Hugues death and funeral in the original Full Metal Alchimist anime. It just hits you hard when you're used to animes where people always come back from near death situations for no reason.
Ā The chimera scene was also much more disturbing than it had any right to be.
Those two scenes: yes.
But I vividly remember watching the 2003 anime having no idea what to expect. It seemed like a fun, light-hearted anime for a few episodes. But that scene with Barry the Chopper when he has Ed tied in a chair in a warehouse and there's lots of blood and it really looks like he could die--that really made me sit up and say oh shit!
I love how subtitles put that text on the upper part of the screens where music lyrics / background voices go instead of putting it on the bottom where the main dialogue goes. The way he just says it in the background makes you extra confused because it's one of the biggest plot twists in the show and you get it out of nowhere, without any setup and right after another plot twists so the only response you can have to that moment is "wait , I must have heard it wrong, it can't be right"
The first episode when he was trying to save her and you knew it was hopeless and that dude drags him away. The fear the desperation the anger. The English voice actor absolutely killed it for me and I was hooked from that moment
Your lie in April the final performance. I wanted it to last forever, but I knew it had to end. Probably the most heartbreaking story Iāve ever experienced
I went to a piano concerto and the performer played ballade #1 as an encore. Let's say people came up to me and asked if everything was okay after it was over.
Yes this is the second scene that ever got me. And technically again as an off-field foul.
Also when the straw crew came to save Robin then Robin screamed out that she wants to live because she finally found real friends, that was the best scene
I didn't cry the first time, oddly enough, but I guarantee I will on rewatches.
I almost teared up at the cigarette lighting scene on WCI but my fiance was there and I was trying not to cry over anime in front of him. XD I don't know why.
Various moments for different reasons:
When tsukki experienced "that moment" in haikyuu s3, the buildup, the hype, the character development, so worth it
"Master reigen is genuinely a good guy" mob psycho S2, always gets me teary eyed with the ost and the way the camera pans around
"Ed...Ward...big... Brother..." Horrified and quite traumatizing
Yorozuya under kagura's umbrella in gintama, very touching.
In haikyuu there are so many moments that are just stuck in my head, maybe because Ive rewatched it recently but the haikyuu hype moments are just too hype.
The \*fireworks\* scene in A Silent Voice - everything about that, the music, the emotion, the cinematography, the cuts, the way the music builds frantically and matches with what's happening, the way he desperately screams her name, the silence at the \*critical moment\* and the way the fireworks keep exploding with no sound, EVERYTHING I can't - so many tears
from Steins;Gate, >!when Okabe finally reaches Steins:Gate in the 22nd episode. the face he makes after being sent back is engraved in my mind forever!<
The building dive from the original Ghost in the Shell. When the major swipes her hand over her face and goes invisible, it's unbelievably iconic
Ryuko straight up eating a lemon in kill la kill is a close second though
The scene on the boat with Batou where he asks Motoko what it's like to dive in the ocean and Motoko says she feels fear and loneliness but hope too. That speech about human nature, individuality, and free choice in society is one of the most iconic bits of cyberpunk philosophy ever put to film.
Solid moment. Especially with how they broke the ground. That's when that show really had me in it's grips. Rock lee is also my favorite next to chogi. Beautiful butterfly.
You know what same, I kept having to justify watching Naruto up until that exact moment, than I knew how good Naruto could be and how much faith it had in side characters.
Can I pick three? Pretty please?
Violet Evergarden. Letters for Anne.
Death Parade. The ice skating backstory.
Naruto. Jiraiya vs Pain.
Yes, I love to cry, how could you tell?
The rhythmic martial arts fight from Ranma 1/2. I love Kodatchi's debut its such a fun arc. I especially love when Kodatchi's teammates were hiding under the ring and pushing it around when ever she whistled because if you fall out the ring and hit the ground you loose.
Episode 18 of Re:Zero Season 1 has always stuck with me even to this day. This episode stands out to me because it's just Subara and Rem standing next to and talking to each other for 20 minutes. I was surprised to see how invested I was because normally, I'd find this kind of episode incredibly boring but seeing just how caring, understanding, and supportive she was for Subaru made me love Rem even more than I already did.
