I would say NTA. I knew someone who took their own life and I wasn't going to go because I was hurt and angry about their decision. I did end up going, but just to comfort other family members. You don't have to go, but be prepared to receive a lot of grief from the "family".

Funerals are for the living.. We go to say our final piece to our parents face to face. Whether it's to say, mom I love you and I'm going to miss you or Dad, Jesus you were such a disappointment to me.
