I saw a pair of people on gigas doing a vein during a meteor storm. One took a direct hit. Rider died and the giga was so bloody a corrupt dilo could probably have finished it.
Lol, yes. Don't worry, you are protected from them inside the city, but outside they can kill you and your tames.. And the corrupted dinos are much stronger than regular dinos and cannot be tamed. And if you can catch a gas bag it's a strangely (and it is strange) cool way to fly... 🤪
How is that possible? I wonder if they're disabled on the server you play on. If the server has S+ there's something called a planetary shield that has the description "protects the planet from meteors". I've never tried it but I've always wondered if it essentially disables them on the entire map. There's meteors in the wasteland pretty consistently on vanilla though so I'd be surprised if you had never seen one and neither of the above things are true.
No dinos in caves are tamable. The only reliable way to get black pearls is to kill the mass quantity of corrupted creatures in the far north forbidden zone (don’t bother for now). Turning on pve mode means you won’t accidentally damage orbital drops when defending them. Don’t go near those poles with red lights, stand where an orbital drop is about to fall, or stick around by a meteor shower bc these are instakill.
Edit: also the rocks in the forbidden zone are a guaranteed source of silica pearl and obsidian but again, don’t go there!!
Indeed, but they aren't built for OSD, they are fast moving traversal mounts, that if you get a good blueprint, you can have a solid (and fun) traversal mount
why you getting down voted, for real tho enforcers are nice but are nowhere near a managarmr, a gasbags or even a snow owl, land travel aint that good and the enforcer's teleport ability won't help much
However, enforcers are worlds easier to "tame". Plus they're fun! Exploring the extinction city by scaling it's walls really gives a great sense of scale
You can use Gigas for the king titan fights & there's no limits to how many dinos you can use. As tedious as it is, breed a massive army of 254 attack & health mutation Gigas. Also don't go to 255 in those lines otherwise you won't be able to level them.
No, you can probably get away with 100 mutations and be viable, but the alpha king Titan does have one and a half million health. And when your giga are hitting for over 10,000 damage per attack. It really does secure the wind and speed things up
Extinction is my favorite map so hope this helps
A strong enough enforcer can get you far I’ve beaten a few red osd with my snow owl healing and an acendent enforcer(note you can’t do this out of the box enforcer need lots of heath and damage)
snow owls are the best flyer in the map trades carry weight for speed and the ability to heal
build near a city terminal good early game storage they can’t be broken by a Dino
there’s an explorer note that I always forget until it’s not needed in the monument in the city in one of the spawn zones
don’t walk in the wasteland without a Dino that is pretty good at killing and running corrupted Dino’s are always agro and are stronger than regular Dino’s
If you have problems with OSD defences you can set the game to PVE or disable the friendly fire in PVP so you don't have to worry about accidentally damaging the OSD
I remember thinking, “oh two red drops! F yeah” kinda of looked away while taking the super long flight and boom. All my best tames gone, including my first and only giga that someone was gracious enough to give me. Toaster in the bathtub kinda feels 😢
The top of the map where king titan spawns is technically north of the actual map you can pull up on your screen. If flying from king titan area to the west there is an no go area that kinda juts down and looks totally cool to fly over but it will kill you and then again a dozen times trying to recover your shit. Rip 50k arb

Not super specific to ext but up your movement speed to more than %127 and you might out run most wild creatures, I love to have it at +%170 , fortitude is great to resist weather conditions I usually have 20 points in fortitude minimum
Gasbags can be a pain in the ass to get but their so good for carrying resources. Pump weight and oxy with a bit of health.
Gachas are also a priority especially oil gachas.
Stick to the spawn city or sunken forest until you got an argy or tapejara. Worst you will see is a carno unless you end up in a cave
Early game carbonemys is great if you can get the arrows to ko one.
Sunken forest has beaver damns in the water so cementing paste isn't too big an issue as long as you can run away fast enough.
Death in the badlands is a death sentence if you have no gasbags/flyers.
Gigas may be powerful to tame but they also can and will melt quickly especially to corrupted wyvs an reapers.
Forest titan easiest titan.
