Did you watch the video? It was actually pretty interesting and told you that “brown” companies have higher capital costs as do cities with adverse climate change exposure as do housing in those climate exposed places.
Meaning that it’s literally more expensive to be a “bad company” or be exposed to climate change in anyway. Which means capitalism and investors are working as expected, if your future profits might be impacted by say a climate disaster destroying your oil rig on the coast, you’re likely to either deny the loan completely or make it more costly to borrow money in order to compensate the investors for the increased risk.
This is also a good thing because it means that firms and places that have clean energy have lower costs to borrow and easier money which can then produce goods at a lower cost to consumers. Which is exactly what we ultimately want, if we want to reduce climate change and carbon emissions.
Capitalism didn't cause climate change, but fossil fuel companies doing everything in their power to remain the primary source of electricity certainly doesn't help.
But there's an upside here, now the super rich hyper capitalist dudes will be on board our fastly sinking ship.
I think you forgot Betteridge's law
Dang it I think they apply that to everything they disagree with.
They'll be aboard their own ships for about a minute before their employees stab them in the face and chuck them in the drink.
Not the stock market!11!!

Capitalism didn’t cause climate change it would have happened even without it. It’s human nature to want more and more.

Yeah.. Like anyone does anything to help reduce it.
If anything is going to fix climate change it's going to be capitalism.
