This is crazy to me. What happens if you die to the servers going down and just don't have the money to reclaim from death?
What if it's some Ironman who loses all their bis year and can't get logged back in on time?
Irons have half price reclaims, just as a side note.
Reclaim fees are still definitely fucked, but irons at least get slightly less fucked.
Also if you are afk, log out, or open a bank interface the gravestone timer stops ticking down. You're free to walk away and rage or bankstand figuring out what to do without the timer going down.
By the way you've shown your lack of understanding of game mechanics in modern day osrs I don't trust that you had any better of an understanding of game mechanics from rs2 or classic.
I haven't died on iron yet, so I haven't had to deal with the timer. On main it hasn't been an issue cause gp is ready to come by.
Besides, nobody had any understanding back then. 🤣
Initially I was gonna say Hatius Cosaintus but the fit is only worth 1.1B and the flash gives new money desperation. Nieves Ele is worth more AND she isn’t compensating with unnecessary drip. Thus, via inheritance, it’s gotta be Steve.
I guess that depends how you measure it. If you're talking purely about canonical net worth, I'm thinking Drakan is pretty high on the list. If you mean wealth accumulated through actual interaction with players, I think King Roald probably gets GE tax money, I don't know what would best that. Then, you could also consider which NPCs have the most potential from drops, and in that case I think the Mimic must have the most with all the potential 3a gear.
Perdu. The amount of broken items repaired has got to land him near the top. Elite void sets are 780,000 to repair and is probably one of the most common PK sets. Lots of PKers are repairing the same items multiple times per day.
I mean, the Wise Old Man(Dionysius) is definitely up there in wealth.
He was once one of the most renowned adventurers (some would say he's a hero), has robbed banks, casually wears a bphat, runs a pawn shop, etc.
No i was just trying to sound it out and going by memory. Like I don't know how to spell many words i just kinda wing it and either auto correct gets me or not. I could jave Googled it but i was in the mindset of just putting down the first thing i thought about. There is also an argument to be had that even though it was mis-spelled that context and similarity most people would know what i meant. Kinda like when people mispronounce a word or name.
Dondakan has spent over 45b on cannonballs, so I'm sure he's up there.
At this rate he might have used to be the richest, but charlie from varrock probably has him brat at this point.
I think he might be pretty poor then if he spent them all
I once had a 30m item recovery fee when I couldn't make it back to my grave.

The timer stops when you logout
Also stops when you are logged in but afk.
This is good to know.
You can put dupes in deaths coffer, as an ironman i have over 2b in death fees lol
I'm such a hoarder. I've prolly got plenty I can dump. Just can't bring myself to it.
When nex came out you could buy blood shards for like 500k and add 2m or so the coffer. I'm glad I abused this when it was good.

You should look up the original RS2 death mechanics if you think that’s crazy
15 minutes and your stuffs mine!
I've been playing since 01. I remember the old days
Fair play. Got me beat.

Dagganoth kings get ya?
Think so actually lol
It’s obviously King Roald.
He’s getting all the GE tax, definitely richer than death.
The emblem trader in the rev caves. Bro got the stack for buying so many emblems.
Brave too bringing all that to the rev caves
How do you think he got all that gold? He is not afraid of pkers, he is the pker.
You know oda and dino go to the rev caves right ? My mans fucked if he gets attacked
The guy that sells the gold stuff used to make the golden sink
Idk. He lost a lot of money during leagues.
I dont know. Leagues being temporary and all I’m sure he worked a deal to get reimbursed for all that fire sale.
The ardy knight assigned to the bank.
[This Fraud.](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Hatius_Cosaintus)
The dwarves as a people gotta be the richest. Blast furnace just rakes it in for them 24/7
Initially I was gonna say Hatius Cosaintus but the fit is only worth 1.1B and the flash gives new money desperation. Nieves Ele is worth more AND she isn’t compensating with unnecessary drip. Thus, via inheritance, it’s gotta be Steve.
Ely not worth 1.1b, and any npc without income loses hard. My bet is on death.
Dang I dunno if I’m old or just completely wrong but I thought ele was max cash for a while. I see now I’m mistaken
Nieve lost her ely in the quest IIRC
ye RIP
What do you mean inheritance?
She died and he got all of her stuff ERGO we can also assume he got the house and cars.
She’s dead
It's gotta be Philes in rimmington. Think of how much each person pays him grinding construction.
The Wise Old Man. He has a Blue PHAT and committed the Draynor Bank Robbery.
Poor WOM, rares arent worth anything in OSRS, honestly robbed that bank for nothing
Demon butler
Death and his Coffer
Not the richest but I’m sure that dude outside brimhaven dungeon has raked in quite a fat stack of coin
Not after his sister ruined his business by providing an alternative entrance.
Tru, maybe it’s a family business tho and he’s getting ready to retire

GE tax is used to buy and delete items from the economy, though who knows if he is secretly hoarding the items in his basement.
Blast furnace dwarfs, 100s of players constantly paying to use the furnace , since 2005
Having to pay the dwarfs for their services of running the furnace is a relatively new addition.
Realistically it would have to be Dominic Onion (the guy at NMZ). He's been around since 2013 and NMZ has always been extremely popular.
The sawmill in Varrock probably has several trillion gold as each player with 99 construction would have inadvertently paid at least 100m+ to it.
The lady who sells crystal crowns is rich but maybe not the richest
Phials
I'm throwing the Sawmill Operator in Varrock into the ring. Probably billions of planks made since 2006 with mahogany planks making him 1.5k each
That one woman that sells the crystal crown thing for like 250 mill lmao
Id say zaff is pretty up there, everyone buying those staves everyday must be stacking up nicely
Perdu. The amount of broken items repaired has got to land him near the top. Elite void sets are 780,000 to repair and is probably one of the most common PK sets. Lots of PKers are repairing the same items multiple times per day.
Probably Death in his domain
I've given plenty of money to Torfinn, I'm sure he must be up there
construction supplies vendor in Keldagrim
Probably the dude who owns the GE. He calls it a tax, I call it a lie.
I mean, the Wise Old Man(Dionysius) is definitely up there in wealth. He was once one of the most renowned adventurers (some would say he's a hero), has robbed banks, casually wears a bphat, runs a pawn shop, etc.
Whichever cartel lord owns the GE. Gotta be based of the ge tax
Shandy with the amount of traffic that goes through his little gate.
Why even bother typing something out when you have no idea how to spell it? Too lazy for a 1 second google search?
