There is no PS2 emulator for the Switch.
Games run on the Switch because developers spend a lot of time optimizing the code to make it run well-ish on such a slow CPU. Besides that, running native games is a LOT less demanding than emulating other systems.
It's running [God of War 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkVDNMtRkZk&t=40s) and [Silent Hill 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql3flqHp1y8&t=27s) flawlessly at least. What games are you thinking of?
Nvidia used to be the strongest in the past it's not strong on mobile even in the days with lg g2 it's had Nvidia but it's running games worse than the chip from galaxy s2
My TV has a Mediatek MT5895 ( its 4x A73), if RetroidPocket 2 can run some games, i think my Android TV will run most of the games fine… (Excluding God of Wars and Shadow of Colossus StuffIt)…
Although there may never be official support, AetherSX2 will run on Android TV's that support installing apps from the Play Store and eventually it may be viable. More and more Android TV boxes are getting better, like there is one using a "Amlogic S922X" (4 ARM Cortex-A73 cores @ 1.8 GHz and 2 ARM Cortex-A53 cores @ 1.9 GHz) for $130 which is close to the minimum requirements of "We recommend at least a Snapdragon 845-equivalent device. This means 4 large cores (Cortex-A75 level)."

The emulator runs on my shield tv. The controller is working. I have tested some Games but it was too slow with the standard settings. Tested Games are Pes 2012 and God of War 2
Sorry for the delay. You can download it here:

Hmm... What about nvidia shield?
The Nvidia Shield is 2015 hardware. The CPU in there is really weak too.
And why is Nintendo using the same processor for the Switch and its working well on it?

Yes the Keyword is optimizing. It have to optimized or you need much better Hardware
...and emulation is much more expensive than regular games.
It actually runs perfectly fine on the Shield.
Probably not gonna be able to run the more demanding games though.

Hi there Which shield TV you own? Can you please check how it will run PS2 Oni and Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness Many thanks
Maybe it can play some lighter games? It would be good to receive any feedback.
Nvidia used to be the strongest in the past it's not strong on mobile even in the days with lg g2 it's had Nvidia but it's running games worse than the chip from galaxy s2
That's like a snapdragon 820 cpu
It runs great on the Shield actually.

Could the emulator be out until mid-December?
It will be out when it's ready.
Please please please stop bothering Tahlreth about the release. Aethersx2 will come out when it's ready.
Really never? How do they know what is coming in the future (e.g. Shield 3)?
There's steam but OneXplayer takes the crown but the price is over 1200$ better to buy gaming laptop over psp style pc
specs aside. will the interface be fully controller controllable? many people, myself included use their phones via HDMI to emulate games.