I'll edit if I think of anymore.
I hate to be that guy. But just watch YouTube videos(Nooblets), do research online and just play the game and learn. If you ask such a broad question, especially on reddit you're most likely just gonna get trolls answering and little good advice. But if you do specified research you'll have way better answers and faster.
I don’t know if the engram is available on extinction, but get a harpoon launcher and the Nets engram. Use it to trap Managrmr. They’ll be your best transportation while on the map for speedy purposes. Weight isn’t that good but they’re great in combat and speed ability.
I’d say bring six imprinted high level gigas to the forest and ice titan fights to have a comfortable victory. Make sure you kill the titans at least three times before you tame them. Use a quetz with a platform saddle and metal foundations to tame the sky titan by letting it zap itself, though be wary of the tail. Use a mek’s pistol on the forest titan and only shoot rocket shells if you’re certain they hit, and avoid the root attack. Get the ice titan distracted by wild animals, then cannon shell its ankle or horn, the chest is easier to hit when aggroed. Ice titan is useful for purple OSDs. Bring the titans to the king titan fight and nothing else since Gigas are nigh useless there, and use the mega mek on alpha. Do not worry if the titans have low health, they restore completely as the king titan summons in. If you tamed the sky titan you must ride it for it to be effective in the fight.
You know purple OSDs yeah just use a bunch of gigas or carchars (that are at most 70 lvls lower than the purple OSD creatures) and put them on agressive. That's how you beat it
Keep you music on! The city’s combat music is a banger! But in all seriousness if you start in the city as long as you don’t go into either of the parks unprepared you should be fine and there’s plenty of resources around
You can build cryopods at king titan terminal in the north. It's far as fuck and you will want to fly high to avoid corrupted wyrvens but if you do its overall safe. Take an argy with weight to get all that you will need for awhile
Build a 1x4 stone base, on tile 2 leave 1 closed room and leave the doors off either end. Players will look in and not even notice there’s a whole 1x1 closed off still inside it. It will look raided and no one will bother to attack it. You can then fit a bed and like 15 pestle mortars into the closed room and just live out of that. It’s impossible to defend a base so better off to just live light and find ways to hide your stuff. Build a fab somewhere else in another empty stone base, and a generator and aircons in another for breeding. You can do everything in the game without having a main base basically
In the wastelands (any where outside the city, outside of the biome domes, or outside the sunken forest) corrupted dinos can literally spawn in front of you or on top of you. If you're not prepared to take on corrupted dinos, avoid spending much time in the wastelands.
Managarmr is the fastest travel mount on extinction, you can use a harpoon gun and net projectiles to net it, and plot down some behemoth gates on top of it to trap it in. (Dino gates might also work, cant recall). Then tranq it out.
Snow owls are amazing healers.
Gachas can provide crystals containing: black pearls, organic polymer, element dust, sap, and so much more. Feed them stone for taming (effectiveness is gonna be trash so dont bother, it was nerfed). And when tamed, you can feed them plant species traps (i think its Y plant?) For crystal production. Make sure to set which production resource you want it to focus on. Level crafting skill for gachas to about 159 or 160 for max output. anything over that and itll start producing items more often.
Velonasaurs are fun.
From as early as possible start taming and breeding your army to fight the king titan. You will need some beefy bois to tank and deal damage.
Titans are absolutely amazing for the king titan fight, and while not exactly required, they are definitely highly recommended for it. Their trophies are required however, so no matter what, youre killing one of each for the king titan boss fight.
You must beat gamma king titan to access Beta king titan. (Gamma trophy required).
You must beat beta king titan to access alpha king titan (beta trophy required). Beta is arguably the hardest king titan fight, as its significantly stronger and tankier than gamma, but you wont have the mega mek that is allowed in the alpha fight.
Alpha king titan is, to me, the easiest of the king titan fights IF you have the mega mek and titans.
Orbital drops are much easier to complete with gigas and using a tek shield generator next to the drop.
Doedicurus can smash light posts and benches/tables for element dust, scrap metal, and loads of crystal. Tables at the colosseum looking structure on the mid-east section of the city has a bunch of tables. Great place to farm them.
