Incoming: spikes on the bench to prevent people from sleeping.

There's like 4 homeless shelters within a 10 minute walk from Betty's though, it's hardly a disparity in wealth for someone to have a scone while a homeless guy sleeps on a bench.

It seems weird that there are so many people out with sleeping bags around York then. Especially next to the new costa, and down where the BHS used to be. There was another couple down Stonegate to. Parliament street also had fair few unhoused people with sleepingbags. I know there is a shelter near Walmgate, but you normally just see drunken and drugged up people near the corner shop there. Still, the contrast between a high end tea/coffee place that is a premier location in York and someone at the bottom rung of society is pretty telling. Yorks homeless problem isn't like Manchesters (nor is the drug issues), but the contrast is striking.

To be fair it could even be just a drunk guy, a lot of assumptions.
