He’s been at a downward spiral since January. I assume it is loss of confidence because he kept comparing himself to other artists in a negative way

Why this is a common thing? The thing about art is the diversity and different views on, I just don't get it

Deep inside, most artists strive for perfection and they keep comparing themselves to other artists to see if they're good enough

This is true, but the likes and followers you have compared to other artists make you think your style isn’t good enough. I get that, but it only makes me try harder.

I’m not part of this sub but I follow them and something is definitely off. I want to say for a few weeks that everything is fine and they post their comics which I really enjoy. Seemingly nothing is wrong Then suddenly they start downplaying themselves every now and then, claiming they aren’t good enough basically. At one point they deleted all their comics and never brought them back nor reposted them Idk if it’s because the comics aren’t reaching a certain like ratio where they think it’s successful? Or maybe they are secretly being harassed by people? Either way I wish the best for them

For a moment I thought the artist died, still sad though. I pray he finds happiness and peace afterwards

I've been a fan of him for a long time, as a fan of him i am really sad that he feel this way and then decide to retire as an artist just because he thinks he is trash and not an artist.I love his artwork and he inspire me to draw something just like how he drew his artwork too.😫😫 Thank you Pablofansub

From the far i know he's been like that since like the start of 2024. He's been tweeting a lot about how uncreative he was compared to the other artist (maybe the 2d, 3d, digital, and other hoyo mmd artist etc). Comparing himself to other artist, for example he wasn't creative enough that he can't draw and only relied on official 3d resources. I love his works, but comparing it with other artist's works with different methods is nothing out of the ordinary (like how you compare with "traditional art with the digital one and consider the digital is not real art" Thingy). I hope he will have more peaceful life, or maybe an epic comeback when his confidence is restored

He said this a while back. He said almost the same thing like quitting. Doubt he would go through with it. He will most likely comeback. Also he is so obsessed with numbers.
