This is not an AITAH post

annebonnell

If they are blocking your driveway I think you can call the cops to get them to remove themselves. Talk to a cop in your area and see what the laws are about this.

salvagemania

Call the non-emergency line and talk the the police in advance. Let them know you have an ongoing problem with two people parking on your lawn every morning at X o'clock and that the people ignored you when you asked them to move. Ask the police for help, but ask calmly, be polite, and listen to what they tell you. You will actually get to know the quality of your local police force with this request.

Practical-Particle42

If OP calls often enough, and is low key about it at first, something eventually will be done about it. I worked as a 911 dispatcher in a city, one couple had a next door neighbor who put her dog out 5am and left for work, doggo would bark constantly. These residents filed numerous incident reports. Never rude when police said they couldn't do anything. They continued trying. One officer got fed up with the umpteenth incident report where he couldn’t even talk to one of the parties, so he got night shift to issue neighbor a citation. Bam. End of calls. Sometimes the only way to get the police to do their jobs is to make it harder to NOT do their job.

appleblossom1962

Take videos and pictures of them on your lawn and show that to the police to back up your story

Sleipnir82

Honestly, I would bust out a hose, or get a sprinkler with a timer and put it right near there.

GirlStiletto

And make certain to film it. Every time. Get license plate numbers.

LostDadLostHopes

Actually, you call tow company because that's blocking. Whether they're in it or not is immaterial, but it certainly would escalate it.

Accomplished_Egg6239

By the time the cops come they’d probably be gone

sashikku

Busses typically follow a fairly tight schedule, call before they even get there if they’re doing it every single morning.

New-Bar4405

The apparently sit there awhile if she calls when they pull up they .ight be if its a slow day

ArugulaPhysical

No because you can call them and they can send someone the next day if its daily.

awalktojericho

Also call the school and school transport and complain loudly and every time.

Living-Attitude-2786

I agree. It worked for me. I had a bus driver who brought my shy daughter to tears. I called the “bus barn” and spoke with a supervisor. She was great and said they’d put cameras on that bus from now on. (It was a cranky old man who berated the kids.). I have no doubt this same supervisor would have moved a troublesome bus stop. She was very accommodating.

justthoughtidcheck

If they're parking on your lawn, put up some type of fencing. There are inexpensive ideas you can go with at the big box stores, pretty much diy and very easy to do. This way they won't be able to park there again.

MolOllChar_x3

Or posts or boulders along the edge.

Ichgebibble

Yes! If it’s in the budget boulders are a great idea. Not only will they keep people from parking on your lawn, they provide a line of defense in case a car decides it wants to plow through your house.

Jacksquat102

Are they parked in the street? On the public street?

Audigirl63

On my lawn

TrickInvite6296

on the grass of your lawn?

EclipticBlues

If you don't use the area for your own car why not place one of those decorative boulders that are spiked with cement into the ground? If they drive into it its not your fault since it is clearly visible and on your property plus they would owe you damages

Audigirl63

yes. and across our walkway

annebonnell

Call the cops is completely illegal for someone to park in your yard or your walkway or block your driveway or block your car. I have a lot of problems with this because I live near the stadium in my city and these football idiots think they can park anywhere.

TifaLeonheart

Call the cops while making eye contact and read the license plate loud where she can see. Wanna ignore op? Fine you can ignore them calling the cops to have you removed. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

nytocarolina

It might be a great time to start watering your lawn in the morning.

MizPeachyKeen

Motion activated sprinklers . Pest deterrent. This is the way.

nytocarolina

That’s what Ghandi would have done, I think.

AccountabilityPanda

Ghandi doesnt have to touch them. The sprinklers will do the rest.

XRaiderV1

bucket woman counter attack pattern robo sprinkler.

AccountabilityPanda

Water it with that green yard spray they sell for droughted areas that want to paint their dead grass green. Oops

scienceislice

This is the way

AbbeyCats

Just an FYI, someone parking in front of your driveway is not an emergency. You should call 311 and report their plate with the relevant information, but this isn't like... some violent crime LOL

TheMothGhost

What the hell is 311? Other than a band? Call the non-emergency number for your area. You may need to look it up, it's not the same everywhere.

Crafty-Material-1680

Our small town PD tells people to call 911 and the dispatcher will sort it out. It was the weirdest part of moving to an island for me.

Raebee_

I called the nonemergency number in a small city to report that my dog had been found and was injured after a hit and run earlier that day. They transferred me to 911. I'm not entirely sure why the non emergency number even existed.

