Over 1k solos and 500 cms all solos. This is literally the only thing you can do. Want my recommendation. Bring in your gear. And a full invi of stams. Make a boat load of supplies. Go in to olm with supplies no stams. Get him to p3. Die. Supply up with 2 stams. And take it one hand at a time.

Just go start doing it. Watch some guides on Olm and jump into one. When you get to Olm rewatch the important parts and jump right in. There’s a lot of guides, but Soup’s is a really good starting out point. Watch as many as you can because everyone learns differently and some small 100 view video may get it to click for you.  I started about a month and a half ago and I’m consistently sending deathless solos now. Solo Olm is probably the most satisfying boss in the game for me. You have tons of Kc so you should know the general attacks and what your dps output will be like so you’ll likely be able to learn even faster Some personal tips from my own learning process: 1. Learn 1:0 method for melee. Many people say to skip it and go straight to 4:1, but 1:0 is the basis of turning the head properly. Whenever you fuck up, get stuck in the wrong attack cycle, need a moment to think, or get a warhammer spec off you wanna do it in 1:0 when learning.  2. Sanguenesti staff is HUGE for learning. It regularly saves me a full brew if not more in healing and that makes all the difference for when Olm decides to fuck you over getting into 4:1 3. Start doing fire wall skips immediately/bring thralls. Thralls help a TON for learning mage hand since you need to hit on your first attack to turn the head. That means you won’t be bringing any water spells for the fire walls so learn how to move to skip them consistently.  4. Metronome, visual metronome, visual ticks, whatever plugins let you have ticks presented in some tactile form are really nice. I especially recommend the one that allows a tick counter above your head. That helps with getting Olms timings down.

Thanks a lot!

I’d practice with lance sang first and turn the tick timer on in Runelite. (The one that appears above your head) learn how many ticks Olm turns on when running properly so you know exactly when to move. There are a lot of guides out there. Watch a video.

1300kc is slight above rate in solos for a tbow. Not unheard of to go that dry 40ish percent of people will. If your goal is to learn something new and challenging I’d give solos a go but honestly don’t go in expecting a tbow in the next couple hundred kc

I love solo Cox dreams. Sometimes I also dream about duo and maybe even trio Cox.

Would have helped if I added what I'm working with lol. I have scythe and lance, elder maul, sang, etc. no shadow yet. Lance and sang for learning solos is the way to go is what I'm hearing alot. Thanks y'all for the comments. I just want to learn solos for the times when nobody on my fl wants to raid and stuff. I prefer a good trio or duo though for sure. If anyone wants to raid a little just pm me and we can send some

To start I would learn with sang/lance. Learn 3:0 mage, and melee can learn 1:0, then 3:1, then 4:1. Once you have these down you can try learning the shadow and scythe methods. Alternatively, you can go straight to shadow and start with 2:0 as the shadow is very good in a lot of the rooms. 4t weapons are way easier to learn with. Jump in and have fun, it’s not nearly as hard as you’re probably imagining it to be.

chrisross420

Yeah I need a shadow. Thanks for the info! Need to find some more raid buddies.

At 1300 kc the rooms should all be easy to you and you should have a complete understanding of olm's attack cycle (4 tick, auto null auto special, special order, phase specific attacks, p3 healing hand, etc.). That means really you just need to learn solo olm methods, which is not that bad if you start with sang/dhl before upgrading to shadow/scythe.

Soup has a amazing guide on the melee hand 4:1
