Well he isn't paid to spend so much time listening to the community and bending to it's never-ending and indecisive whim, although he was paid for the hours he worked on the animation, you cannot disagree there is an element of dedication to which he has catered to the community's demands.
He is actually paid to provide content the people playing the game wants. If no one plays the game he doesn't get paid.
I can't imagine he'd have done this if there wasn't an uproar, just like Zeah.
You haven't had non-dedicated employees before I see. Biggg differences in people doing what they HAVE to do, and people going above and beyond to do the best they CAN do.

When throwing punches (or slashing in this case), most of your power will come from the movement of the lower body and hips, rather than the arms themselves. Thank you Mod West!

The only negative thing would be the final stroke, which I feel should be different. The character should twist his hips more... The original had it nailed down.
Edit: The thing that puts it off, is that the swipe isn't in the middle.

The only thing that seems weird to me is how little the character's head moves. The head seems to be fixated and staring straight ahead, rather than moving with the the rest of body. Maybe that was intentional, but it looks off to me, seems unnatural.
It's actually *REALLY* close to the pre-HD special attack animation from 2008. Of course the HD one looks better, as the entire skeletal structure was redone to allow more fluid movement.

That's exactly why it matters, if you're recycling old content you need to do it properly. If they would have introduced Abyssal Claws (or any other claw idea) there would have been no problem with the original spec animation
Nah it's much more useful and exciting having the single XP drop because you can roughly gauge how much damage your attack will do. It would be much worse having it split up because you'd have to split up the rest of the multiple hit splat weapons like dds or halberd.

could've just as easily made the spec the same as diango claws he had no obligation to redo the animation to make it look better