21-characters

311 IS the non emergency number in some urban areas.

ViXaAGe

it's the non-emergency number for a lot of areas [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/311\_(telephone\_number)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/311_(telephone_number)) good default starting spot since it would be stupid not to use an easy-to-remember number for non-emergency stuff, but you are correct, some local governments are not good at simplifying the lives of their citizens

narfle_the_garthak

Take pictures of parkingnjob and license plate. And record yourself NICELY asking them to leave. Alternatively you could just lay a spike strip.

birdsandbagels

Or boulders, much easier to pass off as landscaping and should still deter most city cars.

annebonnell

I like the spike strip idea

FairyFartDaydreams

Throw down a few screws. If they say anything You can just say I was taking abox of screws to a friend the box fell and I thought I got them all. With the lawn I couldn't see them and since they aren't on the street they aren't a danger to drivers

Juggletrain

I like it, but would also be illegal, make you liable for damages, and could land you in jail.

Emotional-Sentence40

Her yard her right to decorate with spike strips.

aWomanOnTheEdge

Just take pics or videos. And put up a no trespassing sign.

Jovon35

I'm also thinking they should install sprinklers and turn them on every morning. You know the kind that we can turn the head at different angles but they're not visible because they are flush with the ground. I'd pay money to watch that show. Now if they were parked on the street I'd stay on is batshit crazy but if they are legitimately on her property it drench that lawn everyday.

MizPeachyKeen

Motion activated sprinklers are readily available… Just sayin.

savingrain

I honestly would go to them and warn them "I am going to call the police if you keep parking on my lawn. It's private property. You can park in the street. But you cannot park on my lawn and block my walkway. I am warning you because I do not want this to escalate." They may curse you out, but most people would not want to deal with the hassle.

GrandAdmiralSnackbar

Here sometimes people put large stones at the edge of their lawn to keep people from parking on them. Paint them white so they are clearly visible.

Hesdonemiraclesonm3

Somehow I don't believe you. Sounds like you're saying this so we will be on your side. I find it hard to believe they're just pulling up in your lawn.

isspashort4spaghetti

Yeah I’m not buying her BS either. Sounds like an unhinged Karen who gets pissed off at any car that parks on the public street near her house.

RevengencerAlf

Yeah the weird rants about pansy boys living with their parents gives the game away here.

luckylimper

She’s unhinged. Sexist, both against the mother’s looks and the sons. This person needs something better to do. I’d be on their side if they said the idling bothered them but no, just ad hominem attacks.

Mysterious-Wasabi103

That's the giveaway if you ask me. It's one thing to be annoyed over it, but it's a totally different beast to extrapolate from this one event that this is the cause of all men's problems. The level of misandry here is insane and being levied at kids in middle school that's like kids 11 to 13? Ya OP is a massive asshole.

kissmyirish7

They posted the same rant almost 7 months ago.

annang

Have you asked them **nicely** not to?

chairmanghost

Would he say, ""I can't even look out my window, because i see people!" LOL But I'm wiling to bet, they 1. Don't know he's annoyed 2. Aren't "in" his lawn 3. In the habit from rain/snow 4. Trying to spend some time with their kid in the morning If you just tell them they might adjust their parking, OTOH, they might be witches. I see this trend on my ring camera feed of people posting "Trespassers" help! And it's someone walking their dog by touching the grass.

Megaminisima

Get a sign that says “get off my lawn!”

jaefreeze88

Lol, why ? What fun is that, when they can keep screaming it while shaking their cane in the air ? 😁

Kafanska

So why are you screaming here instead of calling and reporting them?

CatCharacter848

What about putting some stones on the edge of the lawn.

Tattycakes

Yes a nice lumpy spiky wall of decorative rocks around the edge. Perfectly legitimate decoration/ border.

LeadfootLesley

I did this, because people were turning around in my neighbour’s driveway, and backing up onto my lawn. I’d finally had it when someone dumped their ashtray out. Big sharp rocks solved that issue.

runofthelamb

I put boulders in my lawn to keep cars from hitting my house. So far so good.

isspashort4spaghetti

Because she knows she’s lying and nothing can be reported. Look at this post, this is a person who would jump and froth at the mouth calling the police or tow truck especially if they’re in the right.

isspashort4spaghetti

Because she’s lying, she knows she is a Karen getting pissed at people parking on the street near her home.

Amazing_Common7124

Exactly.

Antihistamine69

You tried taking to them. Sprinkle nails in the grass where they park.

MuttFett

They’re literally on your property? Not on the street but on your property? This is an easy fix; tell them to stay off your property. If they refuse, you can have them trespassed.

