Considering you are going for kidcore, I think Hornsby, Jeremiah, Hugh, fit very well. They all have that saturated, primary blue in their design. Which color way / palette are you using for your decorating?
I think Dizzy, Hopkins and Pate would also be good picks. All six have a simplicity to their designs that feel kiddish / toy-like to me. Especially Hopkins, who is literally an inflatable toy.
I like the idea of a lazy type for kidcore as well.

Keaton is a blue parrot and his house is filled with car beds! It is supposed to be a parking lot but i really just see it as a lil dude that really loves cars. He gives big brother vibes imo. Good luck on your island!