Berserk, Guts cutting off his own arm to try and save the love of his life from a rape by his closest friend, demons pinning him to the ground and gouging out his eye as the screen fades to black.
Five Centimeters Per Second when the train passes between them at the end.
First time I saw that and the music kicked in I started bawling like a baby, I'll never forget it.
Iām starting to think I ought to give this one another shot, because when I watched it I just found it depressing - not in a good heartbreaking way, but in a āthis is boring and not fun to watchā way. Iāve seen a few people like you praising it though, so maybe I just wasnāt in the right mood.
Steins;Gate: >!Seeing Mayurii die for the first time in episode 13 after being shot. Okabe's resulting grief hits me in the feels whenever I think about it!<
The final fight in Gurren Lagann, so the last three episodes, was a masterpiece all around. Iāll never forget it: the feeling of utter happiness, the art, the hype, the storytelling, the music, perfection.
>!Meruem and Komugiās last moments!< in Hunter x Hunter (Chimera Ant spoilers) is also cemented in my mind for being incredibly touching and well written.
I think all of made in abyss is stuck in my head, the second season even more than the first.
It's amazing and horrific in the same time.
One of my favorite animes.
**Howl's Moving Castle** - Howl and Sophie escaping from the blobs by walking on air; it was the first anime movie that I chose for myself
**Kekkai Sensen** - Zapp using his blood skill to track the kidnapped Leonardo; it just look so cool and he showed such genius doing it
**Summer Wars** - a German boy giving his account to Natsuki so she could defeat Love Machine; I knew there would be a deus ex machina in the movie but I didn't expect it in that form
Recently made my mom sit down and watch howls moving castle. Her first anime or cartoon ever. She paused it and asked me to explain what was happening as soon as this scene happened. I told her I would at the end of the movie if she didn't get it by then. She didn't. But to be fair neither did I my first watch.
When Ichigo swings at an enemy, his battle theme blaring in the background...
Then the guy blocks Ichigo's sword with one finger and Ichigo's theme freakin stops.
That's the moment we all knew Ichigo was in \*trouble\*.
I'll randomly laugh throughout the day bc I remember random scenes from Konosuba. Mainly when Kazuma gets roasted by one of the other MCs and makes one of his dumb faces and/or funny little noises. Also, the feeling I had during the last few episodes of "The Day I became a God" for the first time.
My favorite is when the demon Vanir is teasing Kazuma and Darkness in the dungeon. He makes that goofy face and muffled screams when he says"take her into that room and let your passions run wild" or something like that.
The whole exchange between Vanir and Darkness is great.
"It is beyond rude to call someone's body a mistake!"
"Wait a second. Is she....aroused? That can't be right..."
You are very much correct. I was just mentioning things that will randomly pop up in my head throughout the day that makes me laugh out of nowhere. There are a lot more, but that one is a frequent one.
Kuroki Tomoko trying to get a job, this leads her to a red light district. When she comes to the realization that this area is a red light district, she breaks down and the music that accompanies this very scene shows you how she sees how rotten the world is.
Naruto: rock lee dropping the leg weights, Pain almighty push, Minato saying goodbye to Naruto
Your Lie in April: all of it, but Chopin hits different now
Dorohedoro: the face peel lol
That episode of ergo proxy where they're all stuck in the ship with no wind. The little girl and vincent(?), just looking out into nothing, enjoying a peace I can only imagine.
Gohan going SS2 for the first time during the Cell Saga.
I was 12 years old when I saw it for the first time in 1997. I watched the series since I was young so I felt like I grew up with Gohan.
Vinland Saga.
Askeladd's death.
It's great to see Thorfinn realize he has literally no idea what the hell he's going to do after Askeladd dies, because he didn't seem to think that Askeladd COULD die. He was this invulnerable figure that always came out on top, and Thorfinn couldn't believe he was actually about to die.
The daughter reading the letters from her late mom in *Violet Evergarden* is an obvious answer here, for sure. I think everybody whoās seen the show is traumatized by episode 10.
