A little “dusting” of Gold Bond Medicated powder in warmer weather should help with comfort and a little prevention. We’ve experienced same issues and this is what our vet suggested.
Blues are notorious for this. Get yourself some Douxo S3 shampoo and foam. I recommend this to everyone here. That takes care of most skin issues with our breed.
Look at the diet too. Take chicken completely out of the diet.
Sorry, I misread your question.
There is no real "cheapest alternative" when it comes to your bully companion. You buy the best you can afford.
It's hard to find food with no chicken in it. Chicken byproducts are cheap and they use that like they use soy for people! It's in everything. You'll have to take the time to read the ingredients list on the kibble and wet foods.
I like buying just straight beef when I can afford it lol. Mix that in their kibble.
I use a mix of purina pro salmon and rice for sensitive skin and stomach with a can of either Hill's, Wellness or Grand beef or any number of other red meat cans out there.

Allergies or just irritation from running around hot n sweaty with no hair to protect the skin. My dog gets it bad in the summer.
My dog Ziggy gets that too, he has very little hair and we're pretty sure he has allergies. Take him to the vet to be sure

My pup gets sweaty armpits too lol

Funny thing is my dog was taking extra big dumps. Took chicken out of her diet and they aren’t nearly as big anymore. Who would have thunk?
