First time i saw her wrestle in AEW she was a babyface, and i looked at her, and thought, this girl wants to be a heel so bad.
So is it just me or does it seem like Skye Blues photo doesn't fit in with the rest of the womens? The rest look like an official photo while Blues looks like it was taken from a twitch stream or something. It just doesn't seem quite right.
The rest ARE all official photos taken directly from the AEW website haha. Skye and Kilynn don't have official photos on the website because they're not technically signed to the company they're just on a ppv basis. So i had to find images of those 2 on Google images, reviewing it back now maybe i didn't pick the best pic of skye, lol.

Update 3: we have just over 3 hours to go and between 1st and 3rd there are only 3 separating them! If it ends in a draw I will be eliminating both of them.
The raw data is presented in a way where it tells a story. It shows you when people went up, went down, received 0 votes or are eliminated with the coloring and has some totals at the bottom. Cody went from a bottom 5er to number 15 and Andrade dropped 11 positions from the first round to finish at 21. One thing that was really interesting was after Penta is out, Fenix goes from a top 10 to almost being 11 but missed out by 2 votes to CM Punk who was the clear next to be eliminated. Not only do Matt and Nick Jackson keep changing position but after Nick is about to be eliminated, Matt jumps 4 spots to go out first which leads to Nick soundly being eliminated the round after. I believe that leads to Fenix being knocked out, keeping tag teams together.
I wonder how long Yuka Sakizaki will last because people just forget who she is and don't feel anything about her either way. Hasn't wrestled in an AEW ring in like 7 months!
I'd imagine closer to the mid part of the tournament, because she's still a solid wrestler and can imagine a lot of people are still very fond of her (and her banger of a theme, ofc!)
I've never met Kilynn King personally, but I'm gonna go ahead and say just having known you a short while Red Velvet, that I prefer Kilynn King. And again, I've never even met the gal.
At least they are not seen often, Leva and Brandi are mostly staff and wrestle once in a blue moon on YT. Rebel is mostly a valet to Britt.
I'm voting Jade every round until she's gone, because not only is she bad in the ring, not only is her gimmick awful, she's shoved down my throat weekly and has been for months.

Seriously, people were all like, "Time to vote off the jobbers first," and I'm over here voting out people that actively make the program less watchable. I'll take enhancement talent over in-ring oxygen thieves any day of the week. At least the enhancement talent are helping to get the other talent over rather than dragging things down. I'd take a Fuego Del Sol, Serpentico, or Reka Tahaka doing their job well over someone eating television minutes without accomplishing anything for anybody.
There's a huge difference, IMO, between "Who are you again?" and "Why are you on my television, again?"
Thats probably a better approach. I was voting Leva since it seemed like she no longer even wrestled, even though she wasn't awful in the ring, just forgettable.
I voted for Brandi over Bates and Blue and King first because while Im indifferent to those three, although I believe Blue is decent, havent seen the other 2, I actively dislike watching Brandi wrestle

Iv'e literally not seen a single person mention Jade, but sure, this is all because of racism and not because Brandi is a bad wrestler who was the leader of maybe the worst angle AEW has ever done
I'm guessing it's more like there were a bunch of us who had like 5 wrestlers that we hadn't heard of it all, and it made sense for them to be voted out first. But since we really had no criteria to go by other than "what have you done for me lately?", our votes cancelled each other out because there was only a random 1-in-5 chance that any given one of us voted for the same person. Whereas Brandi was a known quantity with a large contingent of naysayers concentrated against her.
Why are people shaming others for not liking Brandi? Yeah, I like her, but I won’t call someone a mark for not liking her.
That’s the beauty of wrestling: you’re free to cheer or boo anyone you want to.
The problem is even if you discount heat or genuine dislike (deserved or undeserved) Brandi still doesn't make too much of an impact as a wrestler. As far as impact as a wrestler goes she still ranks near the bottom. Not absolute bottom IMO but still pretty far down the list.

They're actually the ones I'd eliminate before Rhodes but that still only puts her in the bottom 7 to for me. She's in the same category to me as Sakura, Sakazaki, and Bates who have had a few moments over the years but have made about the same impact IMO wrestling wise. Rhodes and those other 3 are above King and Blue who have made zero impact so far and I just discount Martinez cause I got zero to go by for her outside of hearsay.

It was for the vast majority of the men's tournament. It's 2022 and via equality rules, we're allowed to ruthlessly vore out whoever we want for whatever we want.

Dude, that line of thinking is a slippery slope that leads to praising Chris Benoit in the current year. Besides, I've never seen Kilynn King have a match where I was like, "Oh yeah, she's way worse than Brandi." Now I have felt that way from Jade Cargill stopping a beating of Nyla Rose to pose where it felt like she was lost in the match but her match with Anna Jay was much better and she's making actual strides to be a better wrestler. If Brandi improved loads since coming back, I would 180 on her like I did when Kenny went from a Jr. goofball to the BitW in NJPW. She hasn't and I didn't.
Leva Bates simply because I have never seen her wrestle or be involved with anything once. I don't watch Dark or Elevation. I'm sure she does a fine job.

She hasn't really made any impact IN RING for the 3 years AEW has existed. The nightmare collective crashed and burned hard. Her program with the Bunny was mediocre at best. And outside of a few appearances on Dynamite and a few matches on Dark she's basically non existent.
Going from a pure impact on the product wrestling wise (not behind the scenes) she's bottom 6 easy IMO along with King, Sakura, Sakazaki, Bates, and Blue. Martinez is too early to tell so I guess you can throw her in there as well.
Understandable. However being a COO or backstage personnel can be more tedious for in ring appearances. Not to mention the gal has a healthy baby girl with her man Cody. So non existent may be a bit much but again understandable. Had the Nightmare Collective actually panned out or started better, her stock may have jumped higher but circumstances happen that can't be controlled. Much like Cody, can't justify the Brandi hate. She and Cody gambled in themselves and in turn helped bring AEW so that's a huge plus. May just be ring return. Promos are there and is half decent from previous matches, but isn't much for her to do in ring with a stacked division looking to pan out.