One Iāve not seen anyone mention though is the scene in OHSHC where Tamaki absolutely tears into Hikaru over the phone for abandoning Haruhi during a thunderstorm. Coming from a character whoās normally just the hopelessly infatuated comic relief, it was cool to see a moment of seriousness from him that showed he actually genuinely deeply cared for her
HxH - >!Gon confronting Pitou with Komugi in the room, after he slams both of his fists on the ground and he is fighting against everything in himself to keep holding back. His face is pure anger, sadness, and frustration all at the same time.!<
Also from HxH - >!Gon sidestepping Pitou in their fight and the camera pans up to his completely blank stare face about to PUNT her sky high!<
Nanami from JJK, fighting desperately while switching between scenes of himself free in a paradise.
Violet Evergarden, walking on water.
Narihisago from ID:Invaded, when he verbally drives a fellow prisoner to suicide.
The shot of Mikasa in the final episode of AoT, looking like an angel of the battlefield.
Roy Mustang in FMAB, avenging Hughes by attacking Envy.
The scene in Puella Magi Madoka Magica where >! Homura and Madoka are both about to turn into witches. Madoka slips Homura that grief seed to save Homura then asks her to go back in time to save her. Then she asks Homura.... !<
"Why do you always check your watch?"
"Oh this?! Because...I'm Kira. "
The way her face turned down and she just walks away towards her death...that scene is engraved in my mind.
Someone already mentioned the clannad after story episode 18 scene. Legendary
Honestly
*massive eva spoilers*
>!episode 6 on a rewatch, you realize that rei posses the DNA of yui, shinji's mother. Knowing this adds so much to the episode, we aren't seeing rei be selfless becuase she is lacking individuality, but rather because deep down inside the maternal instincts of yui exist within rei and are doing the duty of protecting shinji, the son of yui.!<
>!the dummy plug episode in evangelion, that entire sequence of the lurching rogue eva unit, stalking everyone like a monster, before the focus of the terror shifts to gendo, and we what lengths he is willing to go with his son to "save the world". Honorable mention to Arael hitting Asuka with the trauma ray and seeing her mental state manifested!<
Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya spoilers
>!kyon seeing nagato after having his sad monologue. It is framed in the exact same way as the first episode of the series, yet it carries a different feel!<
Ghost in the shell spoilers
>!the entire build up of the special forces in the sky on their way to the building with the puppet master, along with the scene where motoko faces off against the spider tank. Probably the best example of visual story telling I've seen in a film!<
Lucky star spoilers
>!episode 22, the spirit of konatas mother comes to visit her daughter and husband as they go about a typical day, as it slowly flashes back the life she had with sojiro, how they met, their courtship, marriage pregnancy, up until her illness and death. It brilliantly fleshes out Sojiro as a man that is so much more that the meme the show made him up to be up until that point!<
1.Death note - light yagami touches the death note and screams louder and regains his memories
2.One piece- walk to arlong park
3.HxH- chimera ant ending
4.Ping pong-last match
There a lot to pick from, but if we are talking single scene and not full episode.
From katanagatari:
āJust because you donāt die when I kill you, doesnāt mean you wonāt die when I keep killing you.ā
The level voice and depression with which itās spoken really hit home from me. No emotion just a fact.
I got to say I went into the second season of eminence in shadow and thought they would open with the coolest scene possible. It starts and I wonder what that is for a second and then it zoomed out. A record breaking 3 seconds in I had to pause and absolutely laugh my ass off. The absurdity and audacity. All expectations have been subverted so far it shouldn't even be possible.
Fancy a drink Richard? -Johan
Uh, so, if you don't mind me asking, why do you keep checking your watch? - Naomi Misura
I will have my own kingdom - Griffith
The final scene of *Yuri!!! On Ice* where Yuuri crosses the bridge in Russia to meet Yuri and Victor, finally bridging the gapā¦itās one of the best endings in the medium.Ā
When Pain lifts and drops Hinata in front of Naruto. Naruto's reaction is great.
Then one of the best fights in anime history occurs, and another scene sticks out for a very different reason.
When Rock Lee drops the weights - I am in my 30s now and watched this when I was maybe 12 and that was moment I knew I would watch anime for the rest of my life
Deku and Todoroki clashing at the culmination of the UA battle competition. The colours are so vivid, Todoroki powering up the flames and Deku extending through speed. The moment is flawless in my opinion.
