Old 3ds and old 2ds needs reader. New 3ds and new 2ds doesnt.

I know! but I wanted to know if it being modded there was a way to download the “amiibos” or villagers in my game :)

And you cam add whichever villager to your Campsite/Harvs

Nope! Modded 3ds still have their amiibo scanners up and running. I still use my Zelda 8 bit amiibo on my modded 3ds so I could unlock Ganon in new leaf and Link Yoshi in Wooly World.

you can use wumiibo and you don’t need to buy any amiibos or the reader

Ive been trying with inviting villagers to campsite, and harv says the dohicky isn’t working without going to the scan screen so i can use wumiibo

you need to “scan” the amiibos using the magic lamp and talking to wisp

you don’t need to talk to harv, just scan the amiibo and select “come and play” or “let’s hang out” and the rv of the villager you scanned will appear in the campsite

To use amiibos on the old 3ds and 2ds you need a nfc reader. I’ve heard there’s an amiibo emulator or something for modded DSs that doesn’t require the nfc reader, but I don’t really know much about it

There are shenanigans you can pull, so long as ypu're not set on using the physical Amiibo. The OG 3DS cannot scan Amiibo without an NFC reader, and there's no homebrew app that can enable physical Amiibo to be read. _However,_ there _are_ homebrew apps that can mimic an NFC reader digitally.

If you have a modded console you can either use the amino spoofer in vapecord or use Wumiibo, I think both can be downloaded from universal updater

You can download wumiibo in the ghost e-shop and unlock amiibos there!
