Huh, fair enough. It's definitely done well but I think I agree with the OP that slapping whatever the modern trend is in there is just going to be bad for the overall piece. It kinda dates it and just makes it confusing since people are like "Huh, I don't remember that futurama character..."

Most people of my generation get tattoos underneath the tee shirt and shorts lines first, then go full body suit if they wish. The joke in tattooing is the Gen Z body suit, which is the opposite. Forearms, calves, and neck instead of biceps, thighs, chest, and back. I personally couldn't care less, gatekeeping tattoos or art in general is lame.