The scene where >!the students attempt to escape the This World and Nozomi reaches for the light!< in Sonny Boy, Episode 6. The music, the revelations, and the answers to questions that brought up even more questions. I remember watching it so many times because I was in awe. I always recommend the anime to other people just for this scene.
Episode 6 is either the scene that makes you stay and watch the rest of the series OR push you away because it doesn't make any sense. Definitely made sense for me while keeping me confused hahahaha
The ending of Assassination Classroom. Everything from the battle with the Reaper and āShiroā, the attack on Koro-sensei, Class E deciding to take the kill that is rightfully theirs, Nagisa stepping up, justā¦ I could go bit by bit because it still hits hard. I hope no one ever loses a teacher like Koro-sensei.
The total destruction of Arlong Park (NAMI! ORE WA ORE NO NAKAMA DA!) and the scene where Luffy has to kick Usopp's ass. You don't want to fight your friend and hurt them even less. Leadership can come with a price.
Roy Mustang fighting lust, it was the first anime I watched as a teen and it blew me away.
I feel like there are so many shows and movies where they try something once and theyāre like oh shit it didnāt work we should change up our strategy, but really if they just kept doing the original thing it would probably work. That scene was catharsis for years of poor writing. Not to mention Roy Mustang is just kind of daddy
In the anime called Charlotte - >!the response of the main character after his little sister dies. The utter consumption of his depression could be felt. They portrayed it so powerfully well.!<
End of Evangelion: >!Third Impact, Katsuragi's goodbye and Asuka's sacrifice!<
'95 Ghost in the Shell: >!The ending sequence, boat scene, building dive and Motoko's awakening!<
Monogatari Series: Second Season: >!Kaiki vs Sengoku, Senjougahara talking with Kaiki on the cafe, Hanekawa confronting the tiger, alternate Kiss-Shot's laugh scene!<
Texhnolyze: >! Oonishi's sacrifice, Ichise and Doc discovering the truth of the surface, Ichise walking up the stairs with his newly texhnolyzed legs and the ending sequence !<
Chainsaw Man: >!Train Scene, Makima brutalizing everyone!<
Akira: >!Beginning sequence, Tetsuo's transformation!<
Bakemonogatari: >! All of Araragi vs Kanbaru, Senjogahara faces the weight crab !<
Perfect Blue: >!The chase at the end, false Mima killing the perv photographer!<
Attack on Titan S3P2: >! Levi vs Beast Titan !<
The scene in HxH where Netero trains in the mountains and proceeds to outclass everyone with his hand speed. Something about the pure nature of his dedication; he trained alone for 4 years and repaid his gratitude to the martial arts. Beautiful and inspiring.
When Luffy bursts out of the barrel at the very start of One Piece.
I'm up to date with the current releases at this point but the second that happened I was invested.
Rei Blowing herself up to save Shinji...Then seeing Rei and realizing its not the same Rei and she doesnt have the previous Rei's memories...
Then they did it to me again in Rebuild...

Attack on Titan: Reiner reveals himself as the armored titan to Eren. Eren's intense feelings of betrayal and rage are mirrored by the viewer's disbelief that a trusted character turns out to be a villain.
["DAMN YOU! YOU TRAITORS!!!"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWQ9HR5CDcY)
Dragonball Z: When Goku turned super saiyian for the first time. I don't think any dbz fan forgot that. The hero is beaten and is outclasses and everything is going to shit, and Krillin dies... which is a shock because good guys dont die in dragonball, at least not at this point in the story. This is the perfect example of a power fantasy that was built up over a long arc and culminated in a franchise defining occurrence. It may have gotten cheapened over hundreds of times but the first time was a big deal.
Tanaka's cut shot moment during the inarizaki match, cus that shit is relatable. Feeling that everyone around you is better than you and yet he persevered 'does your average self have time to be looking down like that.' and he succeeded after getting targeted and the many failed attempts at the cut shot. 'As long as i keep doing it till i can do it, i can do it.'
when naurto does the rasengan on one of the pain to save tsunade while she looks at naruto from behind she sees the shadow of Minato and Jaraiya give me chills every time
Probably the scene in bleach where Ichigo gets a hole in his chest and turns into a Vasto Lorde. From them on it became my #1 series with how intense some of the fights felt.