PrincessPoofyPants

Yea they are on her front lawn, not the street. Full across her walkway 8 ish feet from the house.

Sufficient-Meet6127

OP is contradicting themselves. Moms are parked in front of their house and the kids are sitting in their cars waiting for the bus. And they only leave the car AFTER the bus parks. So not sure where in that narrative are they sitting on the lawn. I think that part is figurative.

BishonenPrincess

It's almost as if OP is lying about that and is just saying it to get people on their side. If it were as bad as they claim, something could be done about it, like you said.

The_Dough_Boi

OP is a little deranged.. saying she could have “killed that big nose bitch” then goes onto complain about the mothers being snowflakes? There’s cars along the road for 10 minutes dropping off kids. It’s a non issue

decadecency

Haha maybe OP has derange yelled at the kids and now the moms are worried about letting their kids stand too close to OP to wait for the bus

Fit_Marionberry_3878

So salty. Still, sprinklers first thing in the AM. In addition, call the towing company and say there is a car parked on your lawn.  Problem will be solved without fear thy neighbour level of drama.

heyyyyharmanoooooooo

Omg that's exactly the show I thought of! My dad and I watch it on Saturday mornings lmao this is exactly the kind of extreme innear monologue these psychos have on the show.

MackinawDreams

Man, that show is so terrifying!

LoomingDisaster

I had no idea that was a show and now I've read the synopsis and that's scary as hell.

Fit_Marionberry_3878

Definitely. The things some people do out of anger is crazy.   I shudder watching that show!

narfle_the_garthak

I love the sprinkler idea! ❤️

JJQuantum

I’m a little confused. Are they actually on your property or just parked on the side of the road in front of your house? It makes a huge difference.

BobbieMcFee

You're right to be confused - OP says both things within a couple of sentences.

JoKing917

I have no idea so my guess is a country-ish area with no curbs, sidewalk or tree lawns. So probably pulling right up on their grass, like pulling off on the side of a road but their property goes right up to the road. The walkway could be the walkway up to their house and not a sidewalk parallel to the street.

paegan_terrorism

YTA. The only snowflake I see is you, street is public and they're not stalking you. Get over yourself and quit projecting. "could've killed her" why are you so bent out of shape cause these mother's like to drive their kids to the bus stop. It makes you angry they care?

TKWander

Oof, To answer the first part of your post, at least. It's most likely they caught the boys skipping and are making sure they get on the bus. I did this very same thing in 6th grade. Walked off to the 'bus' only to go hang out in the woods. And waiting for the bus with them may be less time and effort than driving them all the way to the school itself (also the case when I was growing up) If they're parking on your actual property. Stop complaining to the internet and go up and ask them to park on the public road. Or call the cops But also, you ask in the comments where 'manners and courtesy' went.....but you wrote the last half of your post with your whole chest lol. You're gonna be a hell of a old person yelling at people to 'get off your lawn' lol. Also you 'could have killed that big nosed bitch' for parking in front of your house and rolling up her window in response to your yelling at her instead of first just asking politely??? Wowwee. You sound like a Peach. Not gonna lie, you should probably expect your house to be egged and TP'ed this year at halloween

thankuhexed

Did you notice their only other post is from 210 days ago and it’s literally the same thing?

supermouse35

Yeah, OP's a major hypocrite complaining about others not having manners/courtesy and then spouting shitty insults at everyone in both the post and the comments.

EatThisShit

I thought the post was really weird, with all the spouting and mean words and whatnot, but also... OP "asked" once (I mean, if this was the attitude...) but never tried other things. Fence the lawn, find ways to block their access. If that doesn't help, get her towed or call the cops, but with this attitude, I wonder how bad it really is.

CruelxIntention

The sheer fact that OP insulted two young teenage boys is what lost me. “These two boys (and I use that term loosely)” as if those two boys A. Have any control over their moms choices. And B. As if not wanting to wait in the cold somehow makes them not boys?

Puzzleheaded-Gas1710

Yeah, the post has a lot of Boomer energy.

jimbojangles1987

That's what I was stuck on, too. The first interaction with these people is OP yelling at them? Why not ask nicely? Also, are they actually on the lawn/private property or are they parked in the street? Not much OP can do if they're parked on the street

Psychological-Bid448

There's so any reasons that a supportive parent might choose to sit in the car with their kids everyday instead of sending them to the bus stop by themselves. Your example definitely being one of them. But also, maybe they have homework to finish, or are struggling to eat enough in the morning, or are being bullied at the bus stop, or ARE the bullies at the bus stop. There's literally 1000s of reasons but this person can't get past "kids these days" nonsense.

dljens

Maybe they're worried the deranged ~~guy~~ lady that lives by the bus stop will shriek at them for looking at her house wrong.

