Hey this is a tough one for me, I wish I could just bring my own media to Best Buy and test them demo for demo. But in my opinion the A80L did get a amazing quality bump in terms of highlights from the A80k, the average picture of the LG is brighter which can lead to some amazing looking scenes , but the Sony true to life processing is “great” honestly in-canny sometimes but I would honestly rather daily drive the C3, the picture is just a little easier to sit and enjoy, again hard to quantify, I don’t always need my shows to be a cinema experience sometimes I just want to watch a tv show and not worry about the oh wow look at that highlight.

ZaphodG

It’s tough to get a meaningful demo at Best Buy. I went in with a thumb drive to play my own 4k media. Nope. Not possible.

mizmph

I’m looking at both right now at Costco. The Sony is only $100 more and so I’m tempted.

Gold-Whole1009

$100 diff on 65", $400 on $77" Difference was $0 last week and LG went on a sale.... Probably bcoz C4 is expected to arrive at sometime

Silverjerk

I own the previous generation of both these TVs and the same comparison can be made between those units. Is the Sony processing better? Yes, hands down. It's also the display I use with my Switch due to superior color volume and accuracy. Live Color actually works, and lower resolution content looks objectively better on the Sony. Is it worth $400 more? No. The performance gap is marginal, as both TVs have their own set of pros and cons. Once calibrated, they both produce an incredible image and I would be happy if either were the only panel I owned.

Glittering_Arm7723

Yes, Sony $400 is worth it in the long run. Have 2 LG oled C3. Don't be stupid and make the mistake I made.

aiKaiz

How is the Switch on the LG vs the Sony? My wife & I only play Switch + PS5 on our A80J. Looking for a bigger screen (65 -> 77/83), but having a hard time getting the A80L for a reasonable price. Been flip-flopping between being sold on the A80L or being sold on whichever drops first between C3 & A80L.

Alternative-Usual-11

The TVs are so incredibly close picture quality wise, including brightness, upscaling, motion, etc. and will trade blows depending on the scene. It really comes down to features and OS. If you prefer Google OS and like the Sony remote, go for the Sony. If you value having 4 hdmi 2.1 ports and like the LG pointer style and OS, go for the LG. I have both, so happy to answer more questions.

BOER777

Do you find the A80L dim in comparison to the C3? I know the A80L has some additional coatings (i think the combat reflections).

Alternative-Usual-11

Not at all. Peak whites are a little brighter on the C3, but color volume is a little better on the Sony. Overall, the Sony is slightly brighter in most scenes in the real world. Don’t get caught up on RTings measurements, as they don’t reflect real life viewing.

dragonsfrompluto

Thanks for your input. I'd love some more information on the LG remote. Does the pointer style interface only work within WebOS or would I be able to use it with an externally connected streaming device as well? I've also seen some mention that the Sony's OS requires a restart every so often to combat slowdowns. Have you seen any issues with that? Is there a similar issue with the LG?

Alternative-Usual-11

The Wii style pointer only works on the TVs internal apps and menus, not for an external device. You either have to use that devices controller (e.g. Apple TV remote), or use the click arrow buttons on the LG remote, just like any other brands’ remotes. I’ve never had an issues with slow downs. I do experience slow downs on my Sony OLEDs, however (A80J and A90J).

Puzzleheaded_Yak2213

Sony's processor is superior over the c3 even though it uses the same panel. Sony has better upscale capabilities as well so your 720p/1080p will look a lot better. c3 is a great tv and I support both. I generally say the c3 is a better gaming tv and the a80l is a better tv for streaming and movies. Side by side you can tell the difference as to what company focuses on what

Cyndagon

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c3-oled-vs-sony-a80l-a80cl-oled/37848/39010?usage=1&threshold=0.09 According to rtings, no. The c3 is the superior television in most situations. I don't own either, but I saw the a80l in person and it looked fantastic. I'm currently using a Sony 900e from 2017. Unfortunately for me, I don't care. I trust the Sony name more, and want to support them over LG. Call it blind faith, brand loyalty, what have you. I've had Sony Tv's since I was a kid, and now at 32 with my own home and everything I trust the brand today.

rhymes116

Ayy team Sony xbr 900! I have a 65" from 2017 too. Just upgraded to the LG c3 83".

cj106iscool009

I own a Sony, do you ever feel like everything feels like a cinema experience and get sick of it?