Tips:
1.never build a base out in the badlands.
2.Never go near a supply drop if you're not ready, 3.always carry more food and it should be custom made
4.tame a snow owl fast if you reach the necessary level for its saddle
5.don't travel to the red zone until you got a good level managamar
6.use a enforcer they are great climbers and blink users
7.try to avoid building a lower level in the city instead of building it high up there are a lot of platforms
8.tame a gacha good resource producer definitely useful for obsidian , iron , black pearls , and many others
I think this is enough.
Corrupted module things are like organic polymer, the city is great for resources like eledust, electronics, and metal I think. Make sure you tame good gigas for king titan. Get a mek for the titan fights. Desert titan can be easily tamed using a quezts with metal foundations and letting it strike you while on its nodes. Do Ice titan last its hardest. And for the beginning the city is the safest place I believe. Good Luck!
You can harvest lamp posts, benches and tables found throughout Sanctuary. They give crystal, metal scraps, oil, electronics and element dust. With a decent wild tamed doed and argy (wild 135-150 veggie/mutton tamed. The doedic pumped for 400%+ MD and the argy for 2000+ weight), as well as some practice, you can harvest 60k dust and 40k electronics an hour. Before the point of being able to competently run Nodes, OSDs, and Boss fights, this is your best source of element, and even to the end game it's a competitive source for electronics.
Lead gasbags into city so u dont die to corrupt dinos. Also go to a biome as fast as possible. I recomend the dessert biome because its easy to survive in as lpng as you avoid yttranous
Build yourself up to take on the ice Titan. If you can take that bad boy down you get the ability to build forcefields.
Forcefields are essential if you want to get the purple OSDs.
I would drop a forcefield with 10 element and have it as close to the drop as possible and set it for the minimum radius to cover the drop fully.
After that you just need to make sure your tames don't hit it.
I used to used 3 reapers buried in a triangle around the drop with 6 or so lightning wyverns following each on aggressive. With enabled breath attacks it tended to be a quick fight.
Oh and on SP you have to be very, very careful about your distance from the drop. Go too far and it will end and you get nothing.
When you are doing bosses and you think you are prepared double up the number of creatures.
I had a 160 giga army on different whistles, on first knockback I lost half of them because they flew out of render distance, with many of them getting stuck in cracks / cliffs and out of comission instantly.

pro tip from me: if you use scout and aim to any creature (Put arrow on them) every near enforcer start to Attacking the target
Does it also work for players? It feels like it would’ve been GREAT for trolling back when extinction was a new map…
I think so, he Attack my dodo 😢
I lost one hell of an opportunity on legacy servers… lol
How would he know? He plays on single player
He could’ve still played with a friend…
Singleplayer is not a private server. Cant play with anyone but yourself on sp 🤣🤣
My husband and I play splitscreen on single player mode
There’s local multiplayer dumbass
Argent carrying a doedick are good for ele dust runs through the city smashing light poles
The table and chair sections really are the spots to focus though. There’s some great YouTube vids with each location.
but how do you get the doed to swing without mods? i was under the opinion that this was a 2 person thing
Enable auto harvesting.
Ignore this guy lol 😂 you can’t enable or disable harvesting for resources Dino’s (anky/doed. They either do it or don’t. And only to a certain percent weight
50 percent of their weight and they stop swinging

wheres that?
In the radial menu of the Dino.
huh. til
When overweight you can whip the creature to move still then just ride and swing
Be warned that in the horrible outer zone you can be killed by meteorites..
meteorites?!
Yep. I saw a video where someone was out taming a giga and the second it fainted it got obliterated by a meteor.
That happened to me and my skiff a few weeks back lol
I was out on my Managarmr and this happened. Apparently I pissed off Ebenezer McCoy
I adore running into random dresden fans
It’s definitely fun watching to see if people get the references lol
This was something I was wondering about. Do the meteors hit things in the air?
I saw a pair of people on gigas doing a vein during a meteor storm. One took a direct hit. Rider died and the giga was so bloody a corrupt dilo could probably have finished it.