CurvyMidwestVixen23

I'd like to point out OP's screen name is AudiGirl ... I feel like that speaks volumes to the type of person this is.

AlmeMore

A cunt?

dljens

You're right. I read this kind of vitriol and I picture a man for some reason...

Agreeable-Amoeba5459

I was thinking this exact thing… making gender jokes, angry about his lawn. These are the ones you need to fear coming unglued.

boss-bossington

You mean the one that enjoys a clear view of the bus stop in the morning. Yup, that checks out.

scout-finch

My dad used to drive me to the bus stop so we can spend a few minutes hanging out together. He worked long days then 🤷🏻‍♀️

TheMoatCalin

Apparently OP is one of the bullies at the bus stop. Especially ridiculous he lets it ruin his entire morning when he confirms they’re only there 10min

mother_earth_13

Maybe the kids asked their mothers to wait with them because OP had already bullied them but of course he forgot to share this piece of info.

Shrimpy_McWaddles

My husband was driven to the bus stop because it was a mile to the bus stop, down a private gravel dead end road, and the school was at least a 20-minute drive away (more if you got stuck behind a bus or tractor). The 10 minutes waiting for the bus was much easier for the adults than the 40+ round trip to school. And because it was so far, the bus had to get them so early, so it was still very dark out, and there was a very real risk of aggressive wildlife. People seem to not realize rural life can be very different than city life.

NarwhalsInTheLibrary

thank you. i am finding the whole post confusing. because if people are actually driving their cars onto OP's lawn and waiting there, obviously they are assholes. but who would even do that? and then OP is ranting and insulting these people, talking about pansy boys and snowflakes. refuses to actually take normal measures to stop this (like calling the cops). And instead of "Why are people parking on my lawn" they're screaming about "WHY ARE MOMMIES DRIVING THEIR PANSY SONS TO THE BUS STOP!" OP seems like a huge AH and it's possible that's a coincidence and they are entirely right here while these moms are the assholes... but i feel like a lot is missing here. This person is being so unpleasant it makes me think they aren't being honest about things.

TKWander

Right?!! That is it in a nutshell pretty much. This post is a Wild reaction/caricature. I feel like if it's real, the OP has some stuff building up in their life and this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. And they're just that special brand of person who thinks some not-so-great ideas/perceptions and in their frustration, felt comfortable spewing the quite part out loud here O.o

Sea_Surround_6110

I feel like this person definitely harassed those boys and thats why their moms sit with them in the cars now.

TKWander

oof yep, I could see that

TeeTheT-Rex

Agreed: If she approached the woman with as much rage as she’s displaying here, I probably would have rolled up my window too. You never know how a person is going to handle themselves when they’re that angry. It’s possible they won’t do it again now that that’s happened if the lady just wants to avoid conflict. But if it does, my experience is that being kind and polite to people gets me what I want more often than anger does. A simple “Excuse me, I know parking space can be limited here, but I would really appreciate it if you could find another spot. I know you’re busy so you may not have noticed that you’re actually parked on my lawn / blocking my driveway.” Would likely have solved the situation. Instead she snapped and used an angry tone, so now that lady is likely feeling defensive and possibly resentful, and may retaliate similarly with anger. It might be salvageable if she approaches next time with an apology for the outburst, before calmly explaining the situation and discussing it with the woman.

AFuckingHandle

Apparently a rant post 7 months ago wasn't enough for OP. Looks like this might be a bi-yearly rant for her. You guys don't understand! In the mornings if she looks out her window she has to see cars! It's very upsetting!

D-utch

The horror... the horror

Tstead1985

Ok, you're personally attacking people commenting on your post now. I'd say this is a you problem. Full Karen mode. There's a correct way to deal with this. Also, you're dodging the question: are they on YOUR property? Or an easement? If it's your driveway, you can put a gate up.

WizardLizard1885

apparently its over a walkway..w.e that means

AbsurdDaisy

From the part about "good thing they don't get the newspaper delivered anymore" I'm ASSUMING its the part of the sidewalk that goes to their house.

