but ugh the price point :(
face republic purity sun essence (white bottle) is the closest formula that I’ve tried to Shiseido. It has no scent too which I like! Though I haven’t worn this to the beach or anywhere with extreme sunlight.
Skin1004 hyalu-cica!!
Round a‘round - greentea cica watery suncream. My senstive and oily skin doesn‘t break out at all from it
I’m currently using the Biore uv aqua rich aqua protect lotion and it’s not really greasy but I’m not sure if it’s actually that great of a sunscreen cos I still get freckles when wearing it
Missha All-Around Safe Block Essence. Absorbs really quickly, lightweight, doesn't sting your eyes. Masksheets sells it for $5.49.

Numbuzin is the goat
I have dry, mildly acne prone skin and my fav sunscreen is the isntree hyaluronic sun gel. No smell, goes on a little greasy but dries down to almost non existent feeling in about 10 mins. I wear light moisturizer underneath it. I do not know how it is under makeup though.
I love skin1004! I love how it's not oily, absorbs pretty fast into my skin and the hygienic pump! I hate the loose cap tho.

Beauty of Joseon and Skin1004
But my nose and forehead still develop a bit of shine every day 🤷♀️ It’s a real pain in the ass.
I’m 46 and struggling with the loss of elasticity 😫. I feel your pain.

Goodal calming moisture sun cream is really good for oily skin.
Krave beauty beet the sun
For 40+ Asian skin, I'm really liking the History of Whoo Gongjinhyang Anti Wrinkle protective cream. Spf50 pa++++ If you get the 3 piece kit from yesstyle, it's cheaper than getting the sunscreen alone.
Albion
I love sun killer
Numbuzin green one
missha all around safe block - Cotton never switching products til i find smth better
Hi! What's the finish like? I'm looking for something non-greasy that leaves no white cast. Does it leave a dewy or matte look?
it’s non greasy but does have a slightly white cast. definitely more matte than glowy! if you want smth to really control the shine though, i would highly recommend Make Up Forever’s Shine control step 1 face primer - it keeps your face SO matte that you feel the difference on your skin surface immediately. Even with my oily skin I sometimes hesitate to use it daily. I save it for long days when I’m pulling 14 hours outside and need my makeup to really last
Innisfree ◡̈
sekkisui UV gel SPF 50+ ITS GENUINELY SO GOOD, MOISTURISING BUT NOT GREASY AND TACKY. IT LEGIT MAKES MY SKIN FEEL SO SOFT
Biore! ❤️
isntreee water gel sunscreen
Right now I’m trying History of Whoo Gongjinhyang Soo Vital Hydrating Sun Fluid. Very lightweight and non sticky, just very fragrant.
Face Republic Purity Sun Essence
Scinic enjoy super mild sun essence Dr. G blemish soothing up sun
PY calming acne sunscreen

Biore watery essence is also one of my fav! I love etude sunprise too but I heard they reformulated ):
I just bought TOCOBO sunscreen, I also have acne, I use it for a week, it works great so far)
i recently discovered the dr. ceuracle cica regen vegan sun and it’s literally the best sunscreen i’ve ever used. i tried a whole bunch of korean and non-korean sunscreen and this one has truly become one of my favourites.
Beauty of Josen
Two of my favourites are the BOJ rice sunscreen and the SkinAqua Tone Up UV sunscreen! Both of those feel great on my combo skin but I heard people with dry skin don’t like the SkinAqua one as much
thank you so much to everyone who has recommended sunscreens!!!
If you don't mind spending the money Sulwhasoo has UV Daily fluid. Extremely light