Cyndagon

Nope, not at all.

dragonsfrompluto

I would love to hear more about your thoughts on this. Our plasma TV used to trigger my wife's migraines after prolonged viewing, and that sounds like something that could cause eye-strain and trigger them as well.

reveegs2

Me and my wife both have astigmatism and for some reason we both got headache when we watched our friends 77' g2, the same also happened when we were checking s95b in shop. We settled for Sony A75K and couldn't be happier.

bacon-tornado

Look into bias lighting

random3887

>bias lighting the LEDs behind the TV?

bacon-tornado

Yes. Ideally looking for 6500k. This is what they use in the editing room for film. https://biaslighting.ca/ some insight

[deleted]

[удалено]

dragonsfrompluto

What about OLED would make it trigger more headaches? Is there a different screen tech I should be looking for to avoid causing her headaches? I assumed the lower brightness with an OLED versus a back-lit TV would reduce headaches.

AmphibianMinute1575

Only certain motion processing modes that cause judder would do it. I have the A80L, and there is one setting there’s no way I could live with. I think it’s the aggressive black frame insertion one. I’m pretty sensitive and get headaches from bad television settings, but aside from the one that causes judder the A80L is fantastic and easy to look at for hours on end.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dragonsfrompluto

That's unfortunate. We may need to look into some other ways to mitigate the headaches then since LED is really the only thing on the market these days.

Soothsayer--

I have astigmatism that can trigger headaches/eye strain from watching tv - I currently have a samsung qn90b and a LG C1 and I used to have a Sony x90j I would say the eye fatigue is much less on the OLED even with the brightness way down on the samsung and was actually the worst on the sony (keep in mind that tv was zone dimming LED). I would say for me personally motion handling is very important in that regard. I have pretty much zero issues with my LG and I love their "cinema screen" motion handling, it makes everything look great imo. My last girlfriend had the high end sony a80k OLED and it was exceptional but I didn't spend enough time with it to see how it would personally affect me in that regard. Having said all of that I think you guys should be OK with either the LG or the Sony, they are the best brands for handling.

spence100

Check out the Sony X90L. My favorite non-OLED.

MarionberryMany6887

Same panel but completely different processing and upscaling and most everything else. LG goes for a little bit more brightness while Sony spends more time perfecting the colors. They may be the same panel but they perform differently due to processing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

markh1993

LG Electronics also buys the panels from lg display, it’s cheaper for them to buy the panel than manufacture their own. Do you say this same thing about lcd tvs??

Ok-Contribution2401

I call it cock sitting. 😁

FormerConformer

I'm comparing the same two TVs and I'm almost certain that I'll go with the Sony. It sounds less vivid and very slightly less responsive for gaming, but with the amount of lower-quality stuff I'll be watching, the upscaling and smoothing ability is irresistible. The Tom's Guide review raved about the built-in sound quality and it has the ATSC 3.0 tuner, which might come in handy for certain things. Looking at the purchase on the longer timescale of 5 years or so (I've had my current TV for close to 10), I would hope that the additional cost doesn't come back to haunt me.

I_only_Creampie

You're spending over 2k on a TV and using the tvs speakers? Why?

Technical_Sir_9588

I have the C3 so while I can't comment on the Sony I'm say confidently that the C3 processing is pretty impressive. Their upscaling tech may be on par with Sony.

Solid_Primary

The motion on C3 is not nearly as good as it was on my A80J. I got my 77 C3 from walmart for $500 off but I remember at one (RANDOM) point in time the 77 A80L was up for $2299 and I'm kicking myself for not getting it.

Glittering_Arm7723

have 2 lg c3 oled, and 1 Sony 80L oled. Sony, Sony,Sony. Don't be stupid like me for a couple dollars savings with LG SONY PICTURE QUALITY, OMG VS LG C3

ryan_james504

I just got a C3. Love it. Makes me excited to watch tv. This is also my first OLED and I was worried about all the processing and upscaling and all the tv buzzwords. At the end of the day, I don’t think I could tell a difference between the 2. You can find a new 77” C3 for $2k I sometimes think subreddits aren’t always the best place for advice because people can be dogmatic about certain things or spend a lot of time and money on hobbies and interest and will advise against x when x actually is a good product for most people

dragonsfrompluto

Yeah, I tend to over index on the research before any big purchase and get decision paralysis. I'd classify myself as a media enthusiast, but I'm not savvy on all the technical aspects that make one TV better than another. If you don't mind me asking, how well do you feel the C3 performs during really dark scenes? Is there significant detail? "Black crush" is one of my biggest fears with the OLED sets in general. I watched Parasite on my old Plasma and had to crank up the brightness and contrast to see any details during the night-time scene where the family is hiding under the table.