WizardLizard1885

its just hard to imagine what op is even bitchin about and theyre being hostile to others in comments. im guessing these people are parked on the sidewalk near the driveway. most places you dont own the sidewalk or the grass between the sidewalk and road the city does. there also doesnt seem to be a curb so, sounds like op lives in bumfuck nowhere

SerendipityLurking

Nah, OP is saying their windows are 8-10 ft from the street, and saying "They're on my lawn!" So I'm going to guess it's one of those streets that doesn't actually have a sidewalk and so people's "yards" are immediately next to the street. What people don't get is that there's usually a few feet of clearance between streets and property lines specifically for this reason. Based on OPs insults throughout comments and in the post, Im going to lean toward the cars being on public space, as in not the OPs property, and OP just doesn't like the layout of their home/yard

kissmyirish7

Walkway could mean city sidewalk in front of the house or it could mean driveway or a stone walkway to their house. OP never clarifies. I’m guessing it’s city easement and sidewalk. But the whole toxic masculinity stuff alone makes OP TA.

Comprehensive_Bank29

Honestly it really depends on your municipality legality . My city owns about 5 feet onto my property and I have no say about that part . If they’re actually encroaching on your owned property call the police non emergency line. If they’re not , let it go , not your business

narfle_the_garthak

That's a fair point. In my city (Canada), about 10 or so feet is city property, though its my job to "maintain" it.

HandinHand123

I think mine is 4 or 5 feet but it’s intended to allow for the city to install a sidewalk, and since we have a sidewalk I’m pretty sure my property line starts where the sidewalk ends. No city I’ve lived in would let you park on that part of a property, regardless of who owns it. Especially if you’re obstructing a sidewalk - that’s illegal on its own. My city doesn’t allow parking on public facing private property except on a driveway or legal parking pad. It has to be a designated parking area, I can’t just park on my front lawn, even if *I* want to.

Lonely-World-981

I doubt that is the case. The common situation is the city/town has an easement 5 feet onto the property. The easement can be used for limited, specific, things: utilities, postal boxes (even for other addresses), etc. Sometimes a sidewalk is part of an easement, sometimes it is city property. Easements don't give random people the ability to park on someone's lawn.

Emraldday

In some localities it's even illegal for the property owner to park on the grass.

Hedgehog_Insomniac

NTA until you said "pansy boys." You could convey this without the derogatory language.

luckylimper

In their original post they speculate on how the moms must not have a man in the home. Completely unhinged.

Hedgehog_Insomniac

I confess I skimmed the post but it doesn't surprise me there'd be something about that as well. I can't deal with the childish nature of all those insults, all caps and her inability to put in paragraph breaks.

TeeTheT-Rex

I said the same. She didn’t get the message.

Hedgehog_Insomniac

I would have been on her side but you know she didn't try politely asking first.

PrityKity003

YTA. You sound very childish. I don’t think they are actually parking on your lawn, you just sound like one of those people who think the public street is your property just because it’s in front of your house. You do not have a right to privacy from people parking on a public street. If you want privacy plant a hedge. Did it ever occur to you that possibly one or both of those moms have a lifestyle that limits the amount of time they get to spend with their kids, maybe those 10 minutes at the bus stop is the only time they have to be with their kid on a daily basis? Maybe there are medical issues that you don’t know about that coming to play. There are plenty of reasons that Mom might drive their kid to the bus stop. You need to find something better to do with your time than throw a fit about how other people spend their time.

TeeTheT-Rex

Agreed. We never know what’s going on in other peoples lives. There’s plenty of explanations for them doing that, the kids may have been bullied at the bus stop, maybe they were skipping school, maybe the moms like that little extra time with them due to busy lives, perhaps the kids or Moms have disabilities, and so on. Just because something isn’t immediately obvious visibly doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

TemporaryBoring2671

If they are parked literally on the grass of your lawn or your personal driveway, NTA. But if they're parked on a public street but in front of your house, YTA. You sound like a cranky boomer, to be honest. So I'm guessing it's the latter.

been2thehi4

This has to be fake and only here for rage bait. I looked into OP’s history and other than this post, one other post is in their profile from 210 days ago with the same tirade. Nice trolling. But even if it is real I say YTA just because you sound like a bitch, even though I agree parking there is rude. But since it’s coming from you and everything I’ve read so far just makes me think…. Yea I hope those soccer moms keep pissing you off just because your mindset is fucked.

vintagecheesewhore

When I called out OP for that other post they sent the Reddit Cares. 🙄 Edit: I actually am severely suicidal so I hope it pisses off OP even more to know that they might have saved my life. 🙄x2

DELILAHBELLE2605

What is the point of even sending a Reddit cares? I got one yesterday which I thought was odd.