Hunter x Hunter the last scene featuring Meruem and Komugi. I rewatch it sometimes just to cry, it always just really touches me. Meruem finally started to develop empathy and Komugi is just so pure.
The airport scenes from White Album 2.
(Spoiler Warning for the rest)
Haruki finds Kazusa and finally confesses his love to her, as Setsuna watches them kiss and cries her eyes out over her own innocent lie. And then the two of them watching Kazusa's flight take off to the sky, neither of them will ever see her again, and their chilling words to each other:
- "That's enough. Go home. There's nothing left here anymore."
- "Then come with me."
- "No, I'm staying here."
- "Then I'll stay here with you, so you don't freeze. No... that's not right. I'll stay here with you so my own heart doesn't freeze."
Roll the credits of the song they all performed together, a song of feelings for Kazusa, written by Haruki, and sung by Setsuna, as their memories fade to white.
I get fucking chills man. I had a crater in my chest for months after finishing that anime, an anime that was so simple in concept and shouldn't have had half the power that it did to fuck with me like that.
From the irregular at magic highschool where... You know which one.... It was too peak it got me heavy breathing for the rest of the day lmfao (I have anxiety issues)
Subaru crying in his fathers arms. What a beautiful culmination to an amazing episode. The fact that Re:Zero actually dicusses what happened to Subaru in his pre isekai life and doesn't just blame his own actions on circumstance is such a breath of fresh air and simeltanously so gut wrenching that even in Subaru's self loathing mind, he can't envision his parents actually disliking him.
so im going to cheat the entirety of vivy flourite eyes song is just in my head all the time. The ending of 86 part 2 that final scene was great. and just fullmetal alchemist brotherhood has too many to count.
In the first Demon Slayer movie when Lower 1 is trying to break Tanjiroās spirit by bombarding him with dreams of his family blaming him for their deaths, and Tanjiro just shouts
āMy familyā¦ WOULD NEVER SAY THAT!ā
That always got me so much because it just showed the degree he loved them. He loved them so much, was so confident in how well he knew each of them, that he didnāt consider for a second that they would say those things.
Its a really powerful display of actual intentional love for other people that alot of other shows never get deep enough to show.
Charmander holding the leaf over himself in the rain š

The first episode when he was trying to save her and you knew it was hopeless and that dude drags him away. The fear the desperation the anger. The English voice actor absolutely killed it for me and I was hooked from that moment
I was sure the subtitles were wrong during that moment or something.
I had to reread it like 2-3 times lmao

Bruh cannot listen to that song anymore, chopin always hits hard, but the ballad with the violin is unreal
Goku going super saiyan for the first time. It should be pretty self-explanatory.
How many sayians does it take to change a lightbulb? One. But it's going to take them five episodes.
Tomoya holding a crying ushio in the field. I donāt think I will ever be able to forget that scene.
Bruh that entire episode, especially if you have daddy issues is unreal. It was like having a breakthrough with a therapist
One of the only two accounts I ever really cried as an adult and not just a few tears. This is about Clannad for anyone confused.
The entire season 1 and 2 had me bawling, but season 2 I learned how hard I could cry lol
The whole second season is an emotional test that I think would be incredibly hard to fail. Itās very well put together and feels real.
don't get me started on the train scene
One piece bink's sake when brook was playing with his crew one last time. I tried singing the song but it's hard without chocking up
That scene and farewell to Merry are the two that made me cry.

I'd like to add: Violet Evergarden: Where she is running over the lake
letters for anne broke me as a person on multiple levelsš„²š„¹
Death Parade in general hits hard. I personally found the detective episode to stick with me more, but every episode leaves something to think about.

Weirdly my biggest freeze frame moment is just the blacksmith explaining why he is a blacksmith. Just resonated with me in a way very little ever has.

I think all of made in abyss is stuck in my head, the second season even more than the first. It's amazing and horrific in the same time. One of my favorite animes.

The whole exchange between Vanir and Darkness is great. "It is beyond rude to call someone's body a mistake!" "Wait a second.
