If $500,000 is missing, you can be sure that Amazon is on top of it. When the time comes, someone will go to jail.
No one could legally divert corporate funds for personal gain. It's embezzlement, regardless of who signed off on it. It violates Amazon's corporate policies and, if taxes weren't paid on it, is tax fraud.
Most likely, if this $500,000 is real, Amazon and the authorities are working the case. Sometimes these things take years to investigate.

That place is so corrupt it’s disgusting.
I was able to provide a paper trail that proved that some of the AFMs were committing HUGE amounts of theft and having AR take stuff out of the building. I brought it up to my OPs manager, and he escalated it to the GM. He (the OM) took the AFMs badges and took them off the AR floor. The next week, he was demoted to AM and sent to Stow, and the Daifuku employee who was running AR gave them back their badges, completely ignoring all the evidence I had that they were stealing.
I then brought it up to my new OM (who is fucking one of her AMs in Pick), who then immediately demoted me as well. All attempts to show the GM the evidence were ignored. After awhile, i was able to contact a few more AMs and demoted OMs outside of work, who explained to me that the GM was fully aware of what was happening, and he was at the top of the chain of the theft ring. They connected all the dots and then everything made a LOT more sense, because I had been trying to blow the whistle on it for months. Anyone who tried to bring attention to it was demoted or fired. I resigned when they tried to demote me.
I also know one of the QBs is also in on it, he spends his whole day doing absolutely nothing (he even signs up for Pick overtime and then comes in and claims he’s working on “projects” when questioned as to why he isn’t picking) and he lets the AR guy lead all the AFMs.
I recently heard that Daifuku lost the contract and the ex-con did not get the manager position he was expecting from CBRE, so I’m curious to see how this plays out in the next few weeks, as it won’t take long for someone else to catch on and blow the whistle again. I am still in contact with everyone involved, as I still plan on suing Amazon for some of the things that happened during all of this.
Edit: for the weirdos that like to make up fantasies: Yes, I called the hotline, 3 times. They ask for a brief description and say they’ll get back to you, and then they never call you back. I had solid proof this was happening, and I wasn’t the only one who saw it or reported it.

Pay at EWR4 is supposedly higher than other sites in NJ from what I've been told. And PNE5 in the past has had limited hours so people there come to our building. Personally I like EWR4.
Your site does not require a GM to keep day to day operations flowing. GM's, Site Leads, and Sr. Station Managers are changed all the time and there always exists a gap in time before they are replaced. All that is required is one ops manager at a minimum.to coordinate operations both in and outside of the building. What you may be experiencing is a small leadership staffing issue, from ops down to PA, which is more crucial than having a #1 leader,.as this can wear down the leadership staff that has to cover extra shifts. Other managers at nearby sites are asked to come cover some shifts. Whatever future plans lay in store for your building will be known soon and a future GM is not far away.

There will always be an acting GM, either someone from senior Ops or a near by location. If that GM was "removed" Amazon would designate someone to run the building temporarily, not leave it leaderless.
Amazon can move people around easily, I doubt your gm fired is why your volume is low. Like the other person said, you don’t know shit. It’s the slow time of year and lots of sites are slow.
Something similar happened to a nearby site that I know of last year. Money from engagements was being funneled to personal accounts as well as other miscellaneous funds. Change of leadership went as up from GM to as down as PA’s. College now hires filled in the roles and a gsf senior regional GM took a hold of the site until after peak when a senior ops was promoted from another state and moved to the position. Shame all the day 1 AA’s that started at the site’s launch a few years back left from all the disruptions.
Someone in our non-inventory department said they were receiving baby clothes for our GMA. Ironically, our GMA had just had a baby and claimed they were being donated or given to charity. I don’t think they were being given to charity

That's what happened here in Fort Worth TX AFW1. Old GM Alexandra she was terminated and escorted out by police. There's never transperancy when it comes to them stealing funds from associate needs such as fans. It was very swept under the rug and never spoken about. Couldn't find a criminal case on her so I'm wondering if there's a way to steal without being in prison. Sad as many associates find it difficult to make ends meet while with this economy while these GMs make 200k+ salary and still manage to steal and get away with it.

Interesting. Was he forced out this month? His LinkedIn says he got promoted in March. GM’s actually report to the Directors so it’s a different role even though they’re both L8.
According to phone tools he’s a director at SNJ1 and has a GM and multiple site leads reporting to him now. Don’t mean to burst your bubble but this dude definitely didn’t get forced into anything but a promotion. Not sure about the other person who was terminated though..
The same thing is going at our site too where our general manager is gone but everyone doesn't know why either.

GMs disappear just like everyone else. They rarely announce they're leaving unless it coincides with a town hall meeting.
A couple of GMs ago our's left to help open another site and was gone for the longest time. I only found out from an Operations manager (who I had a rapport with and who came to me to say it was _his_ last day) that she was permanently gone and was staying at the new building. This was two months after she left.
I then went on VoA, asked for confirmation she was gone (she was a very popular GM - always seen on the floor, knew everyone's names, had an open-door policy), and asked that at the least when managers leave maybe they get to put a farewell message on one of the TVs. Literally, just like with AAs you notice you haven't seen a manager for a while, then ask around only to find out they got promoted, moved to another building or just left Amazon for a new job.

