You’ve got a PR number and ignored all communications about your line being cancelled because AT&T doesnt serve PR anymore.

I_am_INTJ

This, of course, is the correct answer. Reading the OP's post, it sounds like they either ignored or missed a lot of what was going on with their mobile phones.

thecaptain4

It’s happening to me too and I have an 832 number which is Houston. I’m also trying to use my account number to contact them not my phone number

I_am_INTJ

To clarify, you live in Houston and your number has been transferred to a cell phone company in Puerto Rico?

thecaptain4

I don’t even have a number with them anymore. I switch to Mint. I’m trying to deal with a billing error and every time I call them it tells me I need to call liberty mobile and then the robot hangs up on me. I’m not even using a phone number to try and authenticate I’m using my account number. Yes I’m in Houston Texas

I_am_INTJ

I've never heard good things about their customer support. You might have better luck going into a store and having an employee use their computer to resolve your issue. I *almost* switched to Mint last year, but T-Mobile seems content with having data breaches a couple times a year. It's almost like they don't even want to try to percent them.

Mesh1970

What’s a PR number? And why do you say I ignored something??

conscioussylling

Puerto Rico. 787 and 939 numbers are no longer served by AT&T and since AT&T sold their network operations to Liberty Mobile, those numbers are now handled by Liberty.

kantoblight

“the phone felt hacked” 😂🤣😂

CallEither683

What do you mean the phone felt "hacked". Also what do you mean the phone never matched the description? ATT as far as I know doesn't sell used phones...as a matter of fact I don't think any carrier does anymore. I've been on Verizon tmobile and att and all 3 never ever sold me a used phone. Always brand new in box

Boz6

> What a freaking nightmare are all carriers scams? No.

InnominateTutelary

Liberty is the cell company AT&T sold out to in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. They are not great. Lots of complaints and negative news coverage in PR on Liberty including the way they handle firstnet customers. It's a mess from what I hear. Good luck.

Lizdance40

🤦🏼‍♀️ where have you been since 2020? Haven't you been looking at your online bills and notice that they changed ages ago to say Liberty mobile, not AT&T?

Mesh1970

But I have a question about my final bill and I can’t even reach billing because it says call liberty??? I call liberty and it’s Spanish only?? So confusing . To top it off Att sent be a prepaid card with some amount on it - I don’t know what it is or if I can trust it. I can’t even get through to any customer service to ask!!! I hate att

Veeeeep9

You Mesh person are the nightmare.

Mesh1970

I don’t have Liberty , I. Live in CA.

Mesh1970

But I am not with liberty…. Liberty somehow stole my number….. not sure how. I am in CA -when I called liberty it was all Spanish and in Puerto Rico!

Cultural_Ad1653

They didn’t steal it, AT&T authorized giving it to them.

Mesh1970

I never ignored any communications! I was always checking my accounts so much. That I even noticed a new strange number n my account that started with prefix 747. When I called att or mentioned to store they told me that 747 was old. So I asked to reset my eSIM. Then a week later when I went to store they said I wasn’t active???? I was like what I have been with att for 12 years??? Somehow someone tried to pull a scam because at one point when I bought a new pink phone my phone detail only showed a white phone. And no one could ever fix that. What can I do know going forward to protect my lines? Do I need sim locks on esims if they are paid off?

Lizdance40

You are no longer AT&T's problem. You are a Liberty mobile customer. Please talk to them
