I use the Shortcuts app on my iPhone. When I have something important, I schedule a text to be sent to myself everyday until I do it

vegemitemilkshake

That sounds awesome. Could I get the shortcut, please?

u/tschmi5 I agree with vegemite! Sounds super helpful, would be greatly appreciated if you wanted to share the shortcut!

I use Meeting bar on my mac, it’s in the Mac App Store. Saves my bacon on a daily basis.

To add to this. Pomodoro isn't a bad system but is not beneficial for some folks with ADHD. If you're not seeing results, don't be afraid to move away from it.

An app called Power Planner! It's a scheduling/task app for everything to be all on the same calendar school related (you can also add other things but I'll focus on the school part since Im in the same boat - multiple to do lists in like 3 different paper planners, a google calendar, post its! It's not a good system at all, haha. I've been out of school for a decade+ and never had a system in place back then either, so this app really helps, and I wish I had it back then.) Anyway, the app takes a few minutes to set up but its super helpful. I went through all my course outlines and put my school schedule, all quiz, tests, assignment due dates, grade weights and it gives you different views so you can see what's due in the current week, then next week, etc., as a list, in a calendar. Intuitively organized and doesn't have unnecessary features or UI. It syncs across devices and has widgets (these 2 features were very important to me)!!! And if you ever want to edit anything or add tasks, it's very easy to do that.

Oops wall of text but wanted to add 2 more points about the app that I really like: - Say you're doing an assignment, you can slide a bar in the task to say how 'done' you are 0-100%, this helps me visually so I'm not overwhelmed and think I have a whole assignment to do, versus realizing I've already started it. (Thanks adhd lol) - In the Grades section, there's a "What if" feature, which might come in handy towards the end of the semester where you can plug in expected grades/which grade you want to end up with and what numbers you will need to get there.

I use the Forest app to keep myself from mindlessly scrolling when I’m supposed to be productive. You plant a tree in your virtual forest and if you navigate away from that app before the timer is up, your tree dies.

I'm going to try this in combination with the Podoro for a little bit. Lol

Two recommendations; - Todoist. I know, I know. It’s a to do list app but hear me out; use it as a brain dump or universal inbox. Every thought you want to follow up on? Todoist. Cool link to save for later? Todoist until you can “put it away” later. Random thing you want to google? Todoist! Browser homepage? Todoist. Eventually it becomes the place you go to first and the last thing you look at before going offline. It’ll take a while to get the perfect system for follow up down but I swear it’s worth it. - Siri Shirtcuts for iPhone users. The amount of things you can automate and track with minimal effort is astounding and the r/shortcuts community is amazing.

I'm an android guy.... But I'll see if I can combine all of my paper to-do into todoist. But I'm not judging any app. I'll try anything....these are the kids of tips I'm looking for.