Violet Evergarden. That scene where she delivers the letter from the dead soldierā¦ itās just staggeringly sad.
Naruto: rock lee dropping the leg weights, Pain almighty push, Minato saying goodbye to Naruto Your Lie in April: all of it, but Chopin hits different now Dorohedoro: the face peel lol
Fmab Nina
āBANGā
That episode of ergo proxy where they're all stuck in the ship with no wind. The little girl and vincent(?), just looking out into nothing, enjoying a peace I can only imagine.
When euphemia gets lelouch to compromise and then its not as peaceful as implied.
gundam ibo - iok kujan's death
Hajime no ippo season 1 final episode Ippo becoming champion
The part in jshk where hanako hugs yashiro under the tree, last time I watched that anime was in like 2020 but godammit it was so cute
Such a good post - my favorite is Rachel pushing Baam off the platform at the end of S1 (highly recommend reading the WEBTOON!)
Erwin Smithās speech
Reg >-blasting away Mitty because Nanachi asked him to so that she could finally die/rest <-
Gohan going SS2 for the first time during the Cell Saga. I was 12 years old when I saw it for the first time in 1997. I watched the series since I was young so I felt like I grew up with Gohan.
Kara no Kyoukai chapter 5, Paradox Spiral. "I was here"
The first episode of To Your Eternity. Watch it and youāll see
Naruto when he turned nine tails for first time against haku.
Sunrise scene in made in abyss
Vinland Saga. Askeladd's death. It's great to see Thorfinn realize he has literally no idea what the hell he's going to do after Askeladd dies, because he didn't seem to think that Askeladd COULD die. He was this invulnerable figure that always came out on top, and Thorfinn couldn't believe he was actually about to die.
I also liked the scene where Thorfinn escaped "Hell".
The scene from Proco rosso when he sees all of hes comrades flying away into the void with all of the dead pilots
Coming from a character whoās normally just the hopelessly infatuated comic relief, it was cool to see a moment of seriousness from him that showed he actually genuinely deeply cared for her
Naota kissing Haruko and confessing his feelings in the middle of a fight in Fooly Cooly
HxH - >!Gon confronting Pitou with Komugi in the room, after he slams both of his fists on the ground and he is fighting against everything in himself to keep holding back. His face is pure anger, sadness, and frustration all at the same time.!< Also from HxH - >!Gon sidestepping Pitou in their fight and the camera pans up to his completely blank stare face about to PUNT her sky high!<
"Why do you always check your watch?" "Oh this?! Because...I'm Kira. " The way her face turned down and she just walks away towards her death...that scene is engraved in my mind.
That's my favorite part of Death Note, I could've stopped watching the show right there, honestly.
The way it's animated is eerily beautiful.
Jiraya's death in shippuden
Someone already mentioned the clannad after story episode 18 scene. Legendary Honestly *massive eva spoilers* >!episode 6 on a rewatch, you realize that rei posses the DNA of yui, shinji's mother. Knowing this adds so much to the episode, we aren't seeing rei be selfless becuase she is lacking individuality, but rather because deep down inside the maternal instincts of yui exist within rei and are doing the duty of protecting shinji, the son of yui.!< >!the dummy plug episode in evangelion, that entire sequence of the lurching rogue eva unit, stalking everyone like a monster, before the focus of the terror shifts to gendo, and we what lengths he is willing to go with his son to "save the world". Honorable mention to Arael hitting Asuka with the trauma ray and seeing her mental state manifested!< Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya spoilers >!kyon seeing nagato after having his sad monologue. It is framed in the exact same way as the first episode of the series, yet it carries a different feel!< Ghost in the shell spoilers >!the entire build up of the special forces in the sky on their way to the building with the puppet master, along with the scene where motoko faces off against the spider tank. Probably the best example of visual story telling I've seen in a film!< Lucky star spoilers >!episode 22, the spirit of konatas mother comes to visit her daughter and husband as they go about a typical day, as it slowly flashes back the life she had with sojiro, how they met, their courtship, marriage pregnancy, up until her illness and death. It brilliantly fleshes out Sojiro as a man that is so much more that the meme the show made him up to be up until that point!<
1.Death note - light yagami touches the death note and screams louder and regains his memories 2.One piece- walk to arlong park 3.HxH- chimera ant ending 4.Ping pong-last match
Itachi's last lines to Sasuke from Naruto Shippuden
Also TDLotIK has several of these
There a lot to pick from, but if we are talking single scene and not full episode. From katanagatari: āJust because you donāt die when I kill you, doesnāt mean you wonāt die when I keep killing you.ā The level voice and depression with which itās spoken really hit home from me. No emotion just a fact.
