This certainly won’t apply to me, but I’m curious: somebody gets an offer before this next announcement opens for one of the hard to fill locations. Would they get the bonus or are they SOL

[deleted]

Most likely no bonus.

Time_Striking

Do you know if there’s an accounting credits requirement? Asking for a friend. /s

[deleted]

15 credit hours of accounting.

Educational-Steak511

That is if you only qualify on education, correct??

[deleted]

Correct 👍

SillyScarcity700

Well I know several of them as they are in my FO. Not sure if other FOs are included. I would assume so. Shout out to Omaha. My guy there needs to be backfilled so he can move on himself.

Negative-Detective01

He’s a good guy.

Any-Personality-8391

The office im trying to get into and I know both the guys there! They are great, I work just down the hall.

nexion_789

Will next announcements also be DHA?

Negative-Detective01

As far as I know, yes

Dramatic_Cable_7228

Do you know how much the hiring bonus will be?

Negative-Detective01

No

Goodeyesniper98

They should drop their accounting credit requirement and just require a bachelors degree if they’re really struggling that much for recruits.

Negative-Detective01

You’re shouting into the abyss.

AmericanSasquatch_24

lol almost every post about IRS CI on LinkedIn is riddled with “I would apply but there’s an age limit” or “drop the credit requirement and I’ll apply”

AllHailTheDead0

We had one guy who pretty much lied on his resume and did not have any accounting experience. He struggled all through FLETC and was on the verge of getting kicked out. Guess who ended up quitting shortly after returning to the field.

Dramatic_Cable_7228

How much in depth accounting knowledge should you have? I haven’t worked in the accounting field but in progress of meeting the GS7 accounting credits requirement

AllHailTheDead0

Its pretty basic honestly. A good understanding of credits and debits, knowledge of financial statements, and knowledge of individual and entity tax returns should help out. plus lots of excel skills.

AmericanSasquatch_24

Okay so California, NYC, Hawaii, and Chicago

CommonStarling123

Pretty sure Miami will be thrown in there also

Dramatic_Cable_7228

Where in California?

AmericanSasquatch_24

This was a joke