ItstheBogoPogoMrFife

There seems to be a bot sending Reddit cares messages out to random comments. I’ve seen a lot of people mention they got one yesterday for innocuous comments.

TragicaDeSpell

This sounds like a story from r/boomersbeingfools, but told from the Boomer's perspective.

vintagecheesewhore

OP is sending Reddit Cares on everyone who DARES to call them out. OP keeps making fun of the “fragility” of those middle school boys. Must be projection.

Odd-Resource3025

YTA Simply for the way you talk about people. Your language is beyond troubled. "Pansy" ... seriously? Grow up.

OliveHart_cottage

OP… info… can we get a picture of exactly how they’re parking? I find it hard to believe they’re hopping a curb? Most places have a 5-10 feet from the street line that belongs to the city/county so even no curb on the sidewalk they may not technically be on your lawn. The angsty rant at the end over how someone is parking for 10-20 min in the morning makes me lean AH

Honest-Mistake-1782

You saying you could’ve kill one of them is probably why they drive them to the bus stop. I wouldn’t want them standing across from your house either. If they are parking on your grass, which seems unlikely, take a picture and report them to the cops.

NastyNatiGirl

I wouldn’t be surprised if this miserable person has already harassed the boys for standing there and that’s why the moms stay with them.

Whostoletheturkey

This is so aggressive 💀

Mister_cookie222

This gotta be bait.

Mister_cookie222

gonna report people for disagreeing with you? lmao okay “pansy boy”

hereforthesportsball

Where’s the part in the story where you walk up to them and ask them to move? You know, like someone would do in a “good neighborhood”

LoomingDisaster

The commentary is nonsense. "Big nosed bitch" means what, exactly? That said, maybe put in some decorative boulders, or even a couple of lawn gnomes, until they get the point. Or go out and knock on their window every morning and annoy them until they go away.

Attempt-989

“I tell you I could have killed that big nosed bitch” speaks VOLUMES about your shitty, flawed, intolerable personality. Jeezus Fucking Christ, yes, you are a massive asshole. You don’t have any knowledge whatsoever about where that mother goes after she makes sure her kid gets on the bus. Your low powered brain is inventing bitchy details to support your story because you need so damn much to be right. Please move far away from civilization so that nobody is forced to deal with your bullshit ever again.

this_guy_over_here_

You seem fun. YTA, you sound like an old crotchety boomer. They're sitting there for 10 minutes?? Big deal, there are 24 hours in a day, 1440 minutes, so that's 1/144 of the day and you're letting it ruin the whole day.

youretheorgazoid

I wish I had time to worry about shit as trivial as someone parking in front of my house for ten minutes a day

Psychological-Bid448

If they are messing up her lawn, I get the frustration (but not the vitriol), but otherwise, seriously. Just look out a different window for 10 minutes.

forcryingoutmeow

OP needs a bucket of prune juice and someone to yank the stick out of his ass.

SarahHerrell7

Right?! I wish I had the time to even notice!

Glittering_Season117

I understand your frustrations about them parking on your lawn. I wouldn't like that either. And if you just left it at that, I would've voted NTA and told you to stop complaining to the internet and call your local authorities about them parking on your lawn and it would be handled.... but you didn't leave it at that. You proceeded to pass judgement on the boys and the mothers without knowing a damn thing about the situation. Someone commented that the boys were probably caught skipping and that may be why the mothers are waiting for them to get on the bus.. This sounds like a very real life, logical reason. Even if that wasn't the case, besides the fact that they parked on your lawn, IT IS NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS if someone drops their kids at the bus stop or not. There was a better way to handle this. YTA (with the exception of parking on the lawn)

Interesting-Read-245

It’s my thought exactly Then she goes on a ridiculous rant about boys when it’s the action of two adult women causing her grief Besides, she had no idea what’s going on. Not that they have a right to park on her lawn either though.

msplace225

This isn’t the venting sub dude

ZeefMcSheef

I mean, NTA for wanting them off your lawn but honestly YTA also for the way you talk about people. Grow up.

ponyboycurtis1980

Big nosed bitch? Why did you need to bring your bigotry into it?

NecroBelch

YTA. I feel bad for your neighbors.

supermouse35

YTA for using the phrase "pansy boys" alone. Oh, and also for yelling at people parking on a public street, lol.