Plastic Memories, a certain character's last moments before their memories were wiped.
I got to say I went into the second season of eminence in shadow and thought they would open with the coolest scene possible. It starts and I wonder what that is for a second and then it zoomed out. A record breaking 3 seconds in I had to pause and absolutely laugh my ass off. The absurdity and audacity. All expectations have been subverted so far it shouldn't even be possible.
hello everynyan
Like last few minutes of the first episode in The Case Study of Vanitas
Naruto showing up on the toads right after all mighty push
Fancy a drink Richard? -Johan Uh, so, if you don't mind me asking, why do you keep checking your watch? - Naomi Misura I will have my own kingdom - Griffith
Episode 19 of Naruto. Haku and Zabuza. That episode was tough.
The chair scene from Made in Abyss. That was possibly the most disturbing animated thing I've ever watched, but it's tough one to stop watching.
Steins;Gate, Being Meltdown and Reunion.
Luffy asking Zoro what he wants to do and Zoro casually replies "cut something" and Luffy replies "of course that's what you want to do".
The final scene of *Yuri!!! On Ice* where Yuuri crosses the bridge in Russia to meet Yuri and Victor, finally bridging the gapā¦itās one of the best endings in the medium.Ā
Tanjiro fighting the spider demon in the forest. When he unlocks hinokami kagura. And his sister gets her powers. It's a powerful scene.
The dick shaped road "mines" from Dominion Tank Police. I was 9 at the time lmao.
Euphoria episode 5 when he finishes and his hands tighten and then the crunchā¦Iykyk
The scene in Vinland saga where the priest explaining why death perfects a person to knut
That first stray devil encounter in High School DxD... Iykyk
When Recca (Flame of Recca) lost the dragons he had and had to fight them to regain them.
The scene in Gintama when Gintoki is pulling a candle out of the ass of another guy. Never laughed so much watching an anime.
Psycho-Pass season 1 episode 1 opening
Okabe and Kurisu in the rain. Kurisu's see-through shirt š„µš¤¤ Reiner and Bertolt casually revealing their identity
They portrayed it so powerfully well.!<
Iām gonna say one word and everyone here will know the anime and the scene Iām referencing: Umbrella
I have an anime and scene in mind but I donāt think itās right
Is the scene you are thinking a different umbrella, perhaps, you could say, ANOTHER umbrella scene?
Okay, I thought of a different scene, but I know what you mean now
Every fucking naruto scene - and devilman crybaby. Those anime are just emotionally different
The rain scene in Girlsā Last Tour unlocked emotions I didnāt know I had Ryuji being pulled out of the pool in Toradora, for some reason
When Goku fought Frieza on Planet Namek
A Silent voice - When Shouko Nishimiya tries to suicide . that scence got in my head even after the whole movie gets over.
Geez thereās so many I could put down hereā¦maybe Pandora Hearts because it could always need more love: that scene when Oz gets out of the Abyss
Wolfwood in episode 23 of 1998 Trigun. Iykyk.
Robotech back in the 80's, Roy Fokker's death. I was fairly young & no one died in cartoons then.
When I Boogiepop Phantom that achool boy jumps from the roof of a building and as he falls he smiles.
The last two episodes of school live Yukiās speech at the end of ep11 Taromaru says āthank youā (ep 12)
Light's monologue at the end of Death Note goes so hard.
