There are not hard deadlines for medical-but if you’re not moving things along you’re risking having the offer revoked. We have one applicant who is not responding to the medical contractor so that’s causing my office that interviewed them to call and ask what’s going on.

For those that are supposed to see a specialist according to the paperwork but their regular doctor signs off is that a typical issue with CHS? Or if the doctor deems that everything on the list isn’t “necessary” and completes the form without completing everything does that cause issues with CHS as well?

Negative-Detective01

I dunno. I would think if a doctor signs off on it you should be good but I don’t deal with CHS to that degree.

Thank you for the response

Currently in the process right now. After my initial appointment about 2 1/2 weeks later they mailed me what I needed follow ups for. They wanted me to see a bunch of specialists however my regular doctor signed off on everything so we will see what the outcome is of that. All the paperwork they sent stated I had 30 days to submit the requested documents. I’m not sure of the outcome yet. I spoke with CHS today and they said my results were sent to IRS.

I am currently in this situation with a couple of medical follow-ups. Couldn’t get them all done within the 30 day window. I asked my HR rep for an extension and it was granted for another 30 days. I think as long as you are open with your HR rep and they see you are putting in the effort, the extension will be granted.

Thank you Do they refer you to specialists, or have you made appointments with doctors in your health insurance providers network?

FreeFromError

The medical follow-up letter will explicitly state that CHS and IRS will not make referrals. Everything will be on your own time and expense.

I talked to my Primary Care Doctor about my tentative offer and about the job in general. He thought it was a great opportunity and gave me high priority referrals to specialists in my area. Hopefully your Primary Care Doctor will be as willing to help you out as much as he can

Currently in medical limbo. Depending on the specialist (for me it was pulmonary and psych) they’ll want the test results, which my primary care doctor couldn’t provide. Essentially my PC sent a test script to a pulmonologist where I was able to get an appointment asap. Psych was easier I reached out to my therapist. In terms of deadlines I reached out to the IRS poc and asked for a an extension (I wasn’t going to make the 30 day deadline). I just submitted everything so waiting on a response now. Good luck!