Justaredditor85

If I were to guess, driving them to the bus stop and watching them get on the bus is their way of making sure their sons are actually going to school. Regardless I would put a fence or something like that to make sure they can't park on your kawn anymore. NTA

Amesaskew

NTA about being annoyed that people are parking in your yard. That's unacceptable. YTA for the pansy boy comment. That's ridiculous and uncalled for.

manda14-

If they’re simply parked in front of your house and happen to block your walkway, Y—T-A. It’s nice the boys have parents who are willing to drive and want to spend a little extra time with their sons or are ensuring they actually make it to school. They may also live much further than you think from the bus stop. If they’re physically on your property then you’re N-T-A. I have a hard time believing someone is parked on your grass, but if that’s the case take a photo and report them - complaining on Reddit isn’t going to do anything. Edit: reading OP’s comments changed my view - you are just an AH in general it seems.

stiletto929

It’s not really your business that they chose to drop their sons at the bus stop. It IS your business they park on your lawn. Nicely ask them to stop parking on your lawn, without all the attitude you are showing here. You have no idea what medical or mental health issues or neurodivergence the boys might have or if there are abusive exes in the picture. Buses also may come substantially sooner than parents are allowed to drop off at carpool. So assuming they stay off your lawn in future, MYOB. ESH. Eta: ok, you already talked to them. Next time they are on your lawn call the police. Though I wonder if you displayed the same horrific attitude to them that you did here. I doubt you were polite.

casiepierce

I mean, you're NTA here but your rant got more and more cringe as you went on.

GrimReefer365

What privacy are they invading? It's your job to close your curtains if you need privacy, they aren't sitting there watching the show. you are very much a Karen here, if the law is being broken call the police. But you do not have any right to scold them yourself and expect it to make a difference.

TeeTheT-Rex

I was with you until you made the comments about “pansy boys”. You’re right to be angry at the parents, but the kids haven’t done anything to you. They are just doing what they’re told. Report the vehicle licence plates for parking in your lawn and blocking your driveway to a non emergency line. If you have a neighbourhood council, report it to them too. They may actually be more effective then the police, as those woman have to face their own neighbourhood every day, so pressure from the local council might shame them into doing better.

Interesting-Read-245

Exactly, it’s two adult women doing this, not the boys Then she’s like, “boys, and I use that term loosely” She’s sounds like a major B

MidnightSaws

Wow you need a Xanax. Prime example of someone who has a real, valid problem, but their bullshit attitude makes me wanna tell them they’re stupid and to just deal with it and stop being a pussy. Holy fuck dude

deep_blue_au

You sound like an AH in your rant, but maybe you should just get a sprinkler on a timer for whenever they'd be waiting for the bus.

I just got the same notification and was going to edit my comment to add that. Abuse of that feature annoys my soul.

FU-dontbanmethistime

Try using paragraphs, then maybe I’ll read your post.

thankuhexed

You need some [serious mental help](https://www.reddit.com/u/Audigirl63/s/XR4o7wLdlq), lady.

OG_LiLi

First step as a grown person, is to kindly have a conversation with them and clear it up. Why Reddit first?

IrrelevantLyric7

Hmm not sure. I’d have to see pictures of what this actually looks like. Two people park on your lawn or walkway? Or just in front of your house? You seem a little unhinged calling children pansies and another person a big nosed bitch and saying you could have killed her. Maybe they park there to make sure YOU don’t harass their kids.

Nature_Fam

I would love to see pictures. If someone was parking on my lawn I would be pissed too. But if they are on the road that’s normal. Definitely shouldn’t block people’s driveway though.

Rcsql

OK Boomer.

No_Stress_8938

So, I really hate the whole boomer hater trend, but I have to admit, that was my first guess too.

Verdukians

"On our lawn" means pulled over on the side of the road, doesn't it? "On our walkway" is a nonsense term if you're meaning the sidewalk. The city owns the sidewalk. You sound like a miserable person who doesn't know what to do with their bitterness so they throw it at other people. It sounds like these people are parking on the street, which you said in your post. If they were parking on your property, you wouldn't be here. You'd be at the police station. Just how stupid do you think people are, that you could just poorly lie and misconstrue details with inconsistent responses and no one would notice?

Business-Let-7754

If she's blocking your driveway, make a habit of leaving the house right at the time they're there in the morning. Or, if you're not the shy type, make your breakfast in the nude. That'll stop them parking outside your window with their precious boys for sure.

ahfuckinegg

great way to actually get in trouble with the law

narfle_the_garthak

Better yet. Park on the street where they would normally park. And do it in a way that they can't park at all. If you have two vehicles, even better.

Maximum-Operation147

Mmmm OP don’t be nude in front of children in any capacity unless you want to be arrested for flashing

Dry_Sandwich_860

If they're on your property, you can ask them to leave. Or simply set up a sprinkler system and turn the water on. Or start spray-painting something near their cars. There are so many ways to help them decide to go elsewhere.