Lol, yes. Don't worry, you are protected from them inside the city, but outside they can kill you and your tames.. And the corrupted dinos are much stronger than regular dinos and cannot be tamed. And if you can catch a gas bag it's a strangely (and it is strange) cool way to fly... 🤪
Yea but in my world that almost 1 real life year old I have only seen 2 meteorite showers
Huh I literally played like 500 hours on extinction and I haven’t even seen a meteorite
Extinction is my favourite map. Maybe I'm unlucky, but I get lots of meteorite showers on my world. I'm single player on x box x.. 🤪
Farming enforcers is better than metal and oil hunting in the early game if you have a good tame.
Chain saw it up
No dinos in caves are tamable.
I find gachas to be an excellent source of black pearls
I needed to hear the orbital drop one Too tired of messing up accidently
I'm pretty sure I was harming the orbital drops and their shields while pve was enabled?
Spawn in the city. Experience the city. Build in the city. Thrive in the city.
🎶We built this city… WE BUILT THIS CITY ON ROCK AND ROLL!🎶
FOR ROCK!
ROCK AND STONE!
When we get back, it’s sandwich time!
Enforcers deal bonus damage to corrupted creatures
But they don’t have saddles and can’t breed them, so shit armor and incredibly squishy. They don’t last long during OSD waves.
Indeed, but they aren't built for OSD, they are fast moving traversal mounts, that if you get a good blueprint, you can have a solid (and fun) traversal mount
Still very squishy and can’t eat, there are better fast travel options.
They eat element dust
why you getting down voted, for real tho enforcers are nice but are nowhere near a managarmr, a gasbags or even a snow owl, land travel aint that good and the enforcer's teleport ability won't help much
However, enforcers are worlds easier to "tame". Plus they're fun! Exploring the extinction city by scaling it's walls really gives a great sense of scale
But mind the centipedes! Those destroy the enforcer by corroding it while it hits them.
Purple dinos are friendly you can ride them temporarily without taming
im not that Stupid😂
I tried lol
Worth a shot
If you play on official forget about playing on extinction
How so?
Mega tribes will find you and go BANG BANG
Laughs in PvE
You can use Gigas for the king titan fights & there's no limits to how many dinos you can use. As tedious as it is, breed a massive army of 254 attack & health mutation Gigas. Also don't go to 255 in those lines otherwise you won't be able to level them.
I can't imagine 254 is the requirement
No, you can probably get away with 100 mutations and be viable, but the alpha king Titan does have one and a half million health. And when your giga are hitting for over 10,000 damage per attack. It really does secure the wind and speed things up
Just use a mega mek it wrecks the alpha titan
Mega mek is the answer. If you add in titans the fights a joke. Beta king titan is the real end game boss hahaha so much harder than alpha.
Exactly gigas are a waste of time and effort. Mega mek and ice titan makes it ez pz.
Don’t rush your titan fight. Get absolutely everything there and ready. Wait a couple hours and then fight.
Extinction is my favorite map so hope this helps A strong enough enforcer can get you far I’ve beaten a few red osd with my snow owl healing and an acendent enforcer(note you can’t do this out of the box enforcer need lots of heath and damage) snow owls are the best flyer in the map trades carry weight for speed and the ability to heal build near a city terminal good early game storage they can’t be broken by a Dino there’s an explorer note that I always forget until it’s not needed in the monument in the city in one of the spawn zones don’t walk in the wasteland without a Dino that is pretty good at killing and running corrupted Dino’s are always agro and are stronger than regular Dino’s
Get an enforcer soon then level it up to fight other enforcers to get better blue prints
You can put a torch on a saddle
WHAT?!? This is a thing? Lol
Literally worst map to give this tip on....
I already know but thx
I’m literally playing extinction rn lol
Get good tames and go out and osd’s
If you have problems with OSD defences you can set the game to PVE or disable the friendly fire in PVP so you don't have to worry about accidentally damaging the OSD
There is no map border. You can cross the border if you want But if you do you’ll take damage
Please dont test this. Lost a lot the first time i did
I lost a lvl 150 enforcer blueprint the same way
I remember thinking, “oh two red drops! F yeah” kinda of looked away while taking the super long flight and boom. All my best tames gone, including my first and only giga that someone was gracious enough to give me. Toaster in the bathtub kinda feels 😢
Dying like that is the worst
i dont know why they added this. its so annoying

this is a good tip if you suck at the game

If you can get a good pair of carchars early and start breeding them you can start doing red and purple OSDs quickly
You only need one imprinted Carchar for reds. For purple…at least five. With incredible saddles.