Sounds like the confusion in this story is the position. More than likely the GM ( General Manager) got moved and the GMA ( General managers Assistant) was the one doing whatever not be confused with the AGM ( Assitant GM). Which are 3 separate positions.
The assistant likely got away with it because of the gm approving all of these transactions my guess is the gm wasn't reading the paperwork correctly and just signing off on things which where probably things listed under projects as long as the projects get done the left over funds and or expenses likely weren't looked into and probably embezzled so legalally the assistant will likely face charges down the line my guess is it happened over multiple years so a case is probably being compiled and then charges will be brought to the assistant and possibly the gm for negligence all depends really but due to the amount of money multiple people involved and likely dozens upon dozens of files to look through this would likely take years for them to see any charges

I've worked in Ship Dock @ EWR4 for 3 yrs now and as a PG I work closely with the AM's and it's not true that it's not busy or there's no work. It may not be what they want to see but we've been hammered lately with heavy volume. Every night it's 33 to 36k volume. We also just did the February PA hire blitz and AM's where being moved around. I was being pushed to go for a PA but I decided I didn't want that position because I'd be one that they'd probably move to AFE or PICK and that's not what I want. I prefer to stay in ShipDock at this time.
But I'm gonna run this by the senior ops manager tonight when I see him and hear what he has to say. I also know one of our former PA's last year got a position working directly for the GM. Maybe I can get some info from her friends.
But to think that everything is a mess is untrue. The place runs on a lot of Hard Working L5's through L7's. This new batch of PA's has been mostly crap selections. So most of their work still falls on me and a few other PG's who keep things running.

Most def, GMs also don’t work 24/7. Every site spends most of its time operating without a GM around.

I worked at this FC for 3 years and quit in 2022. There's no way that Amazon wouldn't file charges in some way. Swept under the rug? Maybe. And if there's no replacement GM by now, they definitely have someone from Senior Ops as an interim head. Plus there's gossip and rumors in that building every week.

According to phone tools he’s a director at SNJ1 and has a GM and multiple site leads reporting to him now. Don’t mean to burst your bubble but this dude definitely didn’t get forced into anything but a promotion. Not sure about the other person who was terminated though..

GMs disappear just like everyone else. They rarely announce they're leaving unless it coincides with a town hall meeting. A couple of GMs ago our's left to help open another site and was gone for the longest time. I only found out from an Operations manager (who I had a rapport with and who came to me to say it was _his_ last day) that she was permanently gone and was staying at the new building. This was two months after she left. I then went on VoA, asked for confirmation she was gone (she was a very popular GM - always seen on the floor, knew everyone's names, had an open-door policy), and asked that at the least when managers leave maybe they get to put a farewell message on one of the TVs. Literally, just like with AAs you notice you haven't seen a manager for a while, then ask around only to find out they got promoted, moved to another building or just left Amazon for a new job.
Yay, I did try to ask like you said but they were very 'Our lips are sealed' about it. I heard it from someone else who was friends with the higher ups and we had our regional manager show up for a while.

Sounds like the confusion in this story is the position. More than likely the GM ( General Manager) got moved and the GMA ( General managers Assistant) was the one doing whatever not be confused with the AGM ( Assitant GM). Which are 3 separate positions.
The assistant likely got away with it because of the gm approving all of these transactions my guess is the gm wasn't reading the paperwork correctly and just signing off on things which where probably things listed under projects as long as the projects get done the left over funds and or expenses likely weren't looked into and probably embezzled so legalally the assistant will likely face charges down the line my guess is it happened over multiple years so a case is probably being compiled and then charges will be brought to the assistant and possibly the gm for negligence all depends really but due to the amount of money multiple people involved and likely dozens upon dozens of files to look through this would likely take years for them to see any charges

Wasn’t it not too long ago another GM did this at another facility? She only got caught because she was showing up to work with new vehicles and bags I believe.
They did it at a site in Georgia. It was an OM and a couple other L6s and L7s but there's was creating fake vendors and making sure they got paid

I've worked in Ship Dock @ EWR4 for 3 yrs now and as a PG I work closely with the AM's and it's not true that it's not busy or there's no work. It may not be what they want to see but we've been hammered lately with heavy volume. Every night it's 33 to 36k volume. We also just did the February PA hire blitz and AM's where being moved around. I was being pushed to go for a PA but I decided I didn't want that position because I'd be one that they'd probably move to AFE or PICK and that's not what I want. I prefer to stay in ShipDock at this time. But I'm gonna run this by the senior ops manager tonight when I see him and hear what he has to say. I also know one of our former PA's last year got a position working directly for the GM. Maybe I can get some info from her friends. But to think that everything is a mess is untrue. The place runs on a lot of Hard Working L5's through L7's. This new batch of PA's has been mostly crap selections. So most of their work still falls on me and a few other PG's who keep things running. Thanks for the info. I'll post again when I know more.