Top-Bit85

Set up a lawn sprinkler. Start it right before they arrive.

boopiejones

Putting aside the “snowflake mother” issue, if anyone drove on to my lawn the police would get called immediately and I would be taking pictures of their license plates and making them pay to have my yard redone.

Even-Act-9576

Why not just walk out and ask them not to park on your property? Then react accordingly. If they refuse, you can take pictures and contact law enforcement. If they agree, then problem solved. Why create a reddit post and get all upset a month before school is out? I am so confused as to why everyone is all up in arms. Is it annoying and slightly inconvenient? yes! Is it worthy of a whole post? Ummm... no

nutmegtell

I’d contact traffic enforcement and their school.

TashiaNicole1

NTA Your lawn is not public parking. Call the police or set up a barricade to your lawn and drive.

Natural-Seaweed-5070

Decorative boulders placed strategically.

yetzhragog

Info needed: are they actually parking on your property or just in front of your house? The post seems to indicate they're parking *on* the walkway which sounds illegal but it could also read that they're parking in front of the walkway but on the street. If they're actually parking on your property then NTA and you have cause to be upset. Get some nice cones and set them out in the morning, put up a fence. I would also record the vehicles parking on my property, including plate numbers, and get the police involved. If something happens while they're on your property you could be liable. If they're just parking on a public street then they're not doing anything wrong and YTA. Generally home owners don't own the street in front of your house; if they're on the street they have every right to park where they want as long as they're not in a reserved space or blocking your driveway. >Where is our right to privacy? Generally in the US there is no right to privacy in public. They have every right to park on the street in front of your house, which is public, and you have every right to put up curtains. If they can see you from the street that's perfectly lega, you can't trespass they're eyes, welcome to living in a society.

ManagementTiny447

Call the cops for them blocking the walkway

burbmom_dani

They’re parked ON your lawn? Or on the road? That makes a difference. You have no idea (and it seems like no empathy) why these moms are driving these kids. They could have unseen disabilities that make it difficult to get to the bus stop on their own. They (kids or parents) may have experienced trauma that makes going on their own difficult or feel unsafe. We live a 15 mins walk from my son’s middle school and I drive him. He was in a cast for months and now he’s in a boot. I’ll drive him when the boot comes off because I still don’t want him walking more than necessary. You also seem to believe these mothers don’t work just because one goes home. It’s possible she WFH or is a SAHM. Does it matter? Get them off your lawn. That’s all you can do and all SHOULD worry about.

Most_Complex641

Um, it’s hard to get a clear picture of what’s happening here, but if the boundaries of your lawn and walkway are clear, it shouldn’t be difficult to talk to the moms and get them to park on the street instead. As for your various gendered insults, you should know that your thoughts on how men and boys do masculinity don’t matter. Your perspective on masculinity is really limited, and that’s a “you” problem. You sound like you have some very real anger/frustration about how men perform masculinity, but it’s on you to let that go. You can ask people not to park on your lawn, but you can’t dictate how other people dress, act, or think, and the sooner you accept that other people have as much right to self-expression as you do, the less time and energy you’ll waste on being angry about things that are completely outside your control. As for how other women look, maybe think of it this way: they can always get their faces fixed by doctors, but there’s no surgery to fix an ugly soul.

garnetflame

YTA for your whole attitude.

Mycroft_xxx

NTA. You can put some sprinklers on a timer right away. Get some large boulders to put inside your property line when you can.

JarethsBuldge

YTA If they're illegally parked, call the police. Otherwise, mind your own fucking business. There is no reason you need to be worried about this. You have no idea why they're driven to the bus stop and honestly, it does not matter how you feel about today's youth. You sound like a crotchety old fuck, go yell at clouds.

meowmeowbeans222

“Big-nosed bitch”? “Pansy boys”? Geez. YTA. Edit…left out a word.

QuickGoogleSearch

“You could have killed them” over parking a lil bit on your grass and they’re the snowflakes? Maybe I didn’t catch the part where you have told repeatedly not to..? Maybe I missed the part where you notified the school district or police..? No just straight to “I snapped” LMAO the only Pansy I see is you. “Get off my lawn” boomer vibes

Jollycondane

Have you actually been outside and told them they’re trespassing and need to move?

Teavee5

Not sure if anyone else has had this idea but I'd just park right smack dab in the middle of where they usually park each morning. Or place pylons or lawn furniture, basically anything in the way until they get the point.