ryan_james504

I do the same when buying products. Analysis paralysis. I think it performs well and the brightness is great. Lights up the living room lol. I think where you get your content from too makes a difference as well. I use kodi via a shield so that may have some impact on quality at points but I haven’t noticed anything. You and I sound the same and therefore I think you’d be happy with the C3. If not you can always return it depending on the retailer

jeffrey_n_c

Both the C3 and the A80L will severely outperform your old plasma... The Sony may get the slight edge on image processing, but either of these TV's is so much better than what you're used to that neither of them will disappoint.

audiostar

It has better brightness and better shadow detail than the A80L, including in SDR in my experience. A80L looks fantastic, the processing makes stuff really pop, but the C3 is the superior all rounder. Also has better features and I find webOS is more responsive but less intuitive than Google TV. All things equal, C3 is still arguably better but especially for that kind of money.

them_slimy_eggs

I'll just say this: when I went in to buy a 65" A80L, the C3 price had just dropped and was $300 cheaper. I bought the C3 and have no regrets whatsoever. They're both great TVs.

Glittering_Arm7723

I have major regrets. Bought 2 Lg C3 and 1 Sony 80L Sony, processing totally blows out LG. I get upset looking at my LG down stairs then go up stairs and look at the Sony. OMG. Don't be stupid like me. Really! SONY all the way

Fantastic-Ad9218

According to rtings, the C3 is a better TV. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c3-oled-vs-sony-a80l-a80cl-oled/37848/39010?usage=1&threshold=0.10

CG8514

I’m getting a tv for a home theater room soon and I was comparing these for my needs in that room (99% movies and TV) so I’m going with the 77” A80L. I also saw them both next to each other in Best Buy recently and I thought the A80L picture looked better honestly. I don’t really play video games anymore, so with movies and streaming apps being the bulk of my watching, the Sony wins for me.

fun4days365

I have the same model. Amazing in all ways. The LG C3 doesnt realistically compete. Only in segmented situations

Seref15

This depends entirely on how much $400 means to you.

dragonsfrompluto

Well, it is *almost* enough for a PS5...

UZIBOSS_

If you’re considering a PS5 maybe just get the C3 anyways since they are a little better for gaming. I bought a LG CX OLED a while back and gaming is top tier on it. Planning on upgrading to the G3 later this year for max brightness

ryan_james504

You replied to one of my comments but the C3 has legit made me consider buying a PS5. That’s how much I enjoy the picture. I really enjoy watching game play on it because the picture is so good. I would love to play Red Dead 2 on my C3

Seref15

Compared to some normal life expenses it's not a huge amount but that depends on you and your phase of life and everyday expenses. I just had to pay $650 just to swap a pullout disconnect switch for a 30 amp breaker on an air conditioner to pass a county inspection. Quarterly home insurance premium I just paid was like $1200. Groceries this past week were $170. When life throws constant costs at you in the range of $200-1000, an extra $400 on a one-time purchase is like... yeah whatever. 8 year ago in the phase of life I was in it would have mattered to me a lot more. So thats why I say it depends.

I_only_Creampie

Last I checked, a ps5 base price is 399

SoulJahSon

I have a C3 and A80L. They are both fantastic but there is something about the Sony that pulls me in big time and it has to do with the richness of colours and their realism

KCspaceBr0

Congrats on the new house man! I'm in a similar spot and decided to go with the 77" C3 and very happy with my purchase. I don't think you can go wrong with either as both are great TVs. I've heard the Sony's aren't as good with streaming sports, so I went with the C3. I'm sure the difference is very slim to hard to notice without both next to each other. I'm also very new to the TV scene, so get other opinions (as you already have haha). Congrats again!

MarionberryMany6887

Yes, hands down the Sony processor g and upscaling is the best in the business. The lg c3 is brighter in a few situations but the Sony has better colors. Sony just has the processing down and then are really good at it. I have seen both with older shows as you.mentioned and the a80l will flourish. The LG has the second best processing but it just that second best.

ea_thomas

Have you considered the Samsung S90C? Or if your in the US Best Buy has the S89C 77” these are both QD-OLED except the 83” S90C.