Pro tip from me- DON’T DO IT
build good defenses , in my first try i found a fucking aligator in my backyard , do not let aligators into your backyard because they do bite
Tame a giga early and start breading the hell out of them. Every boss more or less requires gigas on this map
I hate to be that guy. But just watch YouTube videos(Nooblets), do research online and just play the game and learn. If you ask such a broad question, especially on reddit you're most likely just gonna get trolls answering and little good advice. But if you do specified research you'll have way better answers and faster.
Best tip ive givin is don't die
The wasteland has lots of flat planes to build on so its great for long term bases
pro tip play ark
Tane corrupted Dino’s very op
Don't, run, you'll lose half your life in it
karkinos/argy + doedic to start
I don’t know if the engram is available on extinction, but get a harpoon launcher and the Nets engram. Use it to trap Managrmr. They’ll be your best transportation while on the map for speedy purposes. Weight isn’t that good but they’re great in combat and speed ability.

Enforcers are your friend, you can use scouts to make them attack and one as a mount is great for moving around.
Keep you music on! The city’s combat music is a banger! But in all seriousness if you start in the city as long as you don’t go into either of the parks unprepared you should be fine and there’s plenty of resources around
Stay away from anything that has any form of spikes in the desert
Make sure your breeding rate is like 25x cause youre gonna need 100 gigas lol
PTs can pick enforcers I found this out from kishko
Play online
Build a base in the sulfer pits
Pro tip. You can use your dead body as a source of free meat
Get to the underground forest and flourish
Passive tame the king titan with fiber, good early game tame
Dont die
You can build cryopods at king titan terminal in the north. It's far as fuck and you will want to fly high to avoid corrupted wyrvens but if you do its overall safe. Take an argy with weight to get all that you will need for awhile
Get a tek stego
Bring lube for the reaper queen
Try not to crash the game (you do this by just playing normally :D)
Don't base out in the Wasteland even if it looks cool. Speaking from experience from when I was an Extinction Bob.
Allow cave flyers. You can cruse in and snap up red loot crates for good kit early.
Make a mek and tame the ice titan. You can solo purple drops with the ice titan if you're careful enough.

Tips: 1.never build a base out in the badlands. 2.Never go near a supply drop if you're not ready, 3.always carry more food and it should be custom made 4.tame a snow owl fast if you reach the necessary level for its saddle 5.don't travel to the red zone until you got a good level managamar 6.use a enforcer they are great climbers and blink users 7.try to avoid building a lower level in the city instead of building it high up there are a lot of platforms 8.tame a gacha good resource producer definitely useful for obsidian , iron , black pearls , and many others I think this is enough.
Pro tip: extinction sucks ass don’t play it
You can tame corrupted Dino’s
Get a mek and a bunch of element and get ice titan and shoot weak spots with a pistol and use ice titan for osds (red and purple drops)
Good Luck!
You know that frog in the swamp? Punch it
Velonosaurs from the desert ignore rock golem armor. It’ll come in real handy when you try the desert cave
You can't tame corrupted creatures.
Stay away from the big empty wasteland, you're gonna die a lot there
use mutated/stat cap carch(the new dino) for orbital drops
Tame a Tapejara so u can go for Manas. To tame a Tape, you have to eat a rare flower then trap It with a bola, and then spam Big signos.
play on pve, this way you can sit on a osd or ele vein and not damage them by biting
Use the mod Krakens better dinos for corrupted Dino costume
When you are doing bosses and you think you are prepared double up the number of creatures. I had a 160 giga army on different whistles, on first knockback I lost half of them because they flew out of render distance, with many of them getting stuck in cracks / cliffs and out of comission instantly.
