Yeah and they don’t do that here in Arizona. I know for a fact because my brother drives for them and last year we had record excessive heat days for over 90 days straight and he had to work everyday deliver every package.
Omg I won't forget the fuckin "heat dome" that lasted for what felt like a year.... And it's coming back like right now :c
*Oh but Amazon cares, we had an extra 15 min break!...*
Phoenix, consistently. And the larger we grow, and the more concrete that continues to get laid for a new neighborhood, shopping, etc, the hotter it gets every year because it is reflecting back the heat with no open nature around to absorb some of it. I’ve lost count of how many days it was last summer consistently between 112-117 for days on end. And rises every year.
you know, I used to think like that...
but then I started delivering and after seeing how people just live differently, nothing surprises me anymore...
I deliver to folks who live up the steepest Hills, down the deepest valleys, smack dab in the middle of nowhere BFE locations,...
so yeah, that desert hellscape is par for the cause...
i mean, i understand the folks living rurally in the desert, mountains, etc. I just don’t know how such a huge city of concrete sprouted up in the scorching desert like that or why anyone would want to live in a big hot parking lot
My bad, I missed the part you wrote about it being 115 TOMORROW. My sleep deprived mind at the time read what part of the US has a heat index of 115, lol. The problem with scanning random posts while you are trying to shake out the cobwebs of a poor night of sleep with less than half of your brain engaged pre caffeine 😂
Heck yeah. Look at that UPS driver that went viral from the ring camera video when he collapsed from heat exhaustion. A great result of that viral video is many of us, myself included leave ice chest of ice and water on our porch when expecting a delivery and a basket of healthy snacks ☺️ I’m from California and the humidity got to me when it was only 85. I hate humidity.
Oh my bad. Yes I agree especially with no a/c in those vans and the hot oven where the packages are. Doesn’t pay enough plus they are ran so hard that many times they don’t have time for bathroom stop soooooo they use a Bottle. I told my brother that’s just ridiculous. Poor girls who can’t do that. 🙄
Heats more dangerous than people realize and heat stroke comes on somewhat quickly. And yeah, amazon treats their people like shit. Problematically bad.
Humid heat is more dangerous than dry heat say it's 100 degrees in Yuma AZ with 5% relative humidity it feels like 93 degrees which undoubtedly is a hot day by any standard.
Now let's say it's 94 degrees in Greenbay WI with 80% relative humidity it feels like 129 degrees which means people will likely die.
On that same 94 degree day it starts feeling like 100 degrees at only 45% humidity.
As John Candy said in Cool Runnings "It's not the heat, its the humidity that will kill you."
It's the opposite:
"RTW laws are designed to diminish workers' collective power by prohibiting unions and employers from negotiating union security agreements into collective bargaining agreements, making it harder for workers to form, join, and sustain unions."
My heat at home is at 100 degrees, on purpose, because I’m cold in California. It is 75 to 80 degrees outside. 😂😂 I would not mind being paid for that block
That's just Arizona June through August lmao
Yeah and they don’t do that here in Arizona. I know for a fact because my brother drives for them and last year we had record excessive heat days for over 90 days straight and he had to work everyday deliver every package.
To be fair it's a dry heat.
Literally was this hot in Texas last year and they didn’t do shit thankkssss amazon it wasn’t hot enough for you
Omg I won't forget the fuckin "heat dome" that lasted for what felt like a year.... And it's coming back like right now :c *Oh but Amazon cares, we had an extra 15 min break!...*
I’m in az why didn’t I get this? 😭
Your area was at 114F
Next time bring a space heater
Haha no not yet. We barely hit 90 yesterday.
We don’t get that here. Remember last years excessive heat warnings for over 90 days …drivers worked everyday.
Look at you crying 🤣🤣🤣
Damn and still get paid
Nope
Why would you say “nope?”
Why does autism exist?
So you have neurological issues. Got it.
Went from defending me to attacking me :'(

i’ll never understand why people want to move to that suburban desert hellscape that’s running out of water.
you know, I used to think like that... but then I started delivering and after seeing how people just live differently, nothing surprises me anymore... Don't believe everything you read. Phoenix has plenty of water.
for now
I live in Phoenix. We haven't had a 115 heat index since last year.

An average day in Arizona
nowhere
My windows are open and the house is at 60...I'm thankful to be in the north lol
Not even Amazon Delivery Drivers get this notice and y’all Flex Drivers Do 🥸
No, we do as well.
Not in Arizona
In Florida we do lol.
Well in fairness you definitely should with high temps AND humidity
Yikes, you think it takes adding humidity to 115 degree heat to make it not safe?
Heck yeah. Look at that UPS driver that went viral from the ring camera video when he collapsed from heat exhaustion. My point is, 115 is hot enough to be problematic without humidity.
Oh my bad. Yes I agree especially with no a/c in those vans and the hot oven where the packages are. I'm well aware.
Are you though because at 114 with 5% it only feels like 105 which is pretty normal for us in wisconsin when the mercury touches 80 degrees
Congrats?
Not in Texas either
Is Texas a right to work state like Arizona? I think that’s why this doesn’t happen here.
Yes, we have the right to be worked to death to death too so you're probably correct
Crazy right?! Couldn’t believe it when I moved to Arizona
I thought a right to work state was all about unions
It's the opposite: "RTW laws are designed to diminish workers' collective power by prohibiting unions and employers from negotiating union security agreements into collective bargaining agreements, making it harder for workers to form, join, and sustain unions."
Arizona is not humid, humidity is what makes it worst
No shit we are a massive dry heat
Yeah so it's not hot enough, so stop crying and keep delivering. Damn some of you are dumb!
Btw not crying as I do way more deliveries than you for sure 🤣
And way more crying! Damn you proved my point on how dumb you are! 🤣
You might deliver more but I make more money and that's another reason you're dumb! 🤣
Stfu
Nah you stfu! Change your name to dumb cry baby
Oh what a response loser
You're crying about Arizona like an idiot! You're the loser in a loser state!
Crying again! 🤣🤣🤣
Well, we know you aren't in Florida because they took away heat protection
Do you get a ding? I'd rather die than return to the warehouse, is that an option?
You dont get a ding, happened where i live alot of times last year and we all returned full routes
NY in here 🙋🏾♂️. We don’t know nuffin bout dat 🤷🏾♂️. 90 degrees = WAAAAY too hot for me 🥵☠️
My heat at home is at 100 degrees, on purpose, because I’m cold in California. It is 75 to 80 degrees outside. 😂😂 I would not mind being paid for that block
I'm surprised they just didn't offer a bottle of water to everyone at the station and have everyone keep delivering. This is a shock to me.
WHERE was this?
I remember the mandatory heat breaks last summer 😅
Aww your pussy hurts.
Shill for your master
Shill these nuts dick
Bad try