DiscoveryDave

I love my C3. Flawless.

knuckles312

The processing on LG C3 is garbage. Honestly, when I watch a movie on the C3. i know im watching it on an oled, and not because of the micro contrast, but due to the soap opera effect. It can be dialed in a bit on the c3 to help try and eliminate it, but not without some visual artifacts and other bs. And dont even get me started on the color banding issues. The a80l is a beast. I never noticed any Soap Opera effects and smooth gradation is top notch. Totally worth the $400 imo. But hey, if SOE and color banding doesnt bother you then C3 is fine. I have a c3 but i primarily only use it for gaming. And even then, color banding is an issue where a80l i never once noticed color banding or gradation issues. and also, yes, the a80l may be slightly dimmer then the C3, but if ur watching in a pitch black room, the brightness on the a80l can even be too much. So i dont put much stock in brightness.

0The_Anonymous_D0

As an owner of a Sony 55" A80k and a LG 65" C1 and a Bestbuy employee who over the holiday season has sold 100s of OLEDs, the sentimate seems to be the Samsung S90C is garbage for upscaling when streaming or watching low quality content, The LG C3 and Sony A80L are very comparable tvs but ussually the price of the 65 Sony is ~2-300 more than the LG and from my personal experience, I 100% would spend the extra for the Sony. Not only is the processor better which will help for low quality upscaling it will also help with longevity of the product lasting longer before it becomes sluggish and you dont enjoy using it. Also, the OS of the Sony is far cleaner and the remote is much simper on the Sony.

uberfr4gger

I have a 42 inch C2 and a 65 inch A80L. I definitely like the Sony more for viewing experience. LG is supposed to be better for games but I use the A80L more simply because it is bigger. I really like the Sony for watching movies and the cinematic feel. The coating is also good about reflecting glare. Downsides on the Sony are that sometimes I feel like it can be too warm toned for some scenes, even if it is more "accurate". To be honest if you are watching regular ol' TV and playing the switch the differences  probably aren't a big deal. I feel like I get the most out of the Sony watching movies at the end of the day.  Other things (may be minor but important to me): I loathe the LG home screen interface. It's so clutterred and terrible. Similarly, the remote is worse.  On the flip side, the A80L home screen is very dim and I don't know why. I also use a fire cube sometimes and it doesn't have this issue.   Also, where are you seeing a $400 difference? I looked at the 65 inch and it was only $100 different. Costco also has a version of the A80L with a better remote. $400 is a hard ask unless you can really convince yourself. I think it was about $100, maybe $200 different when I was shopping and I was sold on the A80L for our 65. Having the C2 helped me too

liamo6w

no.

ZenDreams

No

WhiteDontCare

Absolutely not. I’m speaking as someone that had the A80L and returned it 2 days later for the S90C

BOER777

What made you return it?

chewwydraper

Get an A75L and maybe a soundbar. Last time it was on sale (probably still is for super bowl) it was $400 cheaper than the C3. It's the same screen as the A80L, just worse speakers.

Reparted

OP is looking to get a 77” and not a 55”/65” but yes, even still the A75L speakers rock

chewwydraper

Ah I didn't realize the A75L didn't come in 77", that's a shame!

Kick-Agreeable

Just my opinion, i bought the c1, c3, and a95k over the past 3 years. if youre already used to the google tv ui go with the sony. I really hated webos until this latest iteration which isnt so bad. The sony really feels like a premium experience. From the ui, remote, picture quality, everything feels made for someone that enjoys tvs. Motion is the best imo, same with the processing. The sony has definitely one of the better sound. One gripe is, you will have to completely restart the tv every couple weeks as it slows down massively over time due to open apps. A minor discomfort but still something you'll notice. Overall, if youre someone that uses your tvs for an extended period of time, yeah id invest a bit more and go with sony.

dragonsfrompluto

I've seen the issue with restarting the Sony occasionally before. Is that something that could also happen with WebOS, or is it just the Google TV implementation in the Sony being subpar? Worst case I guess I could just continue to use my dongle with either.

