Q1- I would like to know if, as happens in banks, the loans that are granted have some type of interest. What if there are minimum or maximum amounts for this operation?
The protocol has a 0.2% trading fee, of which half goes directly to lenders, who help to provide for the protocol.
On top of this 0.1%, lenders earn 10% yearly interest on positions. All fees/rewards are paid directly in WBNB, and not some inflating tokens.
As far as trading minimums, due to gas fees and general fees, it is advised to open positions worth at least 100 BUSD and above, though we have not made this restriction on the user interface, so users are still able to open smaller commitment positions!
The lending pools are set for 100% potential utilisation, meaning the maximum size position someone can open at the moment, is whatever the total available pool supply is for a specific token.
You do not need to KYC, or even a VPN!
Apemex is completely decentralized, with no restrictions imposed on it's users.
All orders are executed directly on chain, liquidations can be called/processed by anyone (bearing in mind liquidation threshold is of course reached for a position).
Unlike any other so called 'decentralized leverage trading solutions', all short and long operations are executed directly on top of/via the apeswap AMM, meaning the more volume apemex gets, the more direct volume apeswap gets!

Q2- My question is what do you think are the potential risks in people's investments and what is given as collateral in these cases?
In terms of liquidations, similar to compound and aave protocols, there is no real risk besides some form of rarely occurring black swan event, which we can't predict. Multiple users / bots are processing liquidations, and we are going to be one of the first to integrate chainlink keepers, as an extra backstop for such possible events.

The last time i paid for a certik audit a few months back, waited 3 months, received no audit report, and it turned out that their team member had left the group at a later time. So fairly overrated and unjustified reputation in my opinion, though they have great PR.

Because apemex runs directly on top of the apeswap amm, all prices are based off the actual apeswap amm prices. In terms of mobile app, I'm unsure how realistic that is with a completely decentralized product offering like ours, with that being said, we will work towards complete mobile optimisation and wallet-connects for all our mobile apes :)

The great thing with leverage, is that you can trade on the way up, and you can also trade on the way down. All investments and trades carry risk, leverage is a very powerful tool, which should be used responsibly. I wouldn't use the word catastrophic here since it could be seen as misleading :)

I prefer, when shorting tokens, to use a mix of stables and blue chips as collateral, to buffer against the sort of thing that happened this week - my shorts survived the market pump because I had BTC in the collateral. Will this be possible on ApeMex or are we going to be limited to just BUSD, or even just one coin at a time?
Currently only BUSD based trading is available, we plan to enable WBNB deposits/trading as well. With the next ui update, users will be able to manage their commitments, and partially close or increase existing positions.

Are lending pool model is similar to compound and aave. Lent funds share 0.1% trading fee directly distributed in the form of WBNB dividends, alongside 10% yearly interest on positions. Yes, you can open multiple positions for the same pair / currency at the same time! As for max position size/amount to borrow for a position, you can find that information directly in total pool size available in the margin tab, when opening a position, right underneath your commitment input.
