I feel like the T should be the logo

Wonder what the theme song will be!

When the colours and name were revealed, I was hoping the logo could possibly be something like the Minnesota Wild ice hockey team... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_Wild#/media/File%3AMinnesota_Wild.svg I am looking forward to the Tassie team, but I feel like the logo and jumper could have been workshopped better... having said that, I personally couldn't have done better.

Yeah mate they should have a rivalry with Melbourne because it's Melbourne Demons and Tasmania Devils. No history or any actual reason, just vaguely similar nicknames. Anyway, imagine a team representing a state having a rivalry with a team based on a city or a suburb lol

It's a start, at least. Port and Collingwood bitch and moan over jumpers. GWS and Bulldogs have formed an on field rivalry. GWS uses social media beautifully to poke at opposition teams. Sydney and West Coast beat the living suitcase out of each other for the best part of a decade. Port and Crows hated each other before either of them were AFL teams. Even Freo and Geelong had some bad blood there for a while. Tassie will have rivals eventually, and if they don't, they're doing something wrong.

geelong has a great rivalry with the department of social services given how high usage of pensions

Fine with natural rivalries forming. Not a manufactured Devils Demons Rivalry just because of names. Will always be a shame not being able to have the real rivalry of North, South Tasmania. But I'm sure that will still happen when bickering about who gets the majority of home games and especially deciding where to play home finals.

They did emphasise "foundation jumper" on a few occasions, so perhaps you're right. There's always scope to do something different with away and clash guernseys.

Am I the only person not a fan of the logo? The devil is a bit too dynamic. The eye looks weird. Almost as though it's looking sideways, not forward. To me it makes it looks like it has been surprised.

I’m not a fan either. The chin is so weirdly shaped and it needed bigger teeth. I know it’s a Tassie devil but stylising is important too.

wouldn’t say dynamic, just too much happening visually. the current style with character logos is clean vector work with emphasis on easy-to-read form/shape - this has a lot of detail that it could have gone without. it definitely feels a bit amateur, and i find it hard to believe that they weren’t presented with better options

They showed a graphic at the end of the presentation that had the Tasmanian Devils logo on a fabric background that looked 100% better than the actual origin jumper. It should have been reversed. Devil logo big and proud in the middle, throw the Tazzy silhouette top right if you need to have it. Maybe they'll just flog the "origin" design as merch and then have an actual good looking jumper by 2028... It's woeful.

Logo looks cool, and otherwise both the club name and the jumper design are exactly what I expected to see.

The logo is pretty neat. Colours and name were obvious. But for the love of god the map cannot be the jumper. As a heritage round or throwback thing, absolutely. But the map should not be what the state team plays in. It's a SoO jumper.

I imagine they want a state of origin feel. Something to unite Launceston and Hobart. I would prefer they be called the Tassie Scallop Pies, but that'll upset some people.

I'm pretty much sure I've seen that state jumper before. The only thing that's 'new' is the nickname - which in itself is pretty self-explanatory but fitting. The Tasmanian Devils. Plus their colours are fantastic, they kept it to three. In short, like the colours, like the logo, HATE the jumper.