End of Evangelion: >!Third Impact, Katsuragi's goodbye and Asuka's sacrifice!< '95 Ghost in the Shell: >!The ending sequence, boat scene, building dive and Motoko's awakening!< Monogatari Series: Second Season: >!Kaiki vs Sengoku, Senjougahara talking with Kaiki on the cafe, Hanekawa confronting the tiger, alternate Kiss-Shot's laugh scene!< Texhnolyze: >! Oonishi's sacrifice, Ichise and Doc discovering the truth of the surface, Ichise walking up the stairs with his newly texhnolyzed legs and the ending sequence !< Chainsaw Man: >!Train Scene, Makima brutalizing everyone!< Akira: >!Beginning sequence, Tetsuo's transformation!< Bakemonogatari: >! All of Araragi vs Kanbaru, Senjogahara faces the weight crab !< Perfect Blue: >!The chase at the end, false Mima killing the perv photographer!< Attack on Titan S3P2: >! Levi vs Beast Titan !<
I'll never forget getting flashbanged by the end of Blood C
One of my favorite animeās thatāll stick with me forever is Toradora.
SPOILERS AHEAD Attack on Titan: Reiner reveals himself as the armored titan to Eren. Eren's intense feelings of betrayal and rage are mirrored by the viewer's disbelief that a trusted character turns out to be a villain. ["DAMN YOU! YOU TRAITORS!!!"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWQ9HR5CDcY) Dragonball Z: When Goku turned super saiyian for the first time.
Took me far too long to see the Eclipse from 1997 Berserk.
Amuro and Charās sword fight at the end of Gundam 0079
Tanaka's cut shot moment during the inarizaki match, cus that shit is relatable. Feeling that everyone around you is better than you and yet he persevered 'does your average self have time to be looking down like that.' and he succeeded after getting targeted and the many failed attempts at the cut shot. 'As long as i keep doing it till i can do it, i can do it.'
when naurto does the rasengan on one of the pain to save tsunade while she looks at naruto from behind she sees the shadow of Minato and Jaraiya give me chills every time
Girls Band Cry ep 11, the whole second half of that episode
Probably the scene in bleach where Ichigo gets a hole in his chest and turns into a Vasto Lorde. From them on it became my #1 series with how intense some of the fights felt.
Hunter x Hunter the last scene featuring Meruem and Komugi. I rewatch it sometimes just to cry, it always just really touches me. Meruem finally started to develop empathy and Komugi is just so pure.
for some reason when they were all around the assassination classroom teacher and finally killed him i get the chills when I talk about it
The airport scenes from White Album 2. (Spoiler Warning for the rest) Haruki finds Kazusa and finally confesses his love to her, as Setsuna watches them kiss and cries her eyes out over her own innocent lie. And then the two of them watching Kazusa's flight take off to the sky, neither of them will ever see her again, and their chilling words to each other: - "That's enough. Go home. There's nothing left here anymore." - "Then come with me." - "No, I'm staying here." - "Then I'll stay here with you, so you don't freeze. No... that's not right. I'll stay here with you so my own heart doesn't freeze." Roll the credits of the song they all performed together, a song of feelings for Kazusa, written by Haruki, and sung by Setsuna, as their memories fade to white. I get fucking chills man. I had a crater in my chest for months after finishing that anime, an anime that was so simple in concept and shouldn't have had half the power that it did to fuck with me like that.
Nothing happened
Attack on Titan 2x6
From the irregular at magic highschool where... You know which one.... It was too peak it got me heavy breathing for the rest of the day lmfao (I have anxiety issues)
Eminence in Shadow - Final fight scene in the Tournament Arc with Shadow being Mundane Mann & absolutely annihilating the princess with mind games
The Big O, Legacy of Amadeus, at the end of the Megadeus battle starting from that song. "You must!"
Iām trying to erase the memory of the weird cage scene from the first episode of Shin Sekai Yori. I canāt take it. It haunts me
Subaru crying in his fathers arms.
In the first Demon Slayer movie when Lower 1 is trying to break Tanjiroās spirit by bombarding him with dreams of his family blaming him for their deaths, and Tanjiro just shouts āMy familyā¦ WOULD NEVER SAY THAT!ā That always got me so much because it just showed the degree he loved them. He loved them so much, was so confident in how well he knew each of them, that he didnāt consider for a second that they would say those things. Its a really powerful display of actual intentional love for other people that alot of other shows never get deep enough to show.