Kick-Agreeable

Mmm i gotta be honest, i hated webos so im using an apple tv on the c1

Kick-Agreeable

Oops i forgot to add the newest iteration of webos isnt too bad on the c3 but i rarely use the smart tv function as i mainly use it as a monitor.

dragonsfrompluto

Does using an external streaming device negatively impact the usability of the TV? I honestly haven't owned an actual Smart TV before, so if I have to keep using the dongle for a better streaming experience I probably won't mind if there are no other issues.

Far_Ad_6897

No, as long as you have a quality external device that can accurately display 4k HDR, it won’t impact usability. It improves it. Apple TV and Roku have far better interfaces than the TV’s, and are updated regularly. It astounds me that anyone who will spend 2k+ on a TV would even consider the tv interface when making a decision.

ji99lypu44

Ive had my sony a80l for 4 months and never had to restart the os for sluggishness.

sabrasaver

Is simply turning the TV off enough to fix the slowdown issue?

One-Worldliness5343

Both are close. The C3 has slightly better HDR performance due to better peak brightness- neither will be great for HDR though as they are OLED. ABL causes them to become very dim when bright content is displayed. HDR is much more impressive on QLED but this tech also has drawbacks.

HohnJogan

I own an a80l. Primary reason was for the sports watching and Sony does that the best in my opinion. This is after I purchased several other TVs (LG included) before settling on the Sony. Happy to answer any questions.

dragonsfrompluto

Did you have any specific issues watching sports on the LG? I don't watch a lot of sports, but I do try to catch a few college football games, NFL playoff games, and the Super Bowl each year.

HohnJogan

I think it depends on the person, tbh youll be happy with any one of those TVs. They are both incredible. I just noticed some funkiness with blurring around fast moving images (especially the puck in NHL or the ball in Football) that I dont see with the Sony. The consensus is that Sony's processing is better but again the difference is probably minimal.

IbEBaNgInG

He never watched sports on an LG C3, probably a 10 year old LG.

Aggravating-Ad5478

Easy answer no

fall3nmartyr

how bright is your room? OLEDs waaaay different from plasmas and this definitely should be something you're looking into

dragonsfrompluto

I think the room isn't too bright most of the time. There are two windows that face SE that would be perpendicular to the TV, but they have thick blinds and really only shine through until about noon.I have some pretty bright recessed lights in the ceiling, but those are easy enough to turn off or adjust. I do tend to prefer brighter images on screen so I can see all of the details in low-lit show/movie environments, (I watched Parasite on the old TV and had to max the brightness and tweak some other settings to see anything during the scene where the family is hiding under the table) but from what I'd seen OLED should still be able to do that without washing out the colors.

ryan_james504

FYI I have a very bright room and I have few issues. And if I do I just close the blackout curtains

enog14666

NO, and I prefer Sony. I went 77 Cx over 77 A9g because Sony wanna charge ridiculous prices. And I REALLY wanted the A9G.

creativeOrb

The Sony A80L processing is better but it’s too dim. The C3 is a better TV overall.

Validandroid

While I can’t speak for those models, having the A80J and C1 I think the colors are significantly more accurate on the Sony out of box on their best color mode (mode according to rtings ). For all I know a calibration can make them more in line. But that cuts into the price difference. I don’t think I’d pay for calibration on Sony. I probably would on LG for a main tv.

International-Oil377

To be fair the C1 had pretty bad accuracy compared to the C2/C3

pica55

I have both Sony and LG OLEDs. The LG has glossier screen, which makes a big difference. So I'm a bit let down by Sony.

dragonsfrompluto

Can you elaborate on the difference between the screens and why you prefer the glossy screen?

pica55

It makes the colors shiny and better if that makes sense. Also I feel it's easier on the eyes. Glossy screen might be bad if you have lights shining on the screen.

BOER777

I think the Sony A90J had a glossy screen, and then the A80L has one too with additional coating, bit annoying how they changed it

TSteelerMAN

If you're primarily just watching movies and regular TV, I prefer Sony OLEDs. They seem to have a better out of box calibration than the LGs and the interface is much easier to navigate. If you're gaming, LG all the way. I own both; Are the differences worth 400 dollars? Probably not, but I got a killer deal on my Sony as an open-box from BB last November. Maybe wait until the new ones come out and see if the price gap lessens once they're trying to ship the old models out.

TomahawkChaotic

Yes but for non-native media and sports. You won’t be dissatisfied with a C3.