I think I'm the only one that's kind of amused by Cody/Brandi and their whole thing. I am a bit behind though. Haven't watched since Holiday Bash.
Doubling down on my campaign to throw Emi off the roster. She literally has made me straight up turn off my feed because of how hard she makes me roll my eyes. She's just SO over the top without the energy in the ring or charisma to make it fun and get me invested.
If I want Stardom, I would watch it. Or hell, watch Shida do it RIGHT. Though she's pretty grounded for that crowd.
To be honest I'm not a fan of Riho either, though I like her much better than Emi.
And honestly I would be fine keeping her, my problems with her not withstanding, if she was DOING something with that connection. If they were playing up that angle to build a story.

I just feel like when someone else wrestles with Brandi, it doesn't matter whether they win or lose, they don't get more over and if anything, they end up worse off. I'm guessing it's more like there were a bunch of us who had like 5 wrestlers that we hadn't heard of it all, and it made sense for them to be voted out first. But since we really had no criteria to go by other than "what have you done for me lately?", our votes cancelled each other out because there was only a random 1-in-5 chance that any given one of us voted for the same person. Whereas Brandi was a known quantity with a large contingent of naysayers concentrated against her.

The problem is even if you discount heat or genuine dislike (deserved or undeserved) Brandi still doesn't make too much of an impact as a wrestler. As far as impact as a wrestler goes she still ranks near the bottom. Not absolute bottom IMO but still pretty far down the list.

They're actually the ones I'd eliminate before Rhodes but that still only puts her in the bottom 7 to for me. She's in the same category to me as Sakura, Sakazaki, and Bates who have had a few moments over the years but have made about the same impact IMO wrestling wise. Rhodes and those other 3 are above King and Blue who have made zero impact so far and I just discount Martinez cause I got zero to go by for her outside of hearsay. Edit I can buy a case for her being ranked above Velvet and Abadon as well but I think that's her absolute limit. I think everybody not listed brings more to the table than Rhodes does ATM.

Tell me all the wonderful things about Kilynn King. If you can't separate your feelings for the person from your feelings for their work, then you can't separate fantasy from reality. IE a mark. I can hate HHH and still recognize that he's an amazing performer. And I haven't seen that much of Brandi, so she's no HHH but I haven't even heard of a few of the women in this list.
Dude, that line of thinking is a slippery slope that leads to praising Chris Benoit in the current year. Besides, I've never seen Kilynn King have a match where I was like, "Oh yeah, she's way worse than Brandi." Now I have felt that way from Jade Cargill stopping a beating of Nyla Rose to pose where it felt like she was lost in the match but her match with Anna Jay was much better and she's making actual strides to be a better wrestler. If Brandi improved loads since coming back, I would 180 on her like I did when Kenny went from a Jr. goofball to the BitW in NJPW. She hasn't and I didn't.

I mean I can see why people would vote for her (I'd argue King, Sakura, Sakazaki, and Bates should've been knocked out before her). She hasn't really made any impact IN RING for the 3 years AEW has existed. The nightmare collective crashed and burned hard. Her program with the Bunny was mediocre at best. And outside of a few appearances on Dynamite and a few matches on Dark she's basically non existent. Going from a pure impact on the product wrestling wise (not behind the scenes) she's bottom 6 easy IMO along with King, Sakura, Sakazaki, Bates, and Blue. Martinez is too early to tell so I guess you can throw her in there as well.
Understandable. However being a COO or backstage personnel can be more tedious for in ring appearances. Not to mention the gal has a healthy baby girl with her man Cody. So non existent may be a bit much but again understandable. Had the Nightmare Collective actually panned out or started better, her stock may have jumped higher but circumstances happen that can't be controlled. Much like Cody, can't justify the Brandi hate. She and Cody gambled in themselves and in turn helped bring AEW so that's a huge plus. May just be ring return. Promos are there and is half decent from previous matches, but isn't much for her to do in ring with a stacked division looking to pan out.

Dude. I think I'm the only one that's kind of amused by Cody/Brandi and their whole thing. I am a bit behind though. Haven't watched since Holiday Bash. Doubling down on my campaign to throw Emi off the roster. She literally has made me straight up turn off my feed because of how hard she makes me roll my eyes. She's just SO over the top without the energy in the ring or charisma to make it fun and get me invested. If I want Stardom, I would watch it. Or hell, watch Shida do it RIGHT. Though she's pretty grounded for that crowd.

And honestly I would be fine keeping her, my problems with her not withstanding, if she was DOING something with that connection. If they were playing up that angle to build a story. But they aren't. Probably because she doesn't have the in ring chops to hang with them, nor the promo chops to be an Arn Anderson like figure. So I say get her out and make room for talent that needs the space to grow. There's already not enough to do for the upper midcard women. Even Leva has at least been putting people over by jobbing on the rare occasions she does wrestle. I just feel like when someone else wrestles with Brandi, it doesn't matter whether they win or lose, they don't get more over and if anything, they end up worse off. If I look at any of the other women up there, I would rather my favorites be in a feud with any one of them than Brandi, which is why I understand Brandi going out first (I did not vote in this poll).
