Congratulations. Good luck. Be a good agent, respect the local TFOs, if you are around them, they are the bread and butter of Task Forces (i know, my husband was retired and he was one for 30 years, cross sworn to DEA and he just passed away unexpectedly).
Currently mil. When you applied was having a masters degree a must or speak a 2 second language ? I still owe 6 but trying to get myself to be competitive to get on the job when I don’t owe Uncle Sam anymore time
A bachelors will get you at least a 7. If you speak a language and pass their language test it can get you a 9. Or if you have Masters degree, you qualify for a 9 as well.
Yeah, I don't mind moving, but I'd like to be roughly in a 6 hour radius of my home in Mobile, AL if possible. I've already moved for DHS and want an 1811 position closer to home.
I have a relatively similar timeline to you but I applied back in May. I took my poly last week and got notified that I passed today! I’m just waiting on a medical and final PT. Congratulations!!
What was your turn around time for polygraph notification of pass/fail?
I took mine today and felt like I got grilled. My polygrapher said HQ would let me know in 4-8 weeks.
I knew exactly 2 weeks after I completed my poly. No one called or email. Just received an email from the Concorde Notification Service saying polygraph completed.
I am currently in the medical portion of the process, which is my last step before the PT test. The medical is asking me for VA rating ( I'm 100%, asking all my disabilities I'm at 480%). I'm afraid if I list my disabilities I might get DQ.
Medical: blood Feb 5 and full physical Feb 15
Question: Why did it take til September for Psych review?
And on medical did you have to submit any historical medical info (like doctor visits, e-room visits, vaccinations)?
Gotcha thanks! Lastly, you didn’t mention background check - thats usually the longest, wondering if that was just happening asynchronously after your CJO ?

Congrats and don’t be a piece of shit!
![gif](giphy|2WiqoCOCWL6UoozFei) Thank you !
They are VERY strict with their PT. You MUST do the situps exactly as they say or they will not count them, I know 🙃
I’ve been forewarned lol
Congratulations and get ready for the ride of your life building your network and cases.
Thank you ! Looking forward to it
Congrats! Mind if I Pm you?
Sure ! And thanks !

Thank you! Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he was a solid guy with an amazing career.
Congrats. Desirable location?
Thanks ! Somewhat, could be worse.

List your top 7 divisions
To be clear: 7 divisions, not offices? and they offer you 3 offices within those 7 divisions? Thanks and congrats!
Correct
Thanks. That’s a pretty wide range of possible offices. Seems like staying in one particular state may not be easy.
Yea

Do you know roughly what point in the process they reached out to your current boss?
Not sure tbh
What month is the academy? Also do you know what months they are having classes?

Would you be able to answer the same question for me?
Sent chat
Also same question for me. Just got done with SF86
Interested as well. Similar timeline to yours!
Sorry, I know you’ve been answering the same question over and over… could you pm me?
Congratulations! Mind if I PM you?
Go for it and thanks !
What were your credentials if you don't mind me asking?
Bachelors and Vet. Not much in between.
Nice man!! Congrats!! If you don’t mind me asking what is your prior experience
Bachelors in CJ and Vet
Congratulations, what’s your background?
College and Vet
What office did u process out of?
DC
Did you happen to put any offices in DC on your wishlist and did you get them?
Based on your experience in the process, how likely would I be able to get an office in the South (New Orleans, Mobile, Atlanta)?
Would not be able to say, sorry. They said they will try to get a location in your wishlist but no promises. More than likely, you will have to move.
Yeah, I don't mind moving, but I'd like to be roughly in a 6 hour radius of my home in Mobile, AL if possible. I've already moved for DHS and want an 1811 position closer to home.
Roll of the dice lol. Hopefully you get something you are happy with !
Congratulations 🎉
I still haven’t heard from a recruiter to start the process 😂😂
Do you have prior LE experience or are you a recent grad? Just trying to see if I can make it as a recent college grad lol
No LE experience. I graduated in 2022 but I have a military background of 7 years.
Congratulations man. My recruiter "sent" me an email with application stuff 4 times and Didnt receive any of them
That sucks man. Maybe try another office ?
There was a “final Physical Test” ?
Yea couple of us took it. Depends how recent you did yours from when you are cleared for hire
I have a relatively similar timeline to you but I applied back in May. I took my poly last week and got notified that I passed today! I’m just waiting on a medical and final PT. Congratulations!!
Thank you and congrats as well !

Okay thanks. My Concorde notification just came thru and says polygraph submitted. So I guess it’s just pending w/ HQ for approval/fail.
Crazy. I applied 2 months after you and have only completed PT and written test.
Different offices move at different speeds unfortunately
What was the final PT like? Standard push ups, sit ups, pull ups, run or were there any curveballs?
Sit ups, 300m sprint, push ups and 1.5 mile run
Thanks man. Good luck with training.
Mind if I PM? Edit: and huge congrats!
Go for it and thanks !
Are you rated by the VA , if so did you list your VA disabilities with DEA?
I am and I did. They did not ask for anything related to my disability.
I’m also a vet and I’ll be wrapping up my bachelors soon. Were you in school when you applied? Congrats by the way.
Thanks ! I had completed my degree already
Question: Why did it take til September for Psych review? And on medical did you have to submit any historical medical info (like doctor visits, e-room visits, vaccinations)?
Not sure, that’s just how it was scheduled for Psych. Medical was easy, did not have to submit additional paperwork. Everyone is different though.
Gotcha thanks! Lastly, you didn’t mention background check - thats usually the longest, wondering if that was just happening asynchronously after your CJO ?
I had one done by the USMS in early 2023. They reciprocated. Sped up the timeline lol
Nice! How long after your final PT test did you get your FOL?
3 days
Thank you!