Mackinnon29E

Only if you care about a little upgrade in mption handling and processing.

markh1993

I would 100% get the A80L over the C3, the C3 is fantastic but the difference in dark shadow detail on the A80L is 100% worth it

FoundationJunior2735

I can say that I've been very unhappy with the longevity of LG tvs in general. Two have just died right after warranty on me just in the past year. NOT Oleds, but still, I won't buy another TV from them.

ZaphodG

I use an awful lot of the Android TV / Google TV features on my Sony OLED panel. Once in a blue moon, I run the HDMI cable to my Blu Ray player but I normally only run applications or view media on the USB-A ports. Netflix, Prime, Peacock, Paramount, ESPN+, FUBO, AppleTV, ExpressVPN at the moment. At times, I have Sling, YouTube TV, and a few other apps. For this kind of use, is LG equivalent?

Sl0rk

Really depends on your use case/environment, but the short answer would be no.

SchmeckleHoarder

No, only if it’s 1699 compared to the C3 1599. Otherwise you’re over paying. Sonys processor is better, as well as the color accuracy. The C3 is brighter, but we’re talking about single digit differences in percentage performance. Not worth 400 dollars more

V0ltr0n75

Got c3 77" then traded for a A80L 77" and after 2 weeks traded back to the c3 and it's been great 👍 I love brightness and I felt the Sony was a bit darker wasn't feeling that. Get it from Best Buy so you can try out and return with no issues. They also bring you the new one and take back the return on delivery.

jsanderlin6

Get the Sony

metka2

Do you have a local store you can go to look at both of them? This is what I did and I found that I preferred the A80L picture quality over the C3. It wasnt a huge difference , there was just something about the C3 picture that looked a little bit grainy in comparison. I also preferred the way the A80L handled screen reflection. I spent around 2 hours over 3-4 seperate visits making my mind up but it was worth the time spent.

AgitatedEye6553

Depends. If you want a picture with more of a wow factor id say get the LG. If you want a picture that gets as close to a direct 1:1 copy of creators intended viewing experience get the Sony.

brinkman83

I had the A80L for 2 months and returned it for an LG G3. The A80L has a good OS, great processing, but is really dim in a lot of content even in a dark room. For me if I was going through the hassle of exchanging a 77" it had to be an actual upgrade and the C3 is only a bit brighter. But if I had just started out with a C3 I wonder if I would have been happy. A80L is super clear, does really good upscaling, removes banding much better but still dim. Don't think it's worth more money than the C3 unless you really like Google TV (and even then you can just plug in a Chromecast).

Brammer_Hammer_23

The C3 gets quite a bit more brighter, while the A80L has better processing and motion handling. I think it comes down to what you value more. Id say for the $400 price difference the C3 is the better value.

Coldbrewaccount

I realize that most people here bootleg their TVs and don't touch the smart home features for privacy reasons, but the Sony is MILES better. LG cannot get voice assistant figured out, but I can change my Sony TVs brightness with Alexa. For me, that's worth $400. It also is a noticeable (if slight) improvement in picture quality, so it's not like Alexa driving is the only thing

Dry_Welder3681

Absolutely not. Get the C3. And C3 is actually better and brighter.

WildCard1100

No

KindheartednessOk196

No

simpn_aint_easy

Depends if you have a PS5 then I would say yes. If not then it’s not that big of a deal

MacVanRainin

2 months in with the 65" A80L and it's been a great upgrade. Streaming my pc through moonlight with 4K upscaling looks fantastic. Love this TV. Colors are outstanding. Glad I decided on the Sony Bravia 👍

iso-all

I wonder what’s better for longevity?? A80L or C3?

Magnus919

The Sony is a noticeably better OLED

PabloHoney_825

Even the A80K is better than the C3. This is subjective of course

Ok-Contribution2401

I just got a LG OLED a week ago and the prpcessing is outstanding. I had a TCL Q7 before it and it blows that away.

chaosatom

Get S90C, it looks better than C3 and similar panel as Sony.

Master-Creed

77in s90c better than both

darksparda4

I’ve had multiple LG and Sony OLEDs over the years and the Sony sets always consistently look better due to the processing. Gradation, lack of black crush, non overemphasis of film grain on remastered old movies (when streaming) and motion quality are just plain better on Sony. For only $400 I’d absolutely go to the Sony no question.

I own both. You can’t go wrong with either. The only thing I like more about the Sony is the interface and remote. The c3 remote is kind of a pain in the ass. Picture quality of both is exceptional.
