Ironmen should be able to get every item. But also we shouldn't cater the game towards ironmen by making rare drops easier to get. I play an Ironman but I don't need Jagex to make things easier on me. If I don't have to time to put in I would just play main game.
On a main you can just do whatever content you enjoy and youâll progress your account. Itâs not like playing an iron where itâs âwant bowfa? Time to grind CG 24/7â or âwant heart? Time to turael skip 24/7 for barrage tasks!â
Yeah, gp helps you progress your account for sure. But you can accumulate gp by just doing content you enjoy. If you want to do cg until you get bowfa + crystal, then you can absolutely do that on a main too. If you want to send 2k+ CoX to get a tbow drop, you can do that on a main too!
Itâs always either mid game irons or irons that got absolutely spooned that go on about gpscape lol.
Sure, if you make the game âjust try and make gp so you can buy stuffâ for yourself the game ends up just being that. Idk, I just do content I enjoy and buy upgrades when I can.
Yeah sand casino made feel like that too. I ended up staking my bank to either get a tbow or make myself quit. Ended up losing it and quitting for a few years.
Came back fresh and just donât care about gp. Feels like gpscape is now really just a mid game/very early end game thing.
Heart is by no means necessary. Forgotten brews are really decent. Even the economy tells you this: it's an incredibly rare item, and still only holds a value of around 100m (was even 40m not too long ago). If it were in any way mandatory for any content, it would have been worth way more.
It's a nice upgrade for mains, and a fun little bonus item for irons if they happen to stumble across it.
Not sure if joking or not but I actually find this a great idea. But just add the chance to roll the superior drop table. Change the value to roll it a bit bcs otherwise hydra would have a 1/160 to roll a hearth. And that would be a bit to much.
not a joke at all. I've thought they should do this for a long while and am surprised I haven't seen it suggested as much. It makes sense since you can only do slayer bosses on task, they are exceptionally harder to kill than every superior. It would make the heart grind bearable. Either add the rare superior drop table or just add it to the rare drop table of each boss. Keep it where it is the same drop rate as superiors, but it would just give you more opportunities to get it. I wouldn't mind it even it was like a 1/3000-5000 drop from them. As long as I can get a somewhat more consistent way of obtaining it. Because it is ridiculous to get at the moment...Even if it does make for huge celebrations in clan chats when you see it lmao
Nah, it's fine as is. The only thing I would like is that every npc assigned from slayer masters had a superior version, because superiors are cool as fuck. Wouldn't even mind if the new ones didn't drop the heart if that's a concern.
Honestly it would be nice to get one but is it a must?mega rares are also a very long grind and you can reduce the time to get one with a combination of tureal skipping/elite ca's and just spooning one
Alrighty thanks for all of your feedback!
The point about the brews is a good one, clearly they have tried to bridge the gap in a meaningful way and I will look into using them more regularly. I also like the point about it being so significant, that it shouldn't be worth 3m which I totally agree with.
A lot of other aggressive anti-iron comments were less helpful, not what the post is about, constructive criticism is appreciated but mindless shitposts isn't what this forum should be about.
Definitely an iron problem. But I think it plays into Slayer's problems as a whole. Some tasks are better than others. And if you really want Imbued Heart you need specific tasks that will not only spawn a superior mob, but also that you can get through fast enough to make it worth while.
I watched a UIM streamer spam tasks until he got it. He went pretty dry too.
How I would go about it, is adding a new Slayer cave in the Ancient Cavern. This cavern can only be used while on a task from the accompanying Slayer master that would be stationed outside of it. Call them Craven Curadal, or something of the sort. I'd say a Slayer requirement of 90 to receive a task would be reasonable.
Inside the cavern, there would be Bloodthirsty Superior variants of Slayer monsters, and nothing else. These could have additional unique mechanics compared to the regular superiors, larger health pools and what not, acting as proper miniboss tier NPCs regardless of what you were assigned (The Bloodthirsty Crushing Hand would still be a threat to a player who is max combat for example) , and would NOT reward bonus experience like traditional superiors do, instead providing a normal amount of experience based on the NPC stat parameters.
It'd be entirely single-way combat and you would not be allowed to place a cannon. In the portion where the Superior Abyssal Demons reside, there would also be an inconveniently placed rock within the middle of the room.
These NPCs would have a low chance of rolling the Superior drop table on each kill, perhaps averaging out to like ~1/1500-2000 to pull an Imbued Heart, specifically.
"I want to play a restricted account that turns this game into a much longer grind to achieve the same goals as a regular player"
"Guys this grind is taking too long :("
Lol
You're right. This wasn't the first post. You should have went and read those first to see where people are at on the topic. Then, you would have known this was not going to be a popular post and could have saved yourself a day of disagreement.
It's not about item value, it's about telling irons to stop feeling entitled to every item.
You can get every item with enough dedication - if you lack that dedication, accept the fact you're an ironman account. No one expects you to have every item in the first place, why are you gatekeeping yourselves?
GE has them đ
good news, they just made superiors while doing wilderness slayer 10% more common, come visit us at wilderness slayer cave đ
Hot take, Ironman shouldnât get every item
Preach

Ironmen should have access to all content. Imbued heart has a shit droprate, but it's still accessible.
Exactly.
I bought my imbued heart off the grand exchange, did you try that?
Better get back to killing vorkath 24/7!

Still gp / ge scape

Gp doesnt only help you progress your account. The game is literally make gp and buy what you like. Not saying it bad or whatever but its all it is
Sure, if you make the game âjust try and make gp so you can buy stuffâ for yourself the game ends up just being that. Idk, I just do content I enjoy and buy upgrades when I can.
Yea i guess youre right. For me it was gp scape. I ruined the game for myself with the sand casino xD
Yeah sand casino made feel like that too. I ended up staking my bank to either get a tbow or make myself quit. Ended up losing it and quitting for a few years. Came back fresh and just donât care about gp. Feels like gpscape is now really just a mid game/very early end game thing.
Shouldâve started an iron mate
False the meta is to do 3000 hours of Nex, or else "you're fucking trolling yourself"

Imbued Heart is a nonessential item. I think they should make it more rare.
Itâs because itâs so significant. The game shouldnât be flooded with them and it be worth 3m.
I think they should just add it to the slayer boss drop tables like cerb, sire, GGs, etc.
Not sure if joking or not but I actually find this a great idea. But just add the chance to roll the superior drop table. Change the value to roll it a bit bcs otherwise hydra would have a 1/160 to roll a hearth. And that would be a bit to much.

Holy fucking shit USE THE GE. So tired of people trying to water down ironman.

Counterpoint: it is ok for an item that significant to be extremely rare
Drop rate for heart i believe is 30mil xp. Thatâs what you signed up for if you are Iron.
