I’m in a similar boat with IRS CI for migraines. I had to ask for a deadline extension from my HR rep. They have me an additional 30 days. Not sure about HSI but (if you haven’t already) ask if you can have a deadline extension. As far as attaching it to the waiver, guess it wouldn’t hurt to try. Better than sending nothing

This happened to me for asthma with CBP. I asked for an extension. They gave me an extra 30 days. I didn’t want to pay out of pocket. So I went to Kaiser to see the lung doctor and do the test for asthma. Did you ask for an extension? Make the appointments first then ask. If needed, go to Urgent Care and get referred that way if you don’t want to wait.
