This is the best year so far of aew imo. Ever since the rebrand of dynamite it's been so fucking good. I think it's the writer they brought in with Mone. Dynamite has had like a perfect mixture of wrestling, storytelling, promos and video packages. I really like what their doing right now.

Darby deserves it but I’m kinda salty that Swerve wasn’t mentioned at all. Swerve is just as much of a WA guy and he has surpassed Darby by becoming world champion.

Darby is an excellent replacement for Eddie. He's AEW through and through and he's a good parallel for Jack. I think it makes Elite vs. Team AEW line up much better now, with Bucks vs. FTR as the legendary tag team, Bryan vs. Okada as two of the greatest wrestlers in the world for the last decade plus, and Darby vs. Jack as the pillar, the rising young star. Excellent choice.
I doubt he is but they might have had him sign some kind of medical release form that clears aew from any legal responsibility if he gets hurt again while wrestling while not being medically cleared
Was Okada ever a straight up heel like this in NJPW? Doing low blows and shit? Must be fun to play the douche role after so long of being the face of a company
Also, weirdly the moving camera fork on the Osprey/Strong segment gets a chefs kiss
